ارمیا 42

۱ 1 پس تمامی سرداران لشکر و یوحانان بن قاریح و یزنیا ابن هوشعیا و تمامی خلق از خرد و بزرگ پیش آمدند،

And alle the princes of werriours neiyiden, and Johannan, the sone of Caree, and Jeconye, the sone of Josie, and the residue comyn puple, fro a litil man `til to a greet man.

۲ 2 و به ارمیا نبی گفتند: «تمنا اینکه التماس ما نزد تو پذیرفته شودو به جهت ما و به جهت تمامی این بقیه نزد یهوه خدای خود مسالت نمایی زیرا که ما قلیلی ازکثیر باقی‌مانده‌ایم چنانکه چشمانت ما را می‌بیند.

And thei seiden to Jeremye, the profete, Oure preier falle in thi siyt, and preie thou for vs to thi Lord God, for alle these remenauntis; for we ben left a fewe of manye, as thin iyen biholden vs; and thi Lord God telle to vs the weie,

۳ 3 تا یهوه خدایت ما را به راهی که باید برویم و به‌کاری که باید بکنیم اعلام نماید.»

bi which we schulen go, and the word which we schulen do.

۴ 4 پس ارمیای نبی به ایشان گفت: «شنیدم. اینک من برحسب آنچه به من گفته‌اید، نزد یهوه خدای شما مسالت خواهم نمود و هر‌چه خداوند در جواب شما بگوید به شما اطلاع خواهم داد و چیزی از شما باز نخواهم داشت.»

Forsothe Jeremye, the profete, seide to hem, Y haue herd; lo! Y preye to oure Lord God, bi youre wordis; Y schal schewe to you ech word, what euere word the Lord schal answere to me, nether Y schal hide ony thing fro you.

۵ 5 ایشان به ارمیا گفتند: «خداوند در میان ماشاهد راست و امین باشد که برحسب تمامی کلامی که یهوه خدایت به واسطه تو نزد ما بفرستدعمل خواهیم نمود.

And thei seiden to Jeremye, The Lord be witnesse of treuthe and of feith bitwixe vs; if not bi ech word, in which thi Lord God schal sende thee to vs, so we schulen do, whether it be good ether yuel.

۶ 6 خواه نیکو باشد و خواه بد، کلام یهوه خدای خود را که تو را نزد اومی فرستیم اطاعت خواهیم نمود تا آنکه قول یهوه خدای خود را اطاعت نموده، برای ماسعادتمندی بشود.»

We schulen obeie to the vois of oure Lord God, to whom we senden thee, that it be wel to vs, whanne we han herd the vois of oure Lord God.

۷ 7 و بعد از ده روز واقع شد که کلام خداوند برارمیا نازل شد.

Forsothe whanne ten daies weren fillid, the word of the Lord was maad to Jeremye.

۸ 8 پس یوحانان بن قاریح و همه سرداران لشکر که همراهش بودند و تمامی قوم رااز کوچک و بزرگ خطاب کرده،

And he clepide Johannan, the sone of Caree, and alle the princes of werriours, that weren with hym, and al the puple fro the leste `til to the mooste; and he seide to hem,

۹ 9 به ایشان گفت: «یهوه خدای اسرائیل که شما مرا نزد وی فرستادید تا دعای شما را به حضور او برسانم چنین می‌فرماید:

The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, to whom ye senten me, that Y schulde mekeli sette forth youre preyeris in his siyt.

۱۰ 10 اگر فی الحقیقه در این زمین بمانید آنگاه شما را بنا نموده، منهدم نخواهم ساخت و غرس کرده، نخواهم کند، زیرا از بلایی که به شما رسانیدم پشیمان شدم.

If ye resten, and dwellen in this lond, Y schal bilde you, and Y schal not distrie; Y schal plaunte, and Y schal not drawe out; for now Y am plesid on the yuel which Y dide to you.

۱۱ 11 از پادشاه بابل که از او بیم دارید ترسان مباشید. بلی خداوندمی گوید از او ترسان مباشید زیرا که من با شماهستم تا شما را نجات‌بخشم و شما را از دست او رهایی دهم.

Nyle ye drede of the face of the kyng of Babiloyne, whom ye `that ben ferdful, dreden; nyle ye drede hym, seith the Lord, for Y am with you, to make you saaf, and to delyuere fro his hond.

۱۲ 12 و من بر شما رحمت خواهم فرمود تا او بر شما لطف نماید و شما را به زمین خودتان پس بفرستد.

And Y schal yyue mercies to you, and Y schal haue merci on you, and Y schal make you dwelle in youre lond.

۱۳ 13 اما اگر گویید که در این زمین نخواهیم ماند و اگر سخن یهوه خدای خودرا گوش نگیرید،

Forsothe if ye seien, We schulen not dwelle in this lond, nether we schulen here the vois of oure Lord God, and seie,

۱۴ 14 و بگویید نی بلکه به زمین مصر خواهیم رفت زیرا که در آنجا جنگ نخواهیم دید و آواز کرنا نخواهیم شنید و برای نان گرسنه نخواهیم شد و در آنجا ساکن خواهیم شد،

Nai, but we schulen go to the lond of Egipt, where we schulen not se batel, and schulen not here the noise of trumpe, and we schulen not suffre hungur, and there we schulen dwelle;

۱۵ 15 پس حال بنابراین‌ای بقیه یهودا کلام خداوند را بشنوید: یهوه صبایوت خدای اسرائیل چنین می‌گوید: اگر به رفتن به مصر جازم می‌باشید و اگر در آنجا رفته، ساکن شوید،

for this thing, ye remenauntis of Juda, here now the word of the Lord. The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, If ye setten youre face, for to entre in to Egipt, and if ye entren,

۱۶ 16 آنگاه شمشیری که از آن می‌ترسید البته آنجادر مصر به شما خواهد رسید و قحطی که از آن هراسان هستید آنجا در مصر شما را خواهددریافت و در آنجا خواهید مرد.

to dwelle there, the swerd whiche ye dreden schal take you there in the lond of Egipt, and the hungur for which ye ben angwischid schal cleue to you in Egipt; and there ye schulen die.

۱۷ 17 و جمیع کسانی که برای رفتن به مصر و سکونت در آنجاجازم شده‌اند، از شمشیر و قحط و وبا خواهندمرد و احدی از ایشان از آن بلایی که من بر ایشان می‌رسانم باقی نخواهد ماند و خلاصی نخواهدیافت.

And alle the men that settiden her face, to entre in to Egipt, and to dwelle there, schulen die bi swerd, and hungur, and pestilence; no man of hem schal dwelle stille, nether schal aschape fro the face of yuel, which Y schal brynge on hem.

۱۸ 18 زیرا که یهوه صبایوت خدای اسرائیل چنین می‌گوید: چنانکه خشم و غضب من برساکنان اورشلیم ریخته شد، همچنان غضب من به مجرد ورود شما به مصر بر شما ریخته خواهدشد و شما مورد نفرین و دهشت و لعنت و عارخواهید شد و این مکان را دیگر نخواهید دید.»

For why the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, As my strong veniaunce and myn indignacioun is wellid togidere on the dwelleris of Jerusalem, so myn indignacioun schal be wellid togidere on you, whanne ye han entrid in to Egipt; and ye schulen be in to sweryng, and in to wondring, and in to cursyng, and in to schenschipe; and ye schulen no more se this place.

۱۹ 19 ‌ای بقیه یهودا خداوند به شما می‌گوید به مصرمروید، یقین بدانید که من امروز شما را تهدیدنمودم.

The word of the Lord is on you, ye remenauntis of Juda; nyle ye entre in to Egipt; ye witinge schulen wite, that Y haue witnessid to you to dai;

۲۰ 20 زیرا خویشتن را فریب دادید چونکه مرا نزد یهوه خدای خود فرستاده، گفتید که برای ما نزد یهوه خدای ما مسالت نما و ما را موافق هرآنچه یهوه خدای ما بگوید، مخبر ساز و آن را بعمل خواهیم آورد.

for ye han disseyued youre soulis, for ye senten me to youre Lord God, and seiden, Preye thou for vs to oure Lord God, and bi alle thingis what euer thingis oure Lord schal seie to thee, so telle thou to vs, and we schulen do.

۲۱ 21 پس امروز شما را مخبرساختم اما شما نه به قول یهوه خدای خود و نه بهیچ‌چیزی که به واسطه من نزد شما فرستادگوش گرفتید.

And Y telde to you to dai, and ye herden not the vois of youre Lord God, on alle thingis for whiche he sente me to you.

۲۲ 22 پس الان یقین بدانید که شما درمکانی که می‌خواهید بروید و در آن ساکن شویداز شمشیر و قحط و وبا خواهید مرد.»

Now therfor ye witynge schulen wite, for ye schulen die bi swerd, and hungur, and pestilence, in the place to which ye wolden entre, to dwelle there.
