دوم سموئیل 7

۱ 1 و واقع شد چون پادشاه در خانه خود نشسته، و خداوند او را از جمیع دشمنانش از هر طرف آرامی داده بود،

And it came to pass, when the king dwelt in his house, and the Lord had given him rest round about from all his enemies;

۲ 2 که پادشاه به ناتان نبی گفت: «الان مرا می‌بینی که در خانه سرو آزادساکن می‌باشم، و تابوت خدا در میان پرده‌ها ساکن است.»

That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, while the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.

۳ 3 ناتان به پادشاه گفت: «بیا و هر‌آنچه دردلت باشد معمول دار زیرا خداوند با توست.»

And Nathan said to the king, all that is in thy heart go and do; for the Lord is with thee.

۴ 4 و در آن شب واقع شد که کلام خداوند به ناتان نازل شده، گفت:

And it came to pass during that night, That the word of the Lord came unto Nathan, saying,

۵ 5 «برو و به بنده من داودبگو، خداوند چنین می‌گوید: آیا تو خانه‌ای برای سکونت من بنا می‌کنی؟

Go and say unto my servant, unto David, Thus hath said the Lord, Wilt thou indeed build me a house for my dwelling?

۶ 6 زیرا از روزی که بنی‌اسرائیل را از مصر بیرون آوردم تا امروز، درخانه‌ای ساکن نشده‌ام بلکه در خیمه و مسکن گردش کرده‌ام.

For I have not dwelt in a house since the day that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even until this day; but have been moving about in a tent and in a tabernacle.

۷ 7 و به هر جایی که با جمیع بنی‌اسرائیل گردش کردم آیا به احدی از داوران اسرائیل که برای رعایت قوم خود، اسرائیل، مامور داشتم، سخنی گفتم که چرا خانه‌ای از سروآزاد برای من بنا نکردید؟

In all the places where I moved about among all the children of Israel, did I speak a word to any one of the tribes of Israel, whom I ordained to feed my people Israel, saying, Why have ye not built for me a house of cedar?

۸ 8 و حال به بنده من، داود چنین بگو که یهوه صبایوت چنین می‌گوید: من تو را از چراگاه از عقب گوسفندان گرفتم تاپیشوای قوم من، اسرائیل، باشی.

Now therefore, thus shalt thou say unto my servant, to David, Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, I took thee from the sheep-cote, from behind the flocks, to be a ruler over my people, over Israel;

۹ 9 و هر جایی که می‌رفتی من با تو می‌بودم و جمیع دشمنانت را ازحضور تو منقطع ساختم، و برای تو اسم بزرگ مثل اسم بزرگانی که بر زمینند، پیدا کردم.

And I have been with thee whithersoever thou didst go, and I have cut off all thy enemies from thy presence, and I have made thee a great name, like the name of the great who are on the earth;

۱۰ 10 و به جهت قوم خود، اسرائیل، مکانی تعیین کردم وایشان را غرس نمودم تا در مکان خویش ساکن شده، باز متحرک نشوند، و شریران، دیگر ایشان را مثل سابق ذلیل نسازند.

And I have procured a place for my people, for Israel, and I have planted them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and be no more troubled; and that the children of wickedness shall not afflict them any more as aforetimes,

۱۱ 11 و مثل روزهایی که داوران را بر قوم خود، اسرائیل، تعیین نموده بودم و تو را از جمیع دشمنانت آرامی دادم، و خداوندتو را خبر می‌دهد که خداوند برای تو خانه‌ای بناخواهد نمود.

And [as it was] since the day that I ordained judges to be over my people Israel; and I have caused thee to rest from all thy enemies; and the Lord telleth thee that he, the Lord, will make thee a house.

۱۲ 12 زیرا روزهای تو تمام خواهدشد و با پدران خود خواهی خوابید و ذریت تو راکه از صلب تو بیرون آید، بعد از تو استوار خواهم ساخت، و سلطنت او را پایدار خواهم نمود.

When thy days will be completed, and thou wilt sleep with thy fathers: then will I set up thy seed after thee, who shall proceed out of thy body, and I will establish his kingdom.

۱۳ 13 او برای اسم من خانه‌ای بنا خواهد نمود وکرسی سلطنت او را تا به ابد پایدار خواهم ساخت.

He it is that shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

۱۴ 14 من او را پدر خواهم بود و او مرا پسرخواهد بود، و اگر او گناه ورزد، او را با عصای مردمان و به تازیانه های بنی آدم تادیب خواهم نمود.

I too will be to him as a father, and he shall indeed be to me as a son: so that when he committeth iniquity, I will chastise him with the rod of men, and with the plagues of the children of man;

۱۵ 15 ولیکن رحمت من از او دور نخواهد شد، به طوری که آن را از شاول دور کردم که او را ازحضور تو رد ساختم.

But my kindness shall not depart from him, as I caused it to depart from Saul, whom I removed from before thee.

۱۶ 16 و خانه و سلطنت تو، به حضورت تا به ابد پایدار خواهد شد، و کرسی توتا به ابد استوار خواهد ماند.»

And thy house and thy kingdom shall be steadfast for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.

۱۷ 17 بر‌حسب تمامی این کلمات و مطابق تمامی این‌رویا ناتان به داودتکلم نمود.

In accordance with all these words, and in accordance with all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

۱۸ 18 و داود پادشاه داخل شده، به حضورخداوند نشست و گفت: «ای خداوند یهوه، من کیستم و خاندان من چیست که مرا به این مقام رسانیدی؟

Then went king David in, and sat down before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord Eternal? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me as far as hitherward?

۱۹ 19 و این نیز در نظر تو‌ای خداوند یهوه امر قلیل نمود زیرا که درباره خانه بنده ات نیزبرای زمان طویل تکلم فرمودی. و آیا این‌ای خداوند یهوه عادت بنی آدم است؟

And this was yet too small a thing in thine eyes, O Lord Eternal; and thou hast spoken also of thy servant's house for a distant time. And is this the desert of man, O Lord Eternal?

۲۰ 20 و داوددیگر به تو چه تواند گفت زیرا که تو‌ای خداوندیهوه، بنده خود را می‌شناسی،

And what can David add yet more to speak unto thee? since thou, O Lord Eternal, knowest well thy servant?

۲۱ 21 و بر‌حسب کلام خود و موافق دل خود تمامی این کارهای عظیم را بجا آوردی تا بنده خود را تعلیم دهی.

For the sake of thy word, and in accordance with thy own heart, hast thou done all this great thing, so as to let thy servant know it.

۲۲ 22 بنابرین‌ای یهوه خدا، تو بزرگ هستی زیراچنانکه به گوشهای خود شنیده‌ایم مثل تو کسی نیست و غیر از تو خدایی نیست.

Therefore art thou great, O Eternal God; for there is none like thee, and there is no God beside thee, in accordance with all that we have heard with our ears.

۲۳ 23 و مثل قوم تواسرائیل کدام‌یک امت بر روی زمین است که خدابیاید تا ایشان را فدیه داده، برای خویش قوم بسازد، و اسمی برای خود پیدا نماید، و چیزهای عظیم و مهیب برای شما و برای زمین خود بجاآورد به حضور قوم خویش که برای خود از مصرو از امتها و خدایان ایشان فدیه دادی.

And who is like thy people, like Israel, the only nation on the earth, which God went to redeem for himself as a people, and to acquire for himself a name, and to do for you this great deed, and fearful things for thy land [to drive out], from before thy people which thou hast redeemed for thyself from Egypt, nations and their gods.

۲۴ 24 و قوم خود اسرائیل را برای خود استوار ساختی، تاایشان تا به ابد قوم تو باشند، و تو‌ای یهوه، خدای ایشان شدی.

For thou hast established for thyself thy people Israel as a people unto thee for ever; and thou, O Lord, art indeed become their God.

۲۵ 25 و الان‌ای یهوه خدا، کلامی را که درباره بنده خود و خانه‌اش گفتی تا به ابد استوارکن، و بر‌حسب آنچه گفتی، عمل نما.

And now, O Eternal God, let the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, stand firm for ever, and do as thou hast spoken.

۲۶ 26 و اسم توتا به ابد معظم بماند، تا گفته شود که یهوه صبایوت، خدای اسرائیل است، و خاندان بنده ات داود به حضور تو پایدار بماند.

And let thy name be magnified unto everlasting, that men may say, The Lord of hosts is the God over Israel: and may the house of thy servant David be established before thee.

۲۷ 27 زیرا توای یهوه صبایوت، خدای اسرائیل، به بنده خوداعلان نموده، گفتی که برای تو خانه‌ای بنا خواهم نموده، بنابرین بنده تو جرات کرده است که این دعا را نزد تو بگوید.

For thou, O Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, hast revealed to the ear of thy servant, saying, A house will be built up for thee; therefore hath thy servant found the heart to pray unto thee this prayer.

۲۸ 28 و الان‌ای خداوند یهوه توخدا هستی و کلام تو صدق است و این نیکویی رابه بنده خود وعده داده‌ای.

And now, O Lord Eternal, thou art the [true] God, and thy words must become the truth, and thou hast spoken unto thy servant this goodness:

۲۹ 29 و الان احسان فرموده، خاندان بنده خود را برکت بده تا آنکه درحضورت تا به ابد بماند، زیرا که تو‌ای خداوندیهوه گفته‌ای و خاندان بنده ات از برکت تو تا به ابدمبارک خواهد بود.»

And now let it please thee and bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee; for thou, O Lord Eternal, hast spoken it; and from thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.
