| «در آن زمان ملکوت آسمان مثل ده باکره خواهد بود که مشعلهای خود رابرداشته، به استقبال داماد بیرون رفتند. | ۱ 1 |
“Then the Kingdom of Heaven (God) will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went out to meet the bridegroom.
| و ازایشان پنج دانا و پنج نادان بودند. | ۲ 2 |
Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.
| اما نادانان مشعلهای خود را برداشته، هیچ روغن با خودنبردند. | ۳ 3 |
Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them,
| لیکن دانایان، روغن در ظروف خود بامشعلهای خویش برداشتند. | ۴ 4 |
but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps.
| و چون آمدن دامادبطول انجامید، همه پینکی زده، خفتند. | ۵ 5 |
Now while the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
| و درنصف شب صدایی بلند شد که “اینک دامادمی آید به استقبال وی بشتابید.” | ۶ 6 |
But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!’
| پس تمامی آن باکره‌ها برخاسته، مشعلهای خود را اصلاح نمودند. | ۷ 7 |
Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
| و نادانان، دانایان را گفتند: “از روغن خود به ما دهید زیرا مشعلهای ما خاموش می‌شود.” | ۸ 8 |
The foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’
| اما دانایان در جواب گفتند: “نمی شود، مبادا ما و شما را کفاف ندهد. بلکه نزدفروشندگان رفته، برای خود بخرید.” | ۹ 9 |
But the wise answered, saying, ‘What if there is not enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’
| و درحینی که ایشان بجهت خرید می‌رفتند، داماد برسید و آنانی که حاضر بودند، با وی به عروسی داخل شده، در بسته گردید. | ۱۰ 10 |
While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut.
| بعد از آن، باکره های دیگر نیز آمده، گفتند: “خداوندا برای ماباز کن.” | ۱۱ 11 |
Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us.’
| او در جواب گفت: “هرآینه به شمامی گویم شما را نمی شناسم.” | ۱۲ 12 |
But he answered, ‘Most certainly I tell you, I don’t know you.’
| پس بیدار باشیدزیرا که آن روز و ساعت را نمی دانید. | ۱۳ 13 |
Watch therefore, for you don’t know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
| «زیرا چنانکه مردی عازم سفر شده، غلامان خود را طلبید و اموال خود را بدیشان سپرد، | ۱۴ 14 |
“For it is like a man, going into another country, who called his own servants, and entrusted his goods to them.
| یکی را پنج قنطار و دیگری را دو وسومی را یک داد؛ هر یک را بحسب استعدادش. و بی‌درنگ متوجه سفر شد. | ۱۵ 15 |
To one he gave five talents [30,000 denarii; 2,587 lb; 117 kg], to another two talents [12,000 denarii; 1,035 lb; 46.8 kg], to another one talent [6,000 denarii; 517.5 lb; 23.4 kg]; to each according to his own ability. Then he went on his journey.
| پس آنکه پنج قنطار یافته بود، رفته و با آنها تجارت نموده، پنج قنطار دیگر سود کرد. | ۱۶ 16 |
Immediately he who received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.
| و همچنین صاحب دوقنطار نیز دو قنطار دیگر سود گرفت. | ۱۷ 17 |
In the same way, he also who got the two talents gained another two talents.
| اما آنکه یک قنطار گرفته بود، رفته زمین را کند و نقد آقای خود را پنهان نمود. | ۱۸ 18 |
But he who received the one talent [6,000 denarii; 517.5 lb; 23.4 kg] went away and dug in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.
| «و بعد از مدت مدیدی، آقای آن غلامان آمده، از ایشان حساب خواست. | ۱۹ 19 |
“Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and reconciled accounts with them.
| پس آنکه پنج قنطار یافته بود، پیش آمده، پنج قنطار دیگرآورده، گفت: خداوندا پنج قنطار به من سپردی، اینک پنج قنطار دیگر سود کردم.” | ۲۰ 20 |
He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents [30,000 denarii; 2,587 lb; 117 kg]. Behold, I have gained another five talents besides them [a total of 60,000 denarii; 5,175 lb; 234 kg].’
| آقای او به وی گفت: آفرین‌ای غلام نیک متدین! بر چیزهای اندک امین بودی، تو را بر چیزهای بسیار خواهم گماشت. به شادی خداوند خود داخل شو! | ۲۱ 21 |
“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
| وصاحب دو قنطار نیز آمده، گفت: ای آقا دو قنطارتسلیم من نمودی، اینک دو قنطار دیگر سودیافته‌ام. | ۲۲ 22 |
“He also who got the two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents [12,000 denarii; 1,035 lb; 46.8 kg]. Behold, I have gained another two talents besides them [a total of 24,000 denarii; 2,070 lb; 93.6 kg].’
| آقایش وی را گفت: آفرین‌ای غلام نیک متدین! بر چیزهای کم امین بودی، تو را بر چیزهای بسیار می‌گمارم. در خوشی خداوندخود داخل شو! | ۲۳ 23 |
“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
| پس آنکه یک قنطار گرفته بود، پیش آمده، گفت: ای آقا چون تو رامی شناختم که مرد درشت خویی می‌باشی، ازجایی که نکاشته‌ای می‌دروی و از جایی که نیفشانده‌ای جمع می‌کنی، | ۲۴ 24 |
“He also who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter.
| پس ترسان شده، رفتم و قنطار تو را زیر زمین نهفتم. اینک مال توموجود است. | ۲۵ 25 |
I was afraid, and went away and hid your single talent [6,000 denarii; 517.5 lb; 23.4 kg] in the earth. Behold, you have what is yours.’
| آقایش در جواب وی گفت: ای غلام شریر بیکاره! دانسته‌ای که از جایی که نکاشته‌ام میدروم و از مکانی که نپاشیده‌ام، جمع می‌کنم. | ۲۶ 26 |
“But his lord answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant. You knew that I reap where I didn’t sow, and gather where I didn’t scatter.
| از همین جهت تو را می‌بایست نقد مرابه صرافان بدهی تا وقتی که بیایم مال خود را باسود بیابم. | ۲۷ 27 |
You ought therefore to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back my own with interest.
| الحال آن قنطار را از او گرفته، به صاحب ده قنطار بدهید. | ۲۸ 28 |
Take away therefore the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents.
| زیرا به هر‌که داردداده شود و افزونی یابد و از آنکه ندارد آنچه داردنیز گرفته شود. | ۲۹ 29 |
For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who does not have, even that which he has will be taken away.
| و آن غلام بی‌نفع را در ظلمت خارجی اندازید، جایی که گریه و فشار دندان خواهد بود. | ۳۰ 30 |
Throw out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
| «اما چون پسر انسان در جلال خود باجمیع ملائکه مقدس خویش آید، آنگاه بر کرسی جلال خود خواهد نشست، | ۳۱ 31 |
“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.
| و جمیع امت‌ها درحضور او جمع شوند و آنها را از همدیگر جدامی کند به قسمی که شبان میشها را از بزها جدامی کند. | ۳۲ 32 |
Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
| و میشها را بر دست راست و بزها را برچپ خود قرار دهد. | ۳۳ 33 |
He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
| آنگاه پادشاه به اصحاب طرف راست گوید: بیایید‌ای برکت یافتگان از پدر من و ملکوتی را که از ابتدای عالم برای شما آماده‌شده است، به میراث گیرید. | ۳۴ 34 |
Then the King will tell those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of 'Avi ·my Father·, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;
| زیرا چون گرسنه بودم مرا طعام دادید، تشنه بودم سیرآبم نمودید، غریب بودم مرا جا دادید، | ۳۵ 35 |
for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in.
| عریان بودم مراپوشانیدید، مریض بودم عیادتم کردید، در حبس بودم دیدن من آمدید. | ۳۶ 36 |
I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.’
| آنگاه عادلان به پاسخ گویند: ای خداوند، کی گرسنه ات دیدیم تاطعامت دهیم، یا تشنه ات یافتیم تا سیرآبت نماییم، | ۳۷ 37 |
“Then the upright will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink?
| یا کی تو را غریب یافتیم تا تو را جادهیم یا عریان تا بپوشانیم، | ۳۸ 38 |
When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you?
| و کی تو را مریض یامحبوس یافتیم تا عیادتت کنیم؟ | ۳۹ 39 |
When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’
| پادشاه درجواب ایشان گوید: هرآینه به شما می‌گویم، آنچه به یکی از این برادران کوچکترین من کردید، به من کرده‌اید. | ۴۰ 40 |
“The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
| «پس اصحاب طرف چپ را گوید: ای ملعونان، از من دور شوید در آتش جاودانی که برای ابلیس و فرشتگان او مهیا شده است. (aiōnios g166) | ۴۱ 41 |
Then he will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels; (aiōnios g166)
| زیراگرسنه بودم مرا خوراک ندادید، تشنه بودم مراآب ندادید، | ۴۲ 42 |
for I was hungry, and you didn’t give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink;
| غریب بودم مرا جا ندادید، عریان بودم مرا نپوشانیدید، مریض و محبوس بودم عیادتم ننمودید. | ۴۳ 43 |
I was a stranger, and you didn’t take me in; naked, and you didn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’
| پس ایشان نیز به پاسخ گویند: ای خداوند، کی تو را گرسنه یا تشنه یاغریب یا برهنه یا مریض یا محبوس دیده، خدمتت نکردیم؟ | ۴۴ 44 |
“Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’
| آنگاه در جواب ایشان گوید: هرآینه به شما می‌گویم، آنچه به یکی از این کوچکان نکردید، به من نکرده‌اید. | ۴۵ 45 |
“Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you didn’t do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’
