حزقیال 35

۱ 1 و کلام خداوند بر من نازل شده، گفت:

And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

۲ 2 «ای پسر انسان نظر خود را بر کوه سعیر بدار و به ضد آن نبوت نما!

Son of man, set thy face against the mountain of Se'ir, and prophecy against it,

۳ 3 و آن را بگوخداوند یهوه چنین می‌فرماید: اینک‌ای کوه سعیر من به ضد تو هستم. و دست خود را بر تودراز کرده، تو را ویران و محل دهشت خواهم ساخت.

And say unto it, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will be against thee, O mountain of Se'ir, and I will stretch out my hand over thee, and I will render thee desolate and wasted.

۴ 4 شهرهایت را خراب خواهم نمود تاویران شده، بدانی که من یهوه هستم.

Thy cities will I lay in ruins, and thou thyself shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.

۵ 5 چونکه عداوت دائمی داشتی و بنی‌اسرائیل را در زمان مصیبت ایشان و هنگام عقوبت آخر به دم شمشیرتسلیم نمودی،

Because thou hast had an undying hatred, and didst surrender the children of Israel to the power of the sword, at the time of their calamity, at the time of the iniquity of the end:

۶ 6 لهذا خداوند یهوه چنین می گوید: به حیات خودم قسم که تو را به خون تسلیم خواهم نمود که خون تو را تعاقب نماید. چون از خون نفرت نداشتی، خون تو را تعاقب خواهد نمود.

Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord Eternal, I will surely let thy blood flow, and blood shall pursue thee; since thou didst not hate blood-shedding, so shall blood pursue thee.

۷ 7 و کوه سعیر را محل دهشت وویران ساخته، روندگان و آیندگان را از آن منقطع خواهم ساخت.

Thus will I change the mountain of Se'ir into a desolate land and a waste, and I will cut off from it him that travelleth forward and backward.

۸ 8 و کوههایش را از کشتگانش مملو می‌کنم که مقتولان شمشیر بر تلها و دره‌ها وهمه وادیهای تو بیفتند.

And I will fill his mountains with his slain: as regardeth thy hills, and thy valleys, and all thy ravines, in them shall fall those that are slain by the sword.

۹ 9 و تو را خرابه های دائمی می‌سازم که شهرهایت دیگر مسکون نشودو بدانید که من یهوه هستم.

Into perpetual desolations will I change thee, and thy cities shall not be restored: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

۱۰ 10 چونکه گفتی این دوامت و این دو زمین از آن من می‌شود و آن را به تصرف خواهیم آورد با آنکه یهوه در آنجا است.»

Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall indeed be mine, and we will take possession thereof; whereas the Lord was there:

۱۱ 11 بنابراین خداوند یهوه چنین می‌گوید: «به حیات خودم قسم که موافق خشم و حسدی که به ایشان نمودی، از کینه‌ای که با ایشان داشتی با توعمل خواهم نمود. و چون بر تو داوری کرده باشم، خویشتن را بر تو در میان ایشان معروف خواهم گردانید.

Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord God, I will even do according to thy anger, and according to thy envy which thou didst use out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I judge thee.

۱۲ 12 و خواهی دانست که من یهوه تمامی سخنان کفرآمیز را که به ضد کوههای اسرائیل گفته‌ای، شنیده‌ام. چونکه گفتی: خراب گردید و برای خوراک ما داده شد.

And thou shalt know that I am the Lord: I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given unto us to consume them.

۱۳ 13 و شما به دهان خود به ضد من تکبر نموده، سخنان خویش را بر من افزودید و من آنها را شنیدم.

And ye boasted greatly against me with your mouth, and have multiplied against me your words: I have indeed heard them.

۱۴ 14 خداوندیهوه چنین می‌گوید: حینی که تمامی جهان شادی کنند من تو را ویران خواهم ساخت.

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.

۱۵ 15 وچنانکه بر میراث خاندان اسرائیل حینی که ویران شد شادی نمودی، همچنان با تو عمل خواهم نمود. و تو‌ای کوه سعیر و تمام ادوم جمیع ویران خواهید شد. پس خواهند دانست که من یهوه هستم.»

As thou didst rejoice over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was made desolate: so will I do unto thee; desolate shalt thou be, O mountain of Se'ir, and all Idumea—altogether; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
