مزامیر 121

۱ 1 سرود درجات چشمان خود را به سوی کوههابرمی افرازم، که از آنجا اعانت من می‌آید. [ترجمه درست این آیه اینست: «چشمان خودرا بسوی کوهها برمی افرازم. اعانت من از کجا می‌آید؟» ]

A song of degrees. I will lift mine eyes vnto the mountaines, from whence mine helpe shall come.

۲ 2 اعانت من از جانب خداوند است، که آسمان و زمین را آفرید.

Mine helpe commeth from the Lord, which hath made the heauen and the earth.

۳ 3 او نخواهد گذاشت که پای تو لغزش خورد. او که حافظ توست نخواهدخوابید.

He wil not suffer thy foote to slippe: for he that keepeth thee, will not slumber.

۴ 4 اینک او که حافظ اسرائیل است، نمی خوابد و به خواب نمی رود.

Beholde, he that keepeth Israel, wil neither slumber nor sleepe.

۵ 5 خداوند حافظ تو می‌باشد. خداوند به‌دست راستت سایه تو است.

The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shadow at thy right hand.

۶ 6 آفتاب در روز به تو اذیت نخواهد رسانید و نه ماهتاب در شب.

The sunne shall not smite thee by day, nor the moone by night.

۷ 7 خداوندتو را از هر بدی نگاه می‌دارد. او جان تو را حفظخواهد کرد.

The Lord shall preserue thee from all euil: he shall keepe thy soule.

۸ 8 خداوند خروج و دخولت را نگاه خواهد داشت، از الان و تا ابدالاباد.

The Lord shall preserue thy going out, and thy comming in from henceforth and for euer.
