یوشع 23
| و واقع شد بعد از روزهای بسیار چون خداوند اسرائیل را از جمیع دشمنان ایشان از هر طرف آرامی داده بود، و یوشع پیر وسالخورده شده بود. | ۱ 1 |
Yahweh enabled the Israelis to live peacefully [for many years] with the people-groups that were around them.
| که یوشع جمیع اسرائیل رابا مشایخ و روسا و داوران و ناظران ایشان طلبیده، به ایشان گفت: «من پیر و سالخورده شده‌ام. | ۲ 2 |
Joshua was now very old. [One day] he summoned the leaders of the tribes of Israel, the leaders of the clans, the judges, and [other] officials. He said to them, “I am now very old.
| وشما هرآنچه یهوه، خدای شما به همه این طوایف به‌خاطر شما کرده است، دیده‌اید، زیرایهوه، خدای شما اوست که برای شما جنگ کرده است. | ۳ 3 |
You people have seen what Yahweh our God has done to help you defeat the people-groups [that lived in this land]. Yahweh our God has fought for you.
| اینک این طوایف را که باقی‌مانده‌اند ازاردن و جمیع طوایف را که مغلوب ساخته‌ام تادریای بزرگ، به سمت مغرب آفتاب برای شما به قرعه تقسیم کرده‌ام تا میراث اسباط شما باشند. | ۴ 4 |
But do not forget that he has given to you all this land, from the Jordan [River in the east] to the Mediterranean Sea in the west, all this land that I have allotted to you.
| و یهوه، خدای شما اوست که ایشان را از حضورشما رانده، ایشان را از پیش روی شما بیرون می‌کند، و شما زمین ایشان را در تصرف خواهیدآورد، چنانکه یهوه خدای شما به شما گفته است. | ۵ 5 |
Yahweh our God will compel the people who are still living there to leave. He will push them out as you advance. Then the land will be yours, as Yahweh has promised you.
| پس بسیار قوی باشید و متوجه شده، هر‌چه درسفر تورات موسی مکتوب است نگاه دارید و به طرف چپ یا راست از آن تجاوز منمایید. | ۶ 6 |
“Be sure that you obey all the laws that are in the book that Moses wrote. Do not disobey any part of it [IDM].
| تا به این طوایفی که در میان شما باقی‌مانده‌اند داخل نشوید، و نامهای خدایان ایشان را ذکر ننمایید، وقسم نخورید و آنها را عبادت منمایید و سجده نکنید. | ۷ 7 |
Do not associate with the people who live among us [who are not Israelis and who worship other gods]. Do not mention the names of their gods, and do not use the names of their gods when you promise to do something. Do not serve their gods or worship them.
| بلکه به یهوه، خدای خود بچسبیدچنانکه تا امروز کرده‌اید. | ۸ 8 |
You must continue to do what Yahweh our God wants us to do, as you have been doing.
| زیرا خداوند طوایف بزرگ و زورآور را از پیش روی شما بیرون کرده است، و اما با شما کسی را تا امروز یارای مقاومت نبوده است. | ۹ 9 |
“Yahweh has forced [many] very powerful people-groups to leave as you advanced. No people-group has been able to defeat you.
| یک نفر از شما هزار را تعاقب خواهد نمود زیرا که یهوه، خدای شما، اوست که برای شما جنگ می‌کند، چنانکه به شما گفته است. | ۱۰ 10 |
Each of you will be able to cause 1,000 of them to run away, because Yahweh your God will fight for you, just like he promised to do.
| پس بسیار متوجه شده، یهوه خدای خود را محبت نمایید. | ۱۱ 11 |
So be sure that you continue to love Yahweh our God.
| و اما اگر برگشته، با بقیه این طوایفی که در میان شما مانده‌اند بچسبید و باایشان مصاهرت نمایید، و به ایشان درآیید وایشان به شما درآیند، | ۱۲ 12 |
“If you turn away from doing what Yahweh desires and you associate with the people who are not Israelis, and if you marry them,
| یقین بدانید که یهوه خدای شما این طوایف را از حضور شما دیگربیرون نخواهد کرد، بلکه برای شما دام و تله وبرای پهلوهای شما تازیانه و در چشمان شما خارخواهند بود، تا وقتی که از این زمین نیکو که یهوه خدای شما، به شما داده است، هلاک شوید. | ۱۳ 13 |
then you can be sure that Yahweh our God will not help you to expel those people-groups from your land. They will be [like] traps [DOU, MET] [that will catch you]. They will be [like] whips [that strike] your backs, and like thorns [that will scratch] your eyes. As a result, none of you will be left in this good land that Yahweh our God is giving to you.
| و اینک من امروز به طریق اهل تمامی زمین می‌روم، و به تمامی دل و به تمامی جان خودمی دانید که یک چیز از تمام چیزهای نیکو که یهوه، خدای شما درباره شما گفته است به زمین نیفتاده، بلکه همه‌اش واقع شده است، و یک حرف از آن به زمین نیفتاده. | ۱۴ 14 |
“It is almost time for me to die, like everyone does [EUP]. You know in your hearts [DOU] that Yahweh has done for you [LIT] everything that he promised to do.
| و چنین واقع خواهد شد که چنانکه همه‌چیزهای نیکو که یهوه، خدای شما به شما گفته بود برای شما واقع شده است، همچنان خداوند همه‌چیزهای بد رابر شما عارض خواهد گردانید، تا شما را از این زمین نیکو که یهوه، خدای شما به شما داده است، هلاک سازد. | ۱۵ 15 |
He has given to you all the good things that he promised. In the same way, the other things that he promised, [things that are not good], will also happen. He said that if you do what is evil, he will get rid of you and send you away from this good land that he has given to you.
| اگر از عهد یهوه، خدای خود، که به شما امر فرموده است، تجاوز نمایید، و رفته، خدایان دیگر را عبادت نمایید، و آنها را سجده کنید، آنگاه غضب خداوند بر شما افروخته خواهد شد، و از این زمین نیکو که به شما داده است به زودی هلاک خواهید شد. | ۱۶ 16 |
That will happen if you do not obey the commands that Yahweh our God told you to obey. If you serve other gods and worship them, Yahweh will become very angry with you. Very quickly [he will expel you from] this good land that he has given to you, [and] none of you will be left here.”
