دانیال 12

۱ 1 «و در آن زمان میکائیل، امیر عظیمی که برای پسران قوم تو ایستاده است خواهد برخاست و چنان زمان تنگی خواهد شدکه از حینی که امتی به وجود آمده است تا امروزنبوده و در آنزمان هر یک از قوم تو که در دفترمکتوب یافت شود رستگار خواهد شد.

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

۲ 2 وبسیاری از آنانی که در خاک زمین خوابیده اندبیدار خواهند شد، اما اینان به جهت حیات جاودانی و آنان به جهت خجالت و حقارت جاودانی.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

۳ 3 و حکیمان مثل روشنایی افلاک خواهند درخشید و آنانی که بسیاری را به راه عدالت رهبری می‌نمایند مانند ستارگان خواهندبود تا ابدالاباد.

And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

۴ 4 اما تو‌ای دانیال کلام را مخفی دار و کتاب را تا زمان آخر مهر کن. بسیاری بسرعت تردد خواهند نمود و علم افزوده خواهدگردید.»

But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

۵ 5 پس من دانیال نظر کردم و اینک دو نفر دیگریکی به اینطرف و دیگری به آنطرف نهر ایستاده بودند.

Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.

۶ 6 و یکی از ایشان به آن مرد ملبس به کتان که بالای آبهای نهر ایستاده بود گفت: «انتهای این عجایب تا بکی خواهد بود؟»

And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

۷ 7 و آن مرد ملبس به کتان را که بالای آبهای نهر ایستاده بود شنیدم که دست راست و دست چپ خود را بسوی آسمان برافراشته، به حی ابدی قسم خورد که برای زمانی و دو زمان و نصف زمان خواهد بود و چون پراکندگی قوت قوم مقدس به انجام رسد، آنگاه همه این امور به اتمام خواهد رسید.

And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

۸ 8 و من شنیدم اما درک نکردم پس گفتم: «ای آقایم آخر این امور چه خواهد بود؟»

And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

۹ 9 او جواب داد که «ای دانیال برو زیرا این کلام تا زمان آخرمخفی و مختوم شده است.

And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

۱۰ 10 بسیاری طاهر وسفید و مصفی خواهند گردید و شریران شرارت خواهند ورزید و هیچ کدام از شریران نخواهندفهمید لیکن حکیمان خواهند فهمید.

Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

۱۱ 11 و ازهنگام موقوف شدن قربانی دایمی و نصب نمودن رجاست ویرانی، هزار و دویست و نود روزخواهد بود.

And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

۱۲ 12 خوشابه‌حال آنکه انتظار کشد و به هزار و سیصد و سی و پنج روز برسد.

Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

۱۳ 13 اما تو تابه آخرت برو زیرا که مستریح خواهی شد و درآخر این ایام در نصیب خود قایم خواهی بود.»

But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
