لاویان 19

۱ 1 و خداوند موسی را خطاب کرده، گفت:

Yahweh also said to Moses/me,

۲ 2 «تمامی جماعت بنی‌اسرائیل راخطاب کرده، به ایشان بگو: مقدس باشید، زیرا که من یهوه خدای شما قدوس هستم.

“Speak to all the people of Israel and tell them this: You must be holy, because I, Yahweh your God, am holy, [and I want you to be like me].

۳ 3 هر یکی ازشما مادر و پدر خود را احترام نماید و سبت های مرا نگاه دارید، من یهوه خدای شما هستم.

‘Each of you must respect your father and your mother. And you must (honor/treat respectfully) the Sabbath days. I am Yahweh, your God, [and that is what I am commanding you to do].

۴ 4 به سوی بتها میل مکنید، و خدایان ریخته شده برای خود مسازید. من یهوه خدای شما هستم.

‘Do not worship idols or make metal statues of gods for yourselves. I am Yahweh, your God, [and I am the only one you must worship].

۵ 5 وچون ذبیحه سلامتی نزد خداوند بگذرانید، آن رابگذرانید تا مقبول شوید،

‘Then you bring an offering to maintain fellowship with me, offer it in a way that will cause me to accept it.

۶ 6 در روزی که آن را ذبح نمایید. و در فردای آن روز خورده شود، و اگرچیزی از آن تا روز سوم بماند به آتش سوخته شود.

The meat should be eaten on the day that you sacrifice it, but you are permitted to eat some of it on the next day. Anything that remains until the third/next day must be completely burned.

۷ 7 و اگر در روز سوم خورده شود، مکروه می‌باشد، مقبول نخواهد شد.

For any of it to be eaten on the third day is very displeasing to me, and I will not accept that offering.

۸ 8 و هر‌که آن رابخورد، متحمل گناه خود خواهد بود، زیرا چیزمقدس خداوند را بی‌حرمت کرده است، آن کس از قوم خود را منقطع خواهد شد.

I will punish anyone who eats it [after the second day], because he will not have respected that what I say is holy. And that person must no longer be allowed to associate with my people.

۹ 9 «و چون حاصل زمین خود را درو کنید، گوشه های مزرعه خود را تمام نکنید، و محصول خود را خوشه چینی مکنید.

‘Then you harvest your grain, leave the grain at the very edge of the field, and do not pick up the grain that has fallen on the ground.

۱۰ 10 و تاکستان خود رادانه چینی منما، و خوشه های ریخته شده تاکستان خود را بر مچین، آنها را برای فقیر وغریب بگذار، من یهوه خدای شما هستم.

And when you harvest your grapes, do not go back a second time to try to harvest some more, and do not pick up the grapes that have fallen on the ground. Leave those things for the poor people and for foreigners who are living among you. I, Yahweh your God, [am commanding those things].

۱۱ 11 دزدی مکنید، و مکر منمایید، و با یکدیگردروغ مگویید.

‘Do not steal anything. ‘Do not tell lies. ‘Do not deceive each other.

۱۲ 12 و به نام من قسم دروغ مخورید، که نام خدای خود را بی‌حرمت نموده باشی، من یهوه هستم.

‘Do not show that you do not respect me by using/saying my name to falsely promise that you will do something. [Do not forget that] I am Yahweh, your God.

۱۳ 13 مال همسایه خود را غصب منما، و ستم مکن، و مزد مزدور نزد تو تا صبح نماند.

‘Do not cheat anyone or steal from anyone. [‘If you have agreed to] pay your workers at the end of the day, [do what you have promised]; do not keep those wages until the next day.

۱۴ 14 کر را لعنت مکن، و پیش روی کور سنگ لغزش مگذار، و از خدای خود بترس، من یهوه هستم.

‘Do not curse deaf people, and do not put things in the path of blind people to cause them to stumble.

۱۵ 15 در داوری بی‌انصافی مکن، و فقیر راطرفداری منما، و بزرگ را محترم مدار، و درباره همسایه خود به انصاف داوری بکن؛

‘Always [LIT] judge people fairly [DOU]. Do not do special favors for either poor people or rich people.

۱۶ 16 در میان قوم خود برای سخن‌چینی گردش مکن، و بر خون همسایه خود مایست. من یهوه هستم.

‘Do not spread false rumors about other people. ‘Do not say anything [in court] that would result in some [innocent] person being executed. I, Yahweh, [am commanding this].

۱۷ 17 برادر خود را در دل خود بغض منما، البته همسایه خودرا تنبیه کن، و به‌سبب او متحمل گناه مباش.

‘Do not hate anyone. Instead, honestly rebuke those who ought to be rebuked, in order that you also will not be guilty.

۱۸ 18 ازابنای قوم خود انتقام مگیر، و کینه مورز، وهمسایه خود را مثل خویشتن محبت نما. من یهوه هستم.

‘Do not try to get revenge against someone or be angry with someone for a long time. Instead, love other people like you love yourself. I, Yahweh your God, [am commanding this].

۱۹ 19 فرایض مرا نگاه دارید. بهیمه خودرا با غیر جنس به جماع وامدار؛ و مزرعه خود رابه دو قسم تخم مکار؛ و رخت از دوقسم بافته شده در بر خود مکن.

‘Obey my laws. ‘Do not allow two different kinds of animals to mate with each other. ‘Do not plant two different kinds of seed in the [same] field. ‘Do not wear clothing made from two different kinds of material.

۲۰ 20 و مردی که با زنی همبستر شود و آن زن کنیز و نامزد کسی باشد، امافدیه نداده شده، و نه آزادی به او بخشیده، ایشان را سیاست باید کرد، لیکن کشته نشوند زیرا که اوآزاد نبود.

‘If a man has sex with a slave woman who has been promised to marry some other man, but she has not been bought by that man and is still a slave, the man who had sex with her must be punished. But because she is still a slave, she and the man who had sex with her must not be killed.

۲۱ 21 و مرد برای قربانی جرم خود قوچ قربانی جرم را نزد خداوند به در خیمه اجتماع بیاورد.

However, that man must bring a ram to [be slaughtered at] the entrance of the Sacred Tent area, to be an offering in order that he no longer be guilty for his sin.

۲۲ 22 و کاهن برای وی به قوچ قربانی جرم رانزد خداوند گناهش را که کرده است کفاره خواهدکرد، و او از گناهی که کرده است آمرزیده خواهدشد.

The priest will offer that ram to me in order that the man will be forgiven for the sin that he committed, and I will forgive him.

۲۳ 23 «و چون به آن زمین داخل شدید و هر قسم درخت را برای خوراک نشاندید، پس میوه آن رامثل نامختونی آن بشمارید، سه سال برای شمانامختون باشد؛ خورده نشود.

‘When you enter the land [that I have promised to give to you], and when you plant various kinds of fruit trees, you must not eat any of their fruit for three years [DOU].

۲۴ 24 و در سال چهارم همه میوه آن برای تمجید خداوند مقدس خواهدبود.

In the fourth year all of their fruit must be set aside to belong to me; it must be brought to me to be an offering to praise me.

۲۵ 25 و در سال پنجم میوه آن را بخورید تامحصول خود را برای شما زیاده کند. من یهوه خدای شما هستم.

But in the fifth/next year, you will be permitted to eat their fruit. If you do that, your trees will produce much fruit. I, Yahweh your God, [am promising that].

۲۶ 26 هیچ‌چیز را با خون مخورید و تفال مزنید و شگون مکنید.

‘Do not eat any meat that still has [the animal’s] blood in it. ‘Do not consult spirits to find out what will happen in the future, and do not practice sorcery.

۲۷ 27 گوشه های سر خود را متراشید، و گوشه های ریش خود را مچینید.

‘Do not shave the hair at the sides of your heads [like pagan people do].

۲۸ 28 بدن خود را بجهت مرده مجروح مسازید، و هیچ نشان بر خود داغ مکنید. من یهوه هستم.

‘Do not cut your bodies [when you are mourning] for people who have died, and do not put tattoos on your bodies. I, Yahweh your God, [am commanding this].

۲۹ 29 دختر خود را بی‌عصمت مساز، و او را به فاحشگی وامدار، مبادا زمین مرتکب زنا شود و زمین پر از فجور گردد.

‘Do not disgrace your daughters by forcing them to become prostitutes. If you cause them to become prostitutes, soon the land will be filled with prostitutes and all other kinds of people’s wicked behavior.

۳۰ 30 سبت های مرا نگاه دارید، و مکان مقدس مرامحترم دارید. من یهوه هستم.

‘Honor my Sabbath days and revere my Sacred Tent, because I, Yahweh, [live there].

۳۱ 31 به اصحاب اجنه توجه مکنید، و از جادوگران پرسش منمایید، تاخود را به ایشان نجس سازید. من یهوه خدای شما هستم.

‘Do not seek advice from those who (consult/talk with) the spirits of dead people [DOU], because if you do that, they will defile you. I, Yahweh your God, [am the one you should consult].

۳۲ 32 در‌پیش ریش سفید برخیز، و روی مرد پیر را محترم دار، و از خدای خود بترس. من یهوه هستم.

‘Stand up when old people [enter the room], and show that you respect them, and also revere me, your God; [that is what] I, Yahweh, [am commanding].

۳۳ 33 و چون غریبی با تو در زمین شما ماواگزیند، او را میازارید.

‘When foreigners live among you [in your land], do not mistreat them.

۳۴ 34 غریبی که در میان شماماوا گزیند، مثل متوطن از شما باشد. و او را مثل خود محبت نما، زیرا که شما در زمین مصر غریب بودید. من یهوه خدای شما هستم.

You must treat them like you treat your fellow-citizens. Love them like you love yourselves, and do not forget that once, when you were foreigners in Egypt, [you were badly mistreated by the people of Egypt]. I, Yahweh your God, [am commanding you to do this].

۳۵ 35 در عدل هیچ بی‌انصافی مکنید، یعنی در‌پیمایش یا دروزن یا در‌پیمانه.

‘When you are measuring things, to see how long they are or how much they weigh or how many there are,

۳۶ 36 ترازوهای راست و سنگهای راست و ایفه راست و هین راست بدارید. من یهوه خدای شما هستم که شما را از زمین مصر بیرون آوردم.

use correct [measuring sticks and] scales and weights [on the scales] and measuring baskets and other measuring containers. I Yahweh, your God, who brought you out of Egypt, [am giving you these laws].

۳۷ 37 پس جمیع فرایض مرا و احکام مرانگاه دارید و آنها را بجا آورید. من یهوه هستم.»

‘Obey carefully [DOU] all my laws and decrees, because I, Yahweh, [am the one who am commanding them].’”
