ایّوب 18
| پس بلدد شوحی در جواب گفت: | ۱ 1 |
Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
| «تابه کی برای سخنان، دامها می‌گسترانید؟ تفکر کنید و بعد از آن تکلم خواهیم نمود. | ۲ 2 |
How long [will it be ere] ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.
| چرا مثل بهایم شمرده شویم؟ و در نظر شما نجس نماییم؟ | ۳ 3 |
Wherefore are we counted as beasts, [and] reputed vile in your sight?
| ای که در غضب خود خویشتن را پاره می‌کنی، آیا به‌خاطر تو زمین متروک شود، یاصخره از جای خود منتقل گردد؟ | ۴ 4 |
He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?
| البته روشنایی شریران خاموش خواهد شد، و شعله آتش ایشان نور نخواهد داد. | ۵ 5 |
Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
| در خیمه اوروشنایی به تاریکی مبدل می‌گردد، و چراغش براو خاموش خواهد شد. | ۶ 6 |
The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.
| قدمهای قوتش تنگ می‌شود. و مشورت خودش او را به زیر خواهدافکند. | ۷ 7 |
The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
| زیرا به پایهای خود در دام خواهد افتاد، و به روی تله‌ها راه خواهد رفت. | ۸ 8 |
For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.
| تله پاشنه او راخواهد گرفت. و دام، او را به زور نگاه خواهدداشت. | ۹ 9 |
The gin shall take [him] by the heel, [and] the robber shall prevail against him.
| دام برایش در زمین پنهان شده است، وتله برایش در راه. | ۱۰ 10 |
The snare [is] laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.
| ترسها از هر طرف او راهراسان می‌کند، و به او چسبیده، وی رامی گریزاند. | ۱۱ 11 |
Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.
| شقاوت، برای او گرسنه است، وذلت، برای لغزیدن او حاضر است. | ۱۲ 12 |
His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction [shall be] ready at his side.
| اعضای جسد او را می‌خورد. نخست زاده موت، جسد اورا می‌خورد. | ۱۳ 13 |
It shall devour the strength of his skin: [even] the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.
| آنچه بر آن اعتماد می‌داشت، ازخیمه او ربوده می‌شود، و خود او نزد پادشاه ترسها رانده می‌گردد. | ۱۴ 14 |
His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.
| کسانی که از وی نباشنددر خیمه او ساکن می‌گردند، و گوگرد بر مسکن اوپاشیده می‌شود. | ۱۵ 15 |
It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because [it is] none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
| ریشه هایش از زیرمی خشکد، و شاخه‌اش از بالا بریده خواهد شد. | ۱۶ 16 |
His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.
| یادگار او از زمین نابود می‌گردد، و در کوچه هااسم نخواهد داشت. | ۱۷ 17 |
His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.
| از روشنایی به تاریکی رانده می‌شود. و او را از ربع مسکون خواهندگریزانید. | ۱۸ 18 |
He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
| او را در میان قومش نه اولاد و نه ذریت خواهد بود، و در ماوای او کسی باقی نخواهد ماند. | ۱۹ 19 |
He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.
| متاخرین از روزگارش متحیر خواهند شد، چنانکه بر متقدمین، ترس مستولی شده بود. | ۲۰ 20 |
They that come after [him] shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.
| به درستی که مسکن های شریران چنین می‌باشد، و مکان کسی‌که خدا رانمی شناسد مثل این است.» | ۲۱ 21 |
Surely such [are] the dwellings of the wicked, and this [is] the place [of him that] knoweth not God.
