امثال 2
| ای پسر من اگر سخنان مرا قبول می‌نمودی و اوامر مرا نزد خود نگاه می‌داشتی، | ۱ 1 |
O son my if you will receive words my and commandments my you will treasure with you.
| تاگوش خود را به حکمت فرا گیری و دل خود را به فطانت مایل گردانی، | ۲ 2 |
To make attend to wisdom ear your you will incline heart your to understanding.
| اگر فهم را دعوت می‌کردی و آواز خود را به فطانت بلندمی نمودی، | ۳ 3 |
That except to discernment you will call to understanding you will give voice your.
| اگر آن را مثل نقره می‌طلبیدی ومانند خزانه های مخفی جستجو می‌کردی، | ۴ 4 |
If you will seek it like silver and like treasures you will search for it.
| آنگاه ترس خداوند را می‌فهمیدی، و معرفت خدا را حاصل می‌نمودی. | ۵ 5 |
Then you will discern [the] fear of Yahweh and [the] knowledge of God you will find.
| زیرا خداوندحکمت را می‌بخشد، و از دهان وی معرفت وفطانت صادر می‌شود. | ۶ 6 |
For Yahweh he gives wisdom from mouth his knowledge and understanding.
| به جهت مستقیمان، حکمت کامل را ذخیره می‌کند و برای آنانی که درکاملیت سلوک می‌نمایند، سپر می‌باشد، | ۷ 7 |
(He stores up *QK) for upright [people] success a shield to [those who] walk of integrity.
| تاطریقهای انصاف را محافظت نماید و طریق مقدسان خویش را نگاه دارد. | ۸ 8 |
To guard [the] paths of justice and [the] way of (faithful [people] his *QK) he will preserve.
| پس آنگاه عدالت و انصاف را می‌فهمیدی، و استقامت و هر طریق نیکو را. | ۹ 9 |
Then you will understand righteousness and justice and uprightness every course of good.
| زیرا که حکمت به دل تو داخل می‌شد و معرفت نزد جان تو عزیزمی گشت. | ۱۰ 10 |
For it will come wisdom in heart your and knowledge to self your it will be pleasant.
| تمیز، تو را محافظت می‌نمود، وفطانت، تو را نگاه می‌داشت، | ۱۱ 11 |
Discretion it will watch over you understanding it will preserve you.
| تا تو را از راه شریر رهایی بخشد، و از کسانی که به سخنان کج متکلم می‌شوند. | ۱۲ 12 |
To deliver you from a way evil from anyone [who] speaks perverse things.
| که راههای راستی را ترک می‌کنند، و به طریقهای تاریکی سالک می‌شوند. | ۱۳ 13 |
Those [who] leave paths of uprightness to walk in [the] ways of darkness.
| از عمل بد خشنودند، و از دروغهای شریرخرسندند. | ۱۴ 14 |
The [ones] joyful to do evil they exult in perverse things of evil.
| که در راههای خود معوجند، و درطریقهای خویش کج رو می‌باشند. | ۱۵ 15 |
Who paths their [are] twisted and [who are] crooked in tracks their.
| تا تو را اززن اجنبی رهایی بخشد، و از زن بیگانه‌ای که سخنان تملق‌آمیز می‌گوید؛ | ۱۶ 16 |
To deliver you from a woman strange from a foreign [woman] [who] words her she makes smooth.
| که مصاحب جوانی خود را ترک کرده، و عهد خدای خویش را فراموش نموده است. | ۱۷ 17 |
Who leaves [the] close friend of youth her and [the] covenant of God her she forgets.
| زیرا خانه او به موت فرو می‌رود و طریقهای او به مردگان. | ۱۸ 18 |
For she sank down to death house her and to [the] shades tracks her.
| کسانی که نزد وی روند برنخواهند گشت، و به طریقهای حیات نخواهند رسید. | ۱۹ 19 |
All [those who] go to her not they return! and not they reach [the] paths of life.
| تا به راه صالحان سلوک نمایی و طریقهای عادلان را نگاه داری. | ۲۰ 20 |
So that you may walk in [the] way of good [people] and [the] paths of righteous [people] you will keep.
| زیراکه راستان در زمین ساکن خواهند شد، و کاملان در آن باقی خواهند ماند. | ۲۱ 21 |
For upright [people] they will dwell [the] land and blameless [people] they will remain in it.
| لیکن شریران از زمین منقطع خواهند شد، و ریشه خیانتکاران از آن کنده خواهد گشت. | ۲۲ 22 |
And wicked [people] from [the] land they will be cut off and treacherous [people] they will be torn away from it.
