داوران 3
| پس اینانند طوایفی که خداوند واگذاشت تا به واسطه آنها اسرائیل را بیازماید، یعنی جمیع آنانی که همه جنگهای کنعان را ندانسته بودند. | ۱ 1 |
Now these are the nations which Jehovah left, to prove Israel by them, even as many [of Israel] as had not known all the wars of Canaan;
| تا طبقات بنی‌اسرائیل دانشمند شوند وجنگ را به ایشان تعلیم دهد، یعنی آنانی که آن راپیشتر به هیچ وجه نمی دانستند. | ۲ 2 |
only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as beforetime knew nothing thereof:
| پنج سردارفلسطینیان و جمیع کنعانیان و صیدونیان و حویان که در کوهستان لبنان از کوه بعل حرمون تا مدخل حمات ساکن بودند. | ۳ 3 |
[namely], the five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baal-hermon unto the entrance of Hamath.
| و اینها برای آزمایش بنی‌اسرائیل بودند، تا معلوم شود که آیا احکام خداوند را که به واسطه موسی به پدران ایشان امرفرموده بود، اطاعت خواهند کرد یا نه. | ۴ 4 |
And they were [left], to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of Jehovah, which he commanded their fathers by Moses.
| پس بنی‌اسرائیل در میان کنعانیان و حتیان و اموریان وفرزیان و حویان و یبوسیان ساکن می‌بودند. | ۵ 5 |
And the children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites, the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites:
| دختران ایشان را برای خود به زنی می‌گرفتند، ودختران خود را به پسران ایشان می‌دادند، وخدایان آنها را عبادت می‌نمودند. | ۶ 6 |
and they took their daughters to be their wives, and gave their own daughters to their sons and served their gods.
| و بنی‌اسرائیل آنچه در نظر خداوند ناپسندبود، کردند، و یهوه خدای خود را فراموش نموده، بعلها و بتها را عبادت کردند. | ۷ 7 |
And the children of Israel did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, and forgat Jehovah their God, and served the Baalim and the Asheroth.
| و غضب خداوند بر اسرائیل افروخته شده، ایشان را به‌دست کوشان رشعتایم، پادشاه ارام نهرین، فروخت، و بنی‌اسرائیل کوشان رشعتایم را هشت سال بندگی کردند. | ۸ 8 |
Therefore the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Cushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Cushan-rishathaim eight years.
| و چون بنی‌اسرائیل نزدخداوند فریاد کردند، خداوند برای بنی‌اسرائیل نجات‌دهنده‌ای یعنی عتنئیل بن قناز برادر کوچک کالیب را برپا داشت، و او ایشان را نجات داد. | ۹ 9 |
And when the children of Israel cried unto Jehovah, Jehovah raised up a saviour to the children of Israel, who saved them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother.
| وروح خداوند بر او نازل شد پس بنی‌اسرائیل راداوری کرد، و برای جنگ بیرون رفت، و خداوندکوشان رشعتایم، پادشاه ارام را به‌دست او تسلیم کرد، و دستش بر کوشان رشعتایم مستولی گشت. | ۱۰ 10 |
And the Spirit of Jehovah came upon him, and he judged Israel; and he went out to war, and Jehovah delivered Cushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand: and his hand prevailed against Cushan-rishathaim.
| و زمین چهل سال آرامی یافت. پس عتنئیل بن قناز مرد. | ۱۱ 11 |
And the land had rest forty years. And Othniel the son of Kenaz died.
| و بنی‌اسرائیل بار دیگر در نظر خداوندبدی کردند، و خداوند عجلون، پادشاه موآب رابر اسرائیل مستولی ساخت، زیرا که در نظرخداوند شرارت ورزیده بودند. | ۱۲ 12 |
And the children of Israel again did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah: and Jehovah strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah.
| و او بنی عمون و عمالیق را نزد خود جمع کرده، آمد، وبنی‌اسرائیل را شکست داد، و ایشان شهرنخلستان را گرفتند. | ۱۳ 13 |
And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalek; and he went and smote Israel, and they possessed the city of palm-trees.
| و بنی‌اسرائیل عجلون، پادشاه موآب را هجده سال بندگی کردند. | ۱۴ 14 |
And the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.
| و چون بنی‌اسرائیل نزد خداوند فریادبرآوردند، خداوند برای ایشان نجات‌دهنده‌ای یعنی‌ایهود بن جیرای بنیامینی را که مردچپ دستی بود، برپا داشت، و بنی‌اسرائیل به‌دست او برای عجلون، پادشاه موآب، ارمغانی فرستادند. | ۱۵ 15 |
But when the children of Israel cried unto Jehovah, Jehovah raised them up a saviour, Ehud the son of Gera, the Benjamite, a man left-handed. And the children of Israel sent tribute by him unto Eglon the king of Moab.
| و ایهود خنجر دودمی که طولش یک ذراع بود، برای خود ساخت و آن را در زیرجامه بر ران راست خود بست. | ۱۶ 16 |
And Ehud made him a sword which had two edges, a cubit in length; and he girded it under his raiment upon his right thigh.
| و ارمغان را نزدعجلون، پادشاه موآب عرضه داشت. و عجلون مرد بسیار فربهی بود. | ۱۷ 17 |
And he offered the tribute unto Eglon king of Moab: now Eglon was a very fat man.
| و چون از عرضه داشتن ارمغان فارغ شد، آنانی را که ارمغان را آورده بودند، روانه نمود. | ۱۸ 18 |
And when he had made an end of offering the tribute, he sent away the people that bare the tribute.
| و خودش از معدنهای سنگ که نزد جلجال بود، برگشته، گفت: «ای پادشاه سخنی مخفی برای تو دارم.» گفت: «ساکت باش.» و جمیع حاضران از پیش او بیرون رفتند. | ۱۹ 19 |
But he himself turned back from the quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret errand unto thee, O king. And he said, Keep silence. And all that stood by him went out from him.
| و ایهود نزد وی داخل شد و او بتنهایی در بالاخانه تابستانی خود می‌نشست. ایهود گفت: «کلامی از خدا برای تو دارم.» پس از کرسی خودبرخاست. | ۲۰ 20 |
And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting by himself alone in the cool upper room. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat.
| و ایهود دست چپ خود را دراز کرده، خنجر را از ران راست خویش کشید و آن را در شکمش فرو برد. | ۲۱ 21 |
And Ehud put forth his left hand, and took the sword from his right thigh, and thrust it into his body:
| و دسته آن با تیغه‌اش نیز فرو رفت و پیه، تیغه را پوشانید زیرا که خنجررا از شکمش بیرون نکشید و به فضلات رسید. | ۲۲ 22 |
and the haft also went in after the blade; and the fat closed upon the blade, for he drew not the sword out of his body; and it came out behind.
| و ایهود به دهلیز بیرون رفته، درهای بالاخانه رابر وی بسته، قفل کرد. | ۲۳ 23 |
Then Ehud went forth into the porch, and shut the doors of the upper room upon him, and locked them.
| و چون او رفته بود، نوکرانش آمده، دیدندکه اینک درهای بالاخانه قفل است. گفتند، یقین پایهای خود را در غرفه تابستانی می‌پوشاند. | ۲۴ 24 |
Now when he was gone out, his servants came; and they saw, and, behold, the doors of the upper room were locked; and they said, Surely he is covering his feet in the upper chamber.
| وانتظار کشیدند تا خجل شدند، و چون او درهای بالاخانه را نگشود پس کلید را گرفته، آن را بازکردند، و اینک آقای ایشان بر زمین مرده افتاده بود. | ۲۵ 25 |
And they tarried till they were ashamed; and, behold, he opened not the doors of the upper room: therefore they took the key, and opened [them]; and, behold, their lord was fallen down dead on the earth.
| و چون ایشان معطل می‌شدند، ایهود به دررفت و از معدنهای سنگ گذشته، به سعیرت به سلامت رسید. | ۲۶ 26 |
And Ehud escaped while they tarried, and passed beyond the quarries, and escaped unto Seirah.
| و چون داخل آنجا شد کرنا رادر کوهستان افرایم نواخت و بنی‌اسرائیل همراهش از کوه به زیر آمدند، و او پیش روی ایشان بود. | ۲۷ 27 |
And it came to pass, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the hill-country of Ephraim; and the children of Israel went down with him from the hill-country, and he before them.
| و به ایشان گفت: «از عقب من بیاییدزیرا خداوند، موآبیان، دشمنان شما را به‌دست شما تسلیم کرده است.» پس از عقب او فرودشده، معبرهای اردن را پیش روی موآبیان گرفتند، و نگذاشتند که احدی عبور کند. | ۲۸ 28 |
And he said unto them, Follow after me; for Jehovah hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords of the Jordan against the Moabites, and suffered not a man to pass over.
| و درآن وقت به قدر ده هزار نفر از موآبیان را، یعنی هرزورآور و مرد جنگی را کشتند و کسی رهایی نیافت. | ۲۹ 29 |
And they smote of Moab at that time about ten thousand men, every lusty man, and every man of valor; and there escaped not a man.
| و در آن روز موآبیان زیر دست اسرائیل ذلیل شدند، و زمین هشتاد سال آرامی یافت. | ۳۰ 30 |
So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. And the land had rest fourscore years.
| و بعد از او شمجر بن عنات بود که ششصدنفر از فلسطینیان را با چوب گاورانی کشت، و اونیز اسرائیل را نجات داد. | ۳۱ 31 |
And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, who smote of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox-goad: and he also saved Israel.
