| و جمیع اسباط اسرائیل نزد داود به حبرون آمدند و متکلم شده، گفتند: «اینک مااستخوان و گوشت تو هستیم. | ۱ 1 |
Then all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron, saying, "Look, we are your bone and your flesh.
| و قبل از این نیزچون شاول بر ما سلطنت می‌نمود تو بودی که اسرائیل را بیرون می‌بردی و اندرون می‌آوردی، و خداوند تو را گفت که تو قوم من، اسرائیل رارعایت خواهی کرد و بر اسرائیل پیشوا خواهی بود.» | ۲ 2 |
In times past, when Saul was king over us, it was you who led out and brought in Israel. The LORD said to you, 'You shall be shepherd of my people Israel, and you shall be ruler over Israel.'"
| و جمیع مشایخ اسرائیل نزد پادشاه به حبرون آمدند، و داود پادشاه در حبرون به حضورخداوند با ایشان عهد بست و داود را بر اسرائیل به پادشاهی مسح نمودند. | ۳ 3 |
So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel.
| و داود هنگامی که پادشاه شد سی ساله بود، و چهل سال سلطنت نمود. | ۴ 4 |
David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.
| هفت سال و شش ماه در حبرون بر یهوداسلطنت نمود، و سی و سه سال در اورشلیم برتمامی اسرائیل و یهودا سلطنت نمود. | ۵ 5 |
In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months; and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years over all Israel and Judah.
| و پادشاه با مردانش به اورشلیم به مقابله یبوسیان که ساکنان زمین بودند، رفت، و ایشان به داود متکلم شده، گفتند: «به اینجا داخل نخواهی شد جز اینکه کوران و لنگان را بیرون کنی.» زیراگمان بردند که داود به اینجا داخل نخواهد شد. | ۶ 6 |
The king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, who spoke to David, saying, "You will not come in here, but the blind and the lame will repel you"; thinking, "David can't come in here."
| و داود قلعه صهیون را گرفت که همان شهر داوداست. | ۷ 7 |
Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion, that is, the City of David.
| و در آن روز داود گفت: «هر‌که یبوسیان رابزند و به قنات رسیده، لنگان و کوران را که مبغوض جان داود هستند (بزند).» بنابرین می‌گویند کور و لنگ، به خانه داخل نخواهند شد. | ۸ 8 |
David said on that day, "Whoever strikes the Jebusites, let him get up to the watercourse, and strike the lame and the blind, those who hate the soul of David." Therefore they say, "The blind and the lame can't come into the palace."
| و داود در قلعه ساکن شد و آن را شهر داودنامید، و داود به اطراف ملو و اندرونش عمارت ساخت. | ۹ 9 |
David lived in the stronghold, and called it the City of David. And he built a city all around from the Millo and inward.
| و داود ترقی کرده، بزرگ می‌شد و یهوه، خدای صبایوت، با وی می‌بود. | ۱۰ 10 |
David grew greater and greater; for the LORD of hosts was with him.
| و حیرام، پادشاه صور، قاصدان و درخت سرو آزاد و نجاران و سنگ تراشان نزد داودفرستاده، برای داود خانه‌ای بنا نمودند. | ۱۱ 11 |
Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and craftsmen of wood, and craftsmen of a wall; and they built David a palace.
| پس داود فهمید که خداوند او را بر اسرائیل به پادشاهی استوار نموده، و سلطنت او را به‌خاطرقوم خویش اسرائیل برافراشته است. | ۱۲ 12 |
And David knew that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel's sake.
| و بعد از آمدن داود از حبرون کنیزان و زنان دیگر از اورشلیم گرفت، و باز برای داود پسران ودختران زاییده شدند. | ۱۳ 13 |
David took more secondary wives and wives out of Jerusalem, after he had come from Hebron; and there were born to David more sons and daughters.
| و نامهای آنانی که برای او در اورشلیم زاییده شدند، این است: شموع وشوباب و ناتان و سلیمان، | ۱۴ 14 |
These are the names of those who were born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon,
| و یبجار و الیشوع ونافج و یافیع، | ۱۵ 15 |
and Ibhar, and Elishua, and Eliphelet, and Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,
| و الیشمع و الیداع و الیفلط. | ۱۶ 16 |
and Elishama, and Baaliada, and Eliphelet.
| و چون فلسطینیان شنیدند که داود را به پادشاهی اسرائیل مسح نموده‌اند، جمیع فلسطینیان برآمدند تا داود را بطلبند، و چون داوداین را شنید به قلعه فرود آمد. | ۱۷ 17 |
When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the stronghold.
| و فلسطینیان آمده، در وادی رفائیان منتشر شدند. | ۱۸ 18 |
Now the Philistines came and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim.
| و داود ازخداوند سوال نموده، گفت: «آیا به مقابله فلسطینیان برآیم و ایشان را به‌دست من تسلیم خواهی نمود؟» خداوند به داود گفت: «برو زیراکه فلسطینیان را البته به‌دست تو خواهم داد.» | ۱۹ 19 |
David inquired of the LORD, saying, "Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hand?" The LORD said to David, "Go up; for I will certainly deliver the Philistines into your hand."
| وداود به بعل فراصیم آمد و داود ایشان را در آنجاشکست داده، گفت: «خداوند دشمنانم را ازحضور من رخنه کرد مثل رخنه آبها.» بنابرین آن مکان را بعل فراصیم نام نهادند. | ۲۰ 20 |
David came to Baal Perazim, and David struck them there; and he said, "The LORD has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of waters." Therefore he called the name of that place Baal Perazim.
| و بتهای خودرا در آنجا ترک کردند و داود و کسانش آنها رابرداشتند. | ۲۱ 21 |
And they abandoned their idols there; and David and his men took them away.
| و فلسطینیان بار دیگر برآمده، در وادی رفائیان منتشر شدند. | ۲۲ 22 |
The Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the Valley of Rephaim.
| و چون داود از خداوندسوال نمود، گفت: «برمیا، بلکه از عقب ایشان دورزده، پیش درختان توت بر ایشان حمله آور. | ۲۳ 23 |
And David inquired of the LORD, and the LORD said to him, "You shall not go up. Circle around behind them, and attack them opposite the poplar trees.
| وچون آواز صدای قدمها در سر درختان توت بشنوی، آنگاه تعجیل کن زیرا که در آن وقت خداوند پیش روی تو بیرون خواهد آمد تا لشکرفلسطینیان را شکست دهد.» | ۲۴ 24 |
And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the poplar trees, that then you are to act decisively; for then the LORD has gone out before you to strike the army of the Philistines."
| پس داود چنانکه خداوند او را امر فرموده بود، کرد، و فلسطینیان رااز جبعه تا جازر شکست داد. | ۲۵ 25 |
David did so, as the LORD commanded him, and struck the Philistines from Geba as far as the approach to Gezer.
