| ای یهوه آنچه بر ما واقع شد به یاد آور وملاحظه فرموده، عار ما را ببین. | ۱ 1 |
Remember, Yahweh, what has happened to us; look and see our disgrace.
| میراث ما از آن غریبان و خانه های ما از آن اجنبیان گردیده است. | ۲ 2 |
Our inheritance has been turned over to strangers; our houses to foreigners.
| ما یتیم و بی‌پدر شده‌ایم و مادران ما مثل بیوه‌ها گردیده‌اند. | ۳ 3 |
We have become orphans, the fatherless, and our mothers are like widows.
| آب خود را به نقره می‌نوشیم و هیزم ما به مافروخته می‌شود. | ۴ 4 |
We must pay silver for the water we drink, and we must pay silver to get our own wood.
| تعاقب کنندگان ما به گردن ما رسیده‌اند وخسته شده، راحت نداریم. | ۵ 5 |
Those who are coming after us are close behind us; we are weary and we can find no rest.
| با اهل مصر و آشور دست دادیم تا از نان سیرشویم. | ۶ 6 |
We have given ourselves to Egypt and to Assyria to get enough food.
| پدران ما گناه ورزیده، نابود شده‌اند و مامتحمل عصیان ایشان گردیده‌ایم. | ۷ 7 |
Our fathers sinned, and they are no more, and we bear their iniquities.
| غلامان بر ما حکمرانی می‌کنند و کسی نیست که از دست ایشان رهایی دهد. | ۸ 8 |
Slaves rule over us, and there is no one to deliver us from their hand.
| از ترس شمشیر اهل بیابان، نان خود را بخطرجان خویش می‌یابیم. | ۹ 9 |
We get our bread only by risking our lives, because of the sword in the wilderness.
| پوست ما به‌سبب سموم قحط مثل تنورسوخته شده است. | ۱۰ 10 |
Our skin has grown as hot as an oven because of the burning heat of hunger.
| زنان را در صهیون بی‌عصمت کردند ودوشیزگان را در شهرهای یهودا. | ۱۱ 11 |
Women are raped in Zion, and virgins in the cities of Judah.
| سروران از دست ایشان به دار کشیده شده و به مشایخ اعتنا ننمودند. | ۱۲ 12 |
Princes are hung up by their own hands, and no honor is shown to the elders.
| جوانان سنگهای آسیا را برمی دارند وکودکان زیر بار هیزم می‌افتند. | ۱۳ 13 |
Young men are forced to grind grain with a millstone, and boys stagger under heavy loads of wood.
| مشایخ از دروازه‌ها نابود شدند و جوانان ازنغمه سرایی خویش. | ۱۴ 14 |
The elders have left the city gate, and the young men have left their music.
| شادی دل ما نیست شد و رقص ما به ماتم مبدل گردید. | ۱۵ 15 |
The joy of our heart has ceased and our dancing has turned into mourning.
| تاج از سر ما افتاد، وای بر ما زیرا که گناه کردیم. | ۱۶ 16 |
The crown has fallen from our head; woe to us, for we have sinned!
| از این جهت دل ما بیتاب شده است و به‌سبب این چیزها چشمان ما تار گردیده است. | ۱۷ 17 |
For this our heart has become sick, for these things our eyes grow dim
| یعنی به‌خاطر کوه صهیون که ویران شد وروباهان در آن گردش می‌کنند. | ۱۸ 18 |
for Mount Zion lies desolate, with jackals prowling over it.
| اما تو‌ای یهوه تا ابدالاباد جلوس می‌فرمایی و کرسی تو تا جمیع دهرها خواهدبود. | ۱۹ 19 |
But you, Yahweh, reign forever, and you will sit upon your throne from generation to generation.
| پس برای چه ما را تا به ابد فراموش کرده وما را مدت مدیدی ترک نموده‌ای. | ۲۰ 20 |
Why do you forget us forever? Why do you forsake us for so many days?
| ای یهوه ما را بسوی خود برگردان وبازگشت خواهیم کرد و ایام ما را مثل زمان سلف تازه کن. | ۲۱ 21 |
Restore us to yourself, Yahweh, and we will be restored. Renew our days as they were long ago—
| و الا ما را بالکل رد نموده‌ای و بر مابی نهایت غضبناک شده‌ای. | ۲۲ 22 |
unless you have utterly rejected us and you are angry with us beyond measure.
