مزامیر 105

۱ 1 یهوه را حمد گویید و نام او رابخوانید. اعمال او را در میان قوم هااعلام نمایید.

Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name: make known his deeds among the nations.

۲ 2 او را بسرایید برای او تسبیح بخوانید. در تمام کارهای عجیب او تفکر نمایید.

Sing to him, make music to him, tell of all his wondrous works.

۳ 3 در نام قدوس او فخر کنید. دل طالبان خداوندشادمان باشد.

Make your boast in his holy name, be glad at heart, you who seek the Lord.

۴ 4 خداوند و قوت او را بطلبید. روی او را پیوسته طالب باشید.

Seek after the Lord and his strength, seek his face evermore.

۵ 5 کارهای عجیب را که او کرده است به یاد آورید. آیات او و داوریهای دهان او را.

Remember the wonders he did, his portents, the judgments he uttered,

۶ 6 ‌ای ذریت بنده او ابراهیم! ای فرزندان یعقوب، برگزیده او!

you who are offspring of Abraham, his servant, the children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

۷ 7 یهوه خدای ماست. داوریهای او در تمامی جهان است.

He is the Lord our God: in all the earth are his judgments.

۸ 8 عهد خود رایاد می‌دارد تا ابدالاباد و کلامی را که بر هزاران پشت فرموده است.

He remembers forever his covenant, his promise for a thousand generations

۹ 9 آن عهدی را که با ابراهیم بسته و قسمی را که برای اسحاق خورده است.

The covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac,

۱۰ 10 و آن را برای یعقوب فریضه‌ای استوار ساخت و برای اسرائیل عهد جاودانی.

and confirmed as a statute to Jacob, a pact everlasting to Israel

۱۱ 11 و گفت که زمین کنعان را به تو خواهم داد تا حصه میراث شماشود.

to give them the land of Canaan as the lot which they should inherit.

۱۲ 12 هنگامی که عددی معدود بودند، قلیل العدد و غربا در آنجا.

And when they were very few, few and but pilgrims therein,

۱۳ 13 و از امتی تا امتی سرگردان می‌بودند و از یک مملکت تا قوم دیگر.

wandering from nation to nation, journeying from people to people,

۱۴ 14 او نگذاشت که کسی بر ایشان ظلم کند بلکه پادشاهان را به‌خاطر ایشان توبیخ نمود

he allowed no one to oppress them, even punishing kings for their sakes.

۱۵ 15 که بر مسیحان من دست مگذارید. و انبیای مرا ضررمرسانید.

He forbade them to touch his anointed, or do any hurt to his prophets.

۱۶ 16 پس قحطی را بر آن زمین خواند وتمامی قوام نان را شکست،

When he called down famine on the land, and cut off the bread which sustained them,

۱۷ 17 و مردی پیش روی ایشان فرستاد، یعنی یوسف را که او را به غلامی فروختند.

he sent before them a man, Joseph, who was sold as a slave.

۱۸ 18 پایهای وی را به زنجیرها خستند وجان او در آهن بسته شد

His feet were galled with fetters, he was laid in chains of iron,

۱۹ 19 تا وقتی که سخن اوواقع شد. و کلام خداوند او را امتحان نمود.

till the time that his word came to pass, the word of the Lord that had tried him.

۲۰ 20 آنگاه پادشاه فرستاده، بندهای او را گشاد وسلطان قوم‌ها او را آزاد ساخت.

The king sent and freed him, the ruler of nations released him.

۲۱ 21 او را بر خانه خود حاکم قرار داد و مختار بر تمام مایملک خویش.

He made him lord of his household, and ruler of all his possessions,

۲۲ 22 تا به اراده خود سروران او را بند نمایدو مشایخ او را حکمت آموزد.

to admonish his princes at will and instruct his elders in wisdom.

۲۳ 23 پس اسرائیل به مصر درآمدند و یعقوب درزمین حام غربت پذیرفت.

Thus Israel came into Egypt, Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

۲۴ 24 و او قوم خود را به غایت بارور گردانید و ایشان را از دشمنان ایشان قوی تر ساخت.

His people he made very fruitful, and mightier than their foes.

۲۵ 25 لیکن دل ایشان را برگردانید تابر قوم او کینه ورزند و بر بندگان وی حیله نمایند.

He inspired them to hate his people, and to deal with his servants craftily.

۲۶ 26 بنده خود موسی را فرستاد و هارون را که برگزیده بود.

He sent his servant Moses, and Aaron whom he had chosen,

۲۷ 27 کلمات و آیات او را در میان ایشان اقامه کردند و عجایب او را در زمین حام.

portents he wrought in Egypt, and signs in the land of Ham.

۲۸ 28 ظلمت را فرستاد که تاریک گردید. پس به کلام او مخالفت نورزیدند.

Darkness he sent, and it fell: yet they gave no heed to his word.

۲۹ 29 آبهای ایشان را به خون مبدل ساخت و ماهیان ایشان را میرانید.

He turned their waters into blood, thus causing their fish to die.

۳۰ 30 زمین ایشان غوکها را به ازدحام پیدا نمود، حتی درحرمهای پادشاهان ایشان.

Their land was alive with frogs, swarming even in the royal chambers.

۳۱ 31 او گفت و انواع مگسها پدید آمد و پشه هادر همه حدود ایشان.

At his command came flies, and lice in all their borders.

۳۲ 32 تگرگ را به عوض باران بارانید و آتش مشتعل را در زمین ایشان.

He gave them hail for rain and fire that flashed through the land,

۳۳ 33 موهاو انجیرهای ایشان را زد و درختان محال ایشان رابشکست.

smiting their vines and figs, breaking the trees of their border.

۳۴ 34 او گفت و ملخ پدید آمد و کرمها ازحد شماره افزون.

At his command came locusts, young locusts beyond all counting,

۳۵ 35 و هر سهم را در زمین ایشان بخوردند و میوه های زمین ایشان را خوردند.

which ate every herb in the land, ate up, too, the fruit of their ground.

۳۶ 36 وجمیع نخست زادگان را در زمین ایشان زد، اوائل تمامی قوت ایشان را.

He struck down in their land all the firstborn, the firstlings of all their strength

۳۷ 37 و ایشان را با طلا و نقره بیرون آورد که در اسباط ایشان یکی ضعیف نبود.

Then forth he led Israel with silver and gold, and among his tribes no one was weary.

۳۸ 38 مصریان از بیرون رفتن ایشان شاد بودند زیرا که خوف ایشان بر آنها مستولی گردیده بود.

Egypt was glad when they left, for terror had fallen upon them.

۳۹ 39 ابری برای پوشش گسترانید و آتشی که شامگاه روشنایی دهد.

He spread out a cloud to screen them, and fire to give light in the night.

۴۰ 40 سوال کردند پس سلوی برای ایشان فرستاد و ایشان را از نان آسمان سیرگردانید.

He sent quails at their entreaty, and heavenly bread in abundance.

۴۱ 41 صخره را بشکافت و آب جاری شد؛ در جایهای خشک مثل نهر روان گردید.

He opened the rock; waters gushed: in the desert they ran like a river.

۴۲ 42 زیراکلام مقدس خود را به یاد آورد و بنده خویش ابراهیم را.

For he remembered his holy promise to Abraham his servant.

۴۳ 43 و قوم خود را با شادمانی بیرون آورد و برگزیدگان خویش را با ترنم.

So he led out his people with joy, his elect with a ringing cry.

۴۴ 44 وزمینهای امتها را بدیشان داد و زحمت قوم‌ها راوارث شدند.

And he gave them the lands of the nations, the fruit of their toil for possession,

۴۵ 45 تا آنکه فرایض او را نگاه دارند وشریعت او را حفظ نمایند. هللویاه!

that so they might keep his statutes, and be of his laws observant. Hallelujah.
