لاویان 12

۱ 1 و خداوند موسی را خطاب کرده، گفت:

And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:

۲ 2 «بنی‌اسرائیل را خطاب کرده، بگو: چون زنی آبستن شده، پسر نرینه‌ای بزاید، آنگاه هفت روز نجس باشد، موافق ایام طمث حیضش نجس باشد.

Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, A woman when she conceiveth seed and giveth birth to a male child, then shall she be unclean seven days, according to the days of her removal in her sickness shall she be unclean.

۳ 3 و در روز هشتم گوشت غلفه اومختون شود.

And, on the eighth day, shall the flesh of his foreskin be circumcised.

۴ 4 و سی و سه روز در خون تطهیرخود بماند، و هیچ‌چیز مقدس را لمس ننماید، وبه مکان مقدس داخل نشود، تا ایام طهرش تمام شود.

And, for thirty-three days, shall she continue in the blood of purification, —no hallowed thing, shall she touch, and, into the sanctuary, shall she not enter, until her days of purification are fulfilled.

۵ 5 و اگر دختری بزاید، دو هفته برحسب مدت طمث خود نجس باشد، و شصت و شش روز در خون تطهیر خود بماند.

But if, a female child, she bear, then shall she be unclean two weeks as in her removal, —and, for sixty-six days, shall she continue in the blood of purification.

۶ 6 و چون ایام طهرش برای پسر یا دختر تمام شود، بره‌ای یک ساله برای قربانی سوختنی و جوجه کبوتر یافاخته‌ای برای قربانی گناه به در خیمه اجتماع نزدکاهن بیاورد.

And, when the days of her purification are fulfilled, whether for a son or for a daughter, she shall bring in a lamb, the choice of its year, as an ascending-sacrifice, and a young pigeon or a turtle-dove, as a sin-bearer, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, unto the priest;

۷ 7 و او آن را به حضور خداوندخواهد گذرانید، و برایش کفاره خواهد کرد، تا ازچشمه خون خود طاهر شود. این است قانون آن که بزاید، خواه پسر خواه دختر.

and he shall bring it near before Yahweh so shall the priest put a propitiatory-covering over her, and she shall be clean from her fountain of blood. This, is the law for her that hath given birth, to a male child or to a female.

۸ 8 و اگر دست اوبه قیمت بره نرسد، آنگاه دو فاخته یا دو جوجه کبوتر بگیرد، یکی برای قربانی سوختنی ودیگری برای قربانی گناه. و کاهن برای وی کفاره خواهد کرد، و طاهر خواهد شد.»

But, if her hand findeth not sufficiency for a lamb, then shall she take two turtle doves or two young pigeons, one for an ascending-sacrifice and one for a sin-bearer, —so shall the priest put a propitiatory-covering over her, and she shall be clean.
