یوشع 6

۱ 1 (و اریحا به‌سبب بنی‌اسرائیل سخت بسته شد، به طوری که کسی به آن رفت و آمدنمی کرد. )

Now Iericho was shut vp, and closed, because of the children of Israel: none might go out nor enter in.

۲ 2 و یهوه به یوشع گفت: «ببین اریحا وملکش و مردان جنگی را به‌دست تو تسلیم کردم.

And the Lord saide vnto Ioshua, Behold, I haue giuen into thine hand Iericho and the King thereof, and the strong men of warre.

۳ 3 پس شما یعنی همه مردان جنگی شهر را طواف کنید، و یک مرتبه دور شهر بگردید، و شش روزچنین کن.

All ye therefore that be men of warre, shall compasse the citie, in going round about the citie once: thus shall you doe sixe dayes:

۴ 4 و هفت کاهن پیش تابوت، هفت کرنای یوبیل بردارند، و در روز هفتم شهر را هفت مرتبه طواف کنید، و کاهنان کرناها را بنوازند.

And seuen Priests shall beare seuen trumpets of rams hornes before the Arke: and the seuenth day ye shall compasse the citie seuen times, and the Priests shall blow with the trumpets.

۵ 5 و چون بوق یوبیل کشیده شود و شما آواز کرنا رابشنوید، تمامی قوم به آواز بلند صدا کنند، وحصار شهر به زمین خواهد افتاد، و هر کس از قوم پیش روی خود برآید.»

And when they make a long blast with the rams horne, and ye heare the sound of the trumpet, al the people shall shoute with a great shoute: then shall the wall of the citie fall downe flat, and the people shall ascend vp, euery man streight before him.

۶ 6 پس یوشع بن نون کاهنان را خوانده، به ایشان گفت: «تابوت عهد رابردارید و هفت کاهن هفت کرنای یوبیل را پیش تابوت خداوند بردارند.»

Then, Ioshua the sonne of Nun called the Priests and said vnto them, Take vp the Arke of the couenant, and let seuen Priests beare seuen trumpets of rams hornes before the Arke of the Lord.

۷ 7 و به قوم گفتند: «پیش بروید و شهر را طواف کنید، و مردان مسلح پیش تابوت خداوند بروند.»

But he said vnto the people, Goe and compasse the citie: and let him that is armed, go forth before the Arke of the Lord.

۸ 8 و چون یوشع این را به قوم گفت، هفت کاهن هفت کرنای یوبیل را برداشته، پیش خداوندرفتند و کرناها را نواختند و تابوت عهد خداونداز عقب ایشان روانه شد.

And when Ioshua had spoken vnto the people, the seuen Priestes bare the seuen trumpets of rams hornes, and went foorth before the Arke of the Lord, and blew with the trumpets, and the Arke of the couenant of ye Lord followed them.

۹ 9 و مردان مسلح پیش کاهنانی که کرناها را می‌نواختند رفتند، و ساقه لشکر از عقب تابوت روانه شدند و چون می‌رفتند، کاهنان کرناها را می‌نواختند.

And the men of armes went before the Priestes, that blewe the trumpets: then the gathering hoste came after the Arke, as they went and blewe the trumpets.

۱۰ 10 ویوشع قوم را امر فرموده، گفت: «صدا نزنید و آوازشما شنیده نشود، بلکه سخنی از دهان شما بیرون نیاید تا روزی که به شما بگویم که صدا کنید. آن وقت صدا زنید.»

(Nowe Ioshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall nor shout, neither make any noyse with your voyce, neither shall a worde proceede out of your mouth, vntill the day that I say vnto you, Shout, then shall ye shoute)

۱۱ 11 پس تابوت خداوند را به شهرطواف داد و یک مرتبه دور شهر گردش کرد. وایشان به لشکرگاه برگشتند و شب را در لشکرگاه به‌سر بردند.

So the Arke of the Lord compassed the citie, and went about it once: then they returned into the hoaste, and lodged in the campe.

۱۲ 12 بامدادان یوشع به زودی برخاست و کاهنان تابوت خداوند را برداشتند.

And Ioshua rose early in the morning, and the Priestes bare the Arke of the Lord:

۱۳ 13 و هفت کاهن هفت کرنای یوبیل را برداشته، پیش تابوت خداوندمی رفتند، و کرناها را می‌نواختند، و مردان مسلح پیش ایشان می‌رفتند، و ساقه لشکر از عقب تابوت خداوند رفتند، و چون می‌رفتند (کاهنان )کرناها را می‌نواختند.

Also seuen Priests bare seuen trumpets of rams hornes, and went before the Arke of the Lord, and going blewe with the trumpets: and the men of armes went before them, but the gathering hoste came after the Arke of the Lord, as they went and blewe the trumpets.

۱۴ 14 پس روز دوم، شهر رایک مرتبه طواف کرده، به لشکرگاه برگشتند، وشش روز چنین کردند.

And the second day they compassed the citie once, and returned into the host: thus they did sixe dayes.

۱۵ 15 و در روز هفتم، وقت طلوع فجر، به زودی برخاسته، شهر را به همین طور هفت مرتبه طواف کردند، جز اینکه در آن روز شهر را هفت مرتبه طواف کردند.

And when the seuenth day came, they rose early, euen with the dawning of the day, and compassed the citie after ye same maner seuen times: only that day they compassed the citie seuen times.

۱۶ 16 و چنین شد در مرتبه هفتم، چون کاهنان کرناها را نواختند که یوشع به قوم گفت: «صدا زنید زیرا خداوند شهر را به شما داده است.

And when the Priests had blowen ye trumpets the seuenth time, Ioshua said vnto ye people, Shoute: for the Lord hath giuen you the citie.

۱۷ 17 و خود شهر و هر‌چه در آن است برای خداوند حرام خواهد شد، و راحاب فاحشه فقط، با هر‌چه با وی در خانه باشد زنده خواهد ماند، زیرارسولانی را که فرستادیم پنهان کرد.

And the citie shalbe an execrable thing, both it, and all that are therein, vnto the Lord: onely Rahab the harlot shall liue, shee, and all that are with her in the house: for shee hid the messengers that we sent.

۱۸ 18 و اما شمازنهار خویشتن را از چیز حرام نگاه دارید، مبادابعد از آنکه آن را حرام کرده باشید، از آن چیزحرام بگیرید و لشکرگاه اسرائیل را حرام کرده، آن را مضطرب سازید.

Notwithstanding, be ye ware of the execrable thing, lest ye make your selues execrable, and in taking of the execrable thing, make also the hoste of Israel execrable, and trouble it.

۱۹ 19 و تمامی نقره و طلا وظروف مسین و آهنین، وقف خداوند می‌باشد و به خزانه خداوند گذارده شود.»

But all siluer, and gold, and vessels of brasse, and yron shalbe consecrate vnto the Lord, and shall come into the Lordes treasury.

۲۰ 20 آنگاه قوم صدازدند و کرناها را نواختند. و چون قوم آواز کرنا راشنیدند و قوم به آواز بلند صدا زدند، حصار شهربه زمین افتاد. و قوم یعنی هر کس پیش روی خودبه شهر برآمد و شهر را گرفتند.

So the people shouted, whe they had blowen trumpets: for when the people had heard the sound of the trumpet, they shouted with a great shoute: and the wall fel downe flat: so the people went vp into the citie, euery man streight before him: and they tooke the citie.

۲۱ 21 و هر‌آنچه درشهر بود از مرد و زن و جوان و پیر و حتی گاو وگوسفند و الاغ را به دم شمشیر هلاک کردند.

And they vtterly destroyed all that was in the citie, both man and woman, yong, and olde, and oxe, and sheepe, and asse, with the edge of the sword.

۲۲ 22 و یوشع به آن دو مرد که به‌جاسوسی زمین رفته بودند، گفت: «به خانه زن فاحشه بروید، و زن را با هر‌چه دارد از آنجا بیرون آرید چنانکه برای وی قسم خوردید.»

But Ioshua had said vnto the two men that had spied out the countrey, Go into the harlots house, and bring out thence the woman, and all that she hath, as ye sware to her.

۲۳ 23 پس آن دو جوان جاسوس داخل شده، راحاب و پدرش و مادرش و برادرانش را با هر‌چه داشت بیرون آوردند، بلکه تمام خویشانش را آورده، ایشان را بیرون لشکرگاه اسرائیل جا دادند.

So the yong men that were spies, went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that shee had: also they brought out all her familie, and put them without the host of Israel.

۲۴ 24 و شهر را با آنچه در آن بود، به آتش سوزانیدند. لیکن نقره و طلا وظروف مسین و آهنین را به خزانه خانه خداوندگذاردند.

After they burnt the citie with fire, and all that was therein: onely the siluer and the gold, and the vessels of brasse and yron, they put vnto the treasure of the house of the Lord.

۲۵ 25 و یوشع، راحاب فاحشه و خاندان پدرش را با هر‌چه از آن او بود زنده نگاه داشت، واو تا امروز در میان اسرائیل ساکن است، زیرارسولان را که یوشع برای جاسوسی اریحافرستاده بود پنهان کرد.

So Ioshua saued Rahab the harlot, and her fathers houshold, and all that shee had; and shee dwelt in Israel euen vnto this day, because shee had hid the messengers, which Ioshua sent to spie out Iericho.

۲۶ 26 و در آنوقت یوشع ایشان را قسم داده، گفت: «ملعون باد به حضور خداوند کسی‌که برخاسته، این شهر اریحا را بنا کند، به نخست زاده خود بنیادش خواهد نهاد، و به پسر کوچک خوددروازه هایش را برپا خواهد نمود.»

And Ioshua sware at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before ye Lord, that riseth vp, and buildeth this citie Iericho: hee shall lay the foundation thereof in his eldest sonne, and in his yongest sonne shall hee set vp the gates of it.

۲۷ 27 و خداوند با یوشع می‌بود و اسم اودرتمامی آن زمین شهرت یافت.

So the Lord was with Ioshua, and he was famous through all the world.
