دوم سموئیل 8

۱ 1 و بعد از این واقع شد که داود فلسطینیان راشکست داده، ایشان را ذلیل ساخت. وداود زمام‌ام البلاد را از دست فلسطینیان گرفت.

After this now, Dauid smote the Philistims, and subdued them, and Dauid tooke the bridle of bondage out of the hand of the Philistims.

۲ 2 و موآب را شکست داده، ایشان را به زمین خوابانیده، با ریسمانی پیمود و دو ریسمان برای کشتن پیمود، و یک ریسمان تمام برای زنده نگاه داشتن. و موآبیان بندگان داود شده، هدایا آوردند.

And hee smote Moab, and measured them with a corde, and cast them downe to the ground: he measured them with two cordes to put them to death, and with one full corde to keepe them aliue: so became the Moabites Dauids seruants, and brought giftes.

۳ 3 و داود، هددعزر بن رحوب، پادشاه صوبه راهنگامی که می‌رفت تا استیلای خود را نزد نهر بازبه‌دست آورد، شکست داد.

Dauid smote also Hadadezer the sonne of Rehob King of Zobah, as he went to recouer his border at the riuer Euphrates.

۴ 4 و داود هزار وهفتصد سوار و بیست هزار پیاده از او گرفت، وداود جمیع اسبهای ارابه هایش را پی کرد، اما ازآنها برای صد ارابه نگاه داشت.

And Dauid tooke of them a thousand and seuen hundreth horsemen, and twenty thousande footemen, and Dauid destroyed all the charets, but he reserued an hundreth charets of them.

۵ 5 و چون ارامیان دمشق به مدد هددعزر، پادشاه صوبه، آمدند، داود بیست و دو هزار نفر از ارامیان را بکشت.

Then came the Aramites of Dammesek to succour Hadadezer king of Zobah, but Dauid slewe of the Aramites two and twenty thousande men.

۶ 6 وداود در ارام دمشق قراولان گذاشت، و ارامیان، بندگان داود شده، هدایا می‌آوردند، و خداوند، داود را در هر جا که می‌رفت، نصرت می‌داد.

And Dauid put a garison in Aram of Damesek: and the Aramites became seruants to Dauid, and brought gifts. And the Lord saued Dauid wheresoeuer he went.

۷ 7 وداود سپرهای طلا را که بر خادمان هددعزر بودگرفته، آنها را به اورشلیم آورد.

And Dauid tooke the shieldes of gold that beloged to the seruants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Ierusalem.

۸ 8 و از باته وبیروتای شهرهای هددعزر داود پادشاه، برنج ازحد افزون گرفت.

And out of Betah, and Berothai (cities of Hadadezer) king Dauid brought exceeding much brasse.

۹ 9 و چون توعی، پادشاه حمات شنید که داودتمامی لشکر هددعزر را شکست داده است،

Then Toi king of Hamath heard howe Dauid had smitten all the hoste of Hadadezer,

۱۰ 10 توعی، یورام، پسر خود را نزد داود پادشاه فرستاد تا از سلامتی او بپرسد، و او را تهنیت گوید، از آن جهت که با هددعزر جنگ نموده، اورا شکست داده بود، زیرا که هددعزر با توعی مقاتله می‌نمود و یورام ظروف نقره و ظروف طلاو ظروف برنجین با خود آورد.

Therefore Toi sent Ioram his sonne vnto King Dauid, to salute him, and to reioyce with him because he had fought against Hadadezer, and beaten him (for Hadadezer had warre with Toi) who brought with him vessels of siluer, and vessels of golde, and vessels of brasse.

۱۱ 11 و داود پادشاه آنها را نیز برای خداوند وقف نمود با نقره وطلایی که از جمیع امت هایی که شکست داده بود، وقف نموده بود،

And King Dauid did dedicate them vnto the Lord with the siluer and golde that he had dedicate of all the nations, which he had subdued:

۱۲ 12 یعنی از ارام و موآب وبنی عمون و فلسطینیان و عمالقه و از غنیمت هددعزر بن رحوب پادشاه صوبه.

Of Aram, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistims, and of Amalek, and of the spoyle of Hadadezer ye sonne of Rehob King of Zobah.

۱۳ 13 و داود برای خویشتن تذکره‌ای برپا نمودهنگامی که از شکست دادن هجده هزار نفر از ارامیان در وادی ملح مراجعت نمود.

So Dauid gate a name after that hee returned, and had slayne of the Aramites in the valley of salt eighteene thousand men.

۱۴ 14 و در ادوم قراولان گذاشت، بلکه در تمامی ادوم قراولان گذاشته، جمیع ادومیان بندگان داود شدند، وخداوند، داود را هر جا که می‌رفت، نصرت می‌داد.

And he put a garison in Edom: throughout all Edom put he souldiers, and all they of Edom became Dauids seruants: and the Lord kept Dauid whithersoeuer he went.

۱۵ 15 و داود بر تمامی اسرائیل سلطنت می‌نمود، و داود بر تمامی قوم خود داوری و انصاف را اجرامی داشت.

Thus Dauid reigned ouer all Israel, and executed iudgement and iustice vnto all his people.

۱۶ 16 و یوآب بن صرویه سردار لشکر بودو یهوشافات بن اخیلود وقایع نگار.

And Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah was ouer the hoste, and Ioshaphat the sonne of Ahilud was recorder.

۱۷ 17 و صادوق بن اخیطوب و اخیملک بن ابیاتار، کاهن بودند وسرایا کاتب بود.

And Zadok the sonne of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the sonne of Abiathar were the Priestes, and Seraiah the Scribe.

۱۸ 18 و بنایاهو بن یهویاداع برکریتیان و فلیتیان بود و پسران داود کاهن بودند.

And Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada and the Cherethites and the Pelethites, and Dauids sonnes were chiefe rulers.
