دوم سموئیل 17

۱ 1 و اخیتوفل به ابشالوم گفت: «مرا اذن بده که دوازده هزار نفر را برگزیده، برخیزم و شبانگاه داود را تعاقب نمایم.

And he said Ahithophel to Absalom let me choose please two plus ten thousand man and I will arise and I will pursue after David this night.

۲ 2 پس در حالتی که او خسته و دستهایش سست است بر اورسیده، او را مضطرب خواهم ساخت و تمامی قومی که همراهش هستند، خواهند گریخت، وپادشاه را به تنهایی خواهم کشت.

So I may come on him and he [will be] weary and slack of hands and I will terrify him and will flee all the people which [is] with him and I will strike down the king to only him.

۳ 3 و تمامی قوم را نزد تو خواهم برگردانید زیرا شخصی که او رامی طلبی مثل برگشتن همه است، پس تمامی قوم در سلامتی خواهند بود.»

And I will bring back all the people to you as returns everything the man whom you [are] seeking all the people it will be peace.

۴ 4 و این سخن در نظرجمیع مشایخ اسرائیل پسند آمد.

And it was pleasing the word in [the] eyes of Absalom and in [the] eyes of all [the] elders of Israel.

۵ 5 و ابشالوم گفت: «حوشای ارکی را نیزبخوانید تا بشنویم که او چه خواهد گفت.»

And he said Absalom summon please also Hushai the Arkite so let us hear what? [is] in mouth his also he.

۶ 6 وچون حوشای نزد ابشالوم آمد، ابشالوم وی راخطاب کرده، گفت: «اخیتوفل بدین مضمون گفته است، پس تو بگو که بر‌حسب رای او عمل نماییم یا نه.»

And he came Hushai to Absalom and he said Absalom to him saying according to the word this he has spoken Ahithophel ¿ will we do word his if not you speak.

۷ 7 حوشای به ابشالوم گفت: «مشورتی که اخیتوفل این مرتبه داده است، خوب نیست.»

And he said Hushai to Absalom not [is] good the counsel which he has counseled Ahithophel at the time this.

۸ 8 و حوشای گفت: «می‌دانی که پدرت ومردانش شجاع هستند و مثل خرسی که بچه هایش را در بیابان گرفته باشند، در تلخی جانند، و پدرت مرد جنگ آزموده است، و شب را در میان قوم نمی ماند.

And he said Hushai you you know father your and men his that [are] warriors they and [are] bitter of soul they like a bear robbed of cubs in the field and father your [is] a man of war and not he will pass [the] night with the people.

۹ 9 اینک او الان درحفره‌ای یا جای دیگر مخفی است، و واقع خواهد شد که چون بعضی از ایشان در ابتدابیفتند، هر کس که بشنود خواهد گفت: در میان قومی که تابع ابشالوم هستند، شکستی واقع شده است.

There! now he [has] hidden himself in one of the ravines or in one of the places and it will be when falls among them at the first and he will hear the [one who] hears and he will say it has been a slaughter among the people which [is] after Absalom.

۱۰ 10 و نیز شجاعی که دلش مثل دل شیرباشد، بالکل گداخته خواهد شد، زیرا جمیع اسرائیل می‌دانند که پدر تو جباری است ورفیقانش شجاع هستند.

And he also a son of strength whom heart his [is] like [the] heart of lion surely he will melt for [is] knowing all Israel that [is] a warrior father your and [are] sons of strength who [are] with him.

۱۱ 11 لهذا رای من این است که تمامی اسرائیل از دان تا بئرشبع که مثل ریگ کناره دریا بی‌شمارند، نزد تو جمع شوند، وحضرت تو همراه ایشان برود.

For I counsel certainly let it be gathered to you all Israel from Dan and to Beer Sheba like the sand which [is] at the sea for multitude and face your [will be] going in the battle.

۱۲ 12 پس در مکانی که یافت می‌شود بر او خواهیم رسید، و مثل شبنمی که بر زمین می‌ریزد بر او فرود خواهیم آمد، و از او و تمامی مردانی که همراه وی می‌باشند، یکی هم باقی نخواهد ماند.

And we will come against him (in one of *Qk) the places where he is found there and we will set on him when it will fall the dew on the ground and not we will leave among him and among all the men who [are] with him also one.

۱۳ 13 و اگر به شهری داخل شود، آنگاه تمامی اسرائیل طنابهابه آن شهر خواهند‌آورد و آن شهر را به نهرخواهند کشید تا یک سنگ ریزه‌ای هم در آن پیدانشود.»

And if into a city he will be gathered and they will cause to bring all Israel to the city that ropes and we will drag him to the wadi until that not it has been found there also a pebble.

۱۴ 14 پس ابشالوم و جمیع مردان اسرائیل گفتند: «مشورت حوشای ارکی از مشورت اخیتوفل بهتر است.» زیرا خداوند مقدر فرموده بود که مشورت نیکوی اخیتوفل را باطل گرداند تا آنکه خداوند بدی را بر ابشالوم برساند.

And he said Absalom and every man of Israel [is] good [the] counsel of Hushai the Arkite more than [the] counsel of Ahithophel and Yahweh he had commanded to frustrate [the] counsel of Ahithophel good in order to bring Yahweh to Absalom calamity.

۱۵ 15 و حوشای به صادوق و ابیاتار کهنه گفت: «اخیتوفل به ابشالوم و مشایخ اسرائیل چنین و چنان مشورت داده، و من چنین و چنان مشورت داده‌ام.

And he said Hushai to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests like this and like this he has counseled Ahithophel Absalom and [the] elders of Israel and like this and like this I have counseled I.

۱۶ 16 پس حال به زودی بفرستید و داود رااطلاع داده، گویید: امشب در کناره های بیابان توقف منما بلکه به هر طوری که توانی عبور کن، مبادا پادشاه و همه کسانی که همراه وی می‌باشند، بلعیده شوند.»

And therefore send quickly and tell to David saying may not you pass [the] night this night at [the] desert plains of the wilderness and also certainly you will pass over lest it should be swallowed up to the king and to all the people which [is] with him.

۱۷ 17 و یوناتان و اخیمعص نزد عین روجل توقف می‌نمودند و کنیزی رفته، برای ایشان خبرمی آورد، و ایشان رفته، به داود پادشاه خبرمی رسانیدند، زیرا نمی توانستند به شهر داخل شوند که مبادا خویشتن را ظاهر سازند.

And Jonathan and Ahimaaz [were] staying at En Rogel and she went the maidservant and she told to them and they they went and they told to the king David for not they were able to be seen to go the city towards.

۱۸ 18 اماغلامی ایشان را دیده، به ابشالوم خبر داد، و هردوی ایشان به زودی رفته، به خانه شخصی دربحوریم داخل شدند و در حیاط او چاهی بود که در آن فرود شدند.

And he saw them a young man and he told to Absalom and they went [the] two of them quickly and they came - to [the] house of a man in Bahurim and [belonged] to him a well in courtyard his and they went down there.

۱۹ 19 و زن، سرپوش چاه راگرفته، بر دهنه‌اش گسترانید و بلغور بر آن ریخت. پس چیزی معلوم نشد.

And she took the woman and she spread out the covering on [the] face of the well and she spread on it the grain[s] and not it was known anything.

۲۰ 20 و خادمان ابشالوم نزدآن زن به خانه درآمده، گفتند: «اخیمعص ویوناتان کجایند؟» زن به ایشان گفت: «از نهر آب عبور کردند.» پس چون جستجو کرده، نیافتند، به اورشلیم برگشتند.

And they came [the] servants of Absalom to the woman the house towards and they said where? [are] Ahimaaz and Jonathan and she said to them the woman they have passed over [the] brook of water and they sought [them] and not they found [them] and they returned Jerusalem.

۲۱ 21 و بعد از رفتن آنها، ایشان از چاه برآمدند ورفته، داود پادشاه را خبر دادند و به داود گفتند: «برخیزید و به زودی از آب عبور کنید، زیرا که اخیتوفل درباره شما چنین مشورت داده است.»

And it was - after had gone they and they came up from the well and they went and they told to the king David and they said to David arise and pass over quickly the water for thus he has counseled on you Ahithophel.

۲۲ 22 پس داود و تمامی قومی که همراهش بودند، برخاستند و از اردن عبور کردند و تا طلوع فجریکی باقی نماند که از اردن عبور نکرده باشد.

And he arose David and all the people which [was] with him and they passed over the Jordan until [the] light of the morning up to one [person] not [was] missing who not he had passed over the Jordan.

۲۳ 23 اما چون اخیتوفل دید که مشورت او بجاآورده نشد، الاغ خود را بیاراست و برخاسته، به شهر خود به خانه‌اش رفت و برای خانه خودتدارک دیده، خویشتن را خفه کرد و مرد و او را در قبر پدرش دفن کردند.

And Ahithophel he saw that not it was done counsel his and he saddled the donkey and he arose and he went to house his to city his and he commanded concerning household his and he hanged himself and he died and he was buried in [the] tomb of father his.

۲۴ 24 اما داود به محنایم آمد و ابشالوم از اردن گذشت و تمامی مردان اسرائیل همراهش بودند.

And David he had gone Mahanaim towards and Absalom he had passed over the Jordan he and every man of Israel with him.

۲۵ 25 و ابشالوم، عماسا را به‌جای یوآب به‌سرداری لشکر نصب کرد، و عماسا پسر شخصی مسمی به یترای اسرائیلی بود که نزد ابیجایل، دخترناحاش، خواهر صرویه، مادر یوآب درآمده بود.

And Amasa he had appointed Absalom in place of Joab over the army and Amasa [was] a son of a man and name his [was] Jether the Israelite who he had gone into Abigail [the] daughter of Nahash [the] sister of Zeruiah [the] mother of Joab.

۲۶ 26 پس اسرائیل و ابشالوم در زمین جلعاد اردوزدند.

And it encamped Israel and Absalom [the] land of Gilead.

۲۷ 27 و واقع شد که چون داود به محنایم رسید، شوبی ابن ناحاش از ربت بنی عمون و ماکیر بن عمیئیل از لودبار و برزلائی جلعادی از روجلیم،

And it was when came David Mahanaim towards and Shobi [the] son of Nahash from Rabbah of [the] people of Ammon and Makir [the] son of Ammiel from Lo Debar and Barzillai the Gileadite from Rogelim.

۲۸ 28 بسترها و کاسه‌ها و ظروف سفالین و گندم وجو و آرد و خوشه های برشته و باقلا و عدس ونخود برشته،

Bed[s] and basins and a vessel of a potter and wheat and barley and flour and roasted grain and bean[s] and lentils and roasted grain.

۲۹ 29 و عسل و کره و گوسفندان و پنیرگاو برای خوراک داود و قومی که همراهش بودندآوردند، زیرا گفتند که قوم در بیابان گرسنه وخسته و تشنه می‌باشند.

And honey and curd and sheep and cheese of [the] herd they brought for David and for the people which [was] with him to eat for they said the people [is] hungry and weary and thirsty in the wilderness.
