عبرانیان 2

۱ 1 لهذا لازم است که به دقت بلیغ تر آنچه راشنیدیم گوش دهیم، مبادا که از آن ربوده شویم.

Therefore we ought to pay greater attention to the things that were heard, so that we will not drift away.

۲ 2 زیرا هر گاه کلامی که بوساطت فرشتگان گفته شد برقرار گردید، بقسمی که هر تجاوز وتغافلی را جزای عادل می‌رسید،

For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense;

۳ 3 پس ما چگونه رستگار گردیم اگر از چنین نجاتی عظیم غافل باشیم؟ که در ابتدا تکلم به آن از خداوند بود و بعدکسانی که شنیدند، بر ما ثابت گردانیدند؛

how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation—which at the first having been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard;

۴ 4 درحالتی که خدا نیز با ایشان شهادت می‌داد به آیات و معجزات و انواع قوات و عطایای روح‌القدس برحسب اراده خود.

God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders, by various works of power, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will?

۵ 5 زیرا عالم آینده‌ای را که ذکر آن را می‌کنیم مطیع فرشتگان نساخت.

For he did not subject the world to come, of which we speak, to angels.

۶ 6 لکن کسی در موضعی شهادت داده، گفت: «چیست انسان که او را بخاطرآوری یا پسر انسان که از او تفقد نمایی؟

But one has somewhere testified, saying, "What is man, that you think of him? Or the son of man, that you care for him?

۷ 7 او را ازفرشتگان اندکی پست‌تر قرار دادی و تاج جلال واکرام را بر سر او نهادی و او را بر اعمال دستهای خود گماشتی.

You made him a little lower than the angels. You crowned him with glory and honor.

۸ 8 همه‌چیز را زیر پایهای اونهادی.» پس چون همه‌چیز را مطیع او گردانید، هیچ‌چیز را نگذاشت که مطیع او نباشد. لکن الان هنوز نمی بینیم که همه‌چیز مطیع وی شده باشد.

You have put all things in subjection under his feet." For in that he put all things under him, he left nothing that is not under him. But now we do not yet see that all things are under him.

۹ 9 اما او را که اندکی از فرشتگان کمتر شد می‌بینیم، یعنی عیسی را که به زحمت موت تاج جلال واکرام بر سر وی نهاده شد تا به فیض خدا برای همه ذائقه موت را بچشد.

But we see him who has been made a little lower than the angels, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God he should taste of death for everyone.

۱۰ 10 زیرا او را که بخاطروی همه و از وی همه‌چیز می‌باشد، چون فرزندان بسیار را وارد جلال می‌گرداند، شایسته بود که رئیس نجات ایشان را به دردها کامل گرداند.

For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

۱۱ 11 زانرو که چون مقدس کننده و مقدسان همه از یک می‌باشند، از این جهت عار ندارد که ایشان را برادر بخواند.

For both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers,

۱۲ 12 چنانکه می‌گوید: «اسم تو را به برادران خود اعلام می‌کنم و در میان کلیساتو را تسبیح خواهم خواند.»

saying, "I will declare your name to my brothers. In the midst of the assembly I will praise you."

۱۳ 13 و ایض: «من بروی توکل خواهم نمود.» و نیز: «اینک من وفرزندانی که خدا به من عطا فرمود.»

And again, "I will put my trust in him." And again, "Look, I and the children whom God has given me."

۱۴ 14 پس چون فرزندان در خون و جسم شراکت دارند، او نیز همچنان در این هر دو شریک شد تابوساطت موت، صاحب قدرت موت یعنی ابلیس را تباه سازد،

Since then the children have shared in flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner partook of the same, that through death he might bring to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,

۱۵ 15 و آنانی را که از ترس موت، تمام عمر خود را گرفتار بندگی می‌بودند، آزاد گرداند.

and might deliver all of them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

۱۶ 16 زیرا که در حقیقت فرشتگان را دستگیری نمی نماید بلکه نسل ابراهیم را دستگیری می‌نماید.

For, truly, he did not come to help the angels, but to help the offspring of Abraham.

۱۷ 17 از این جهت می‌بایست در هر امری مشابه برادران خود شود تا در امور خدا رئیس کهنه‌ای کریم و امین شده، کفاره گناهان قوم رابکند.

Therefore he was obligated in all things to be made like his brothers, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.

۱۸ 18 زیرا که چون خود عذاب کشیده، تجربه دید استطاعت دارد که تجربه شدگان را اعانت فرماید.

For in that he himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.
