دوم پادشاهان 8

۱ 1 و الیشع به زنی که پسرش را زنده کرده بود، خطاب کرده، گفت: «تو و خاندانت برخاسته، بروید و در جایی که می‌توانی ساکن شوی، ساکن شو، زیرا خداوند قحطی خوانده است و هم بر زمین هفت سال واقع خواهد شد.»

Then spake Elisha vnto the woman, whose sonne he had restored to life, saying, Vp, and goe, thou, and thine house, and soiourne where thou canst soiourne: for the Lord hath called for a famine, and it commeth also vpon the land seuen yeeres.

۲ 2 و آن زن برخاسته، موافق کلام مرد خدا، عمل نمود و با خاندان خود رفته، در زمین فلسطینیان هفت سال ماوا گزید.

And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man of God, and went both shee and her housholde and soiourned in the lande of the Philistims seuen yeeres.

۳ 3 و واقع شد بعد از انقضای هفت سال که آن زن از زمین فلسطینیان مراجعت کرده، بیرون آمد تا نزد پادشاه برای خانه و زمین خود استغاثه نماید.

And at the seuen yeeres ende, the woman returned out of the lande of the Philistims, and went out to call vpon the King for her house and for her land.

۴ 4 و پادشاه با جیحزی، خادم مرد خدا گفتگو می‌نمود و می‌گفت: «حال تمام اعمال عظیمی را که الیشع بجا آورده است، به من بگو.»

And the King talked with Gehazi the seruant of the man of God, saying, Tell mee, I pray thee, all the great actes, that Elisha hath done.

۵ 5 و هنگامی که او برای پادشاه بیان می‌کردکه چگونه مرده‌ای را زنده نمود، اینک زنی که پسرش را زنده کرده بود، نزد پادشاه به جهت خانه و زمین خود استغاثه نمود. و جیحزی گفت: «ای آقایم پادشاه! این همان زن است و پسری که الیشع زنده کرد، این است.»

And as he told the King, howe he had restored one dead to life, behold, the woman, whose sonne he had raised to life, called vpon the King for her house and for her land. Then Gehazi sayd, My lorde, O King, this is the woman, and this is her sonne, whom Elisha restored to life.

۶ 6 و چون پادشاه از زن پرسید، او وی را خبر داد، پس پادشاه یکی ازخواجگان خود را برایش تعیین نموده، گفت: «تمامی مایملک او وتمامی حاصل ملک او را از روزی که زمین را ترک کرده است تا الان به او ردنما.»

And when the King asked the woman, shee told him: so the King appoynted her an Eunuch, saying, Restore thou all that are hers, and all the fruites of her landes since the day shee left the land, euen vntill this time.

۷ 7 و الیشع به دمشق رفت و بنهدد، پادشاه ارام، بیمار بود و به او خبر داده، گفتند که مرد خدااینجا آمده است.

Then Elisha came to Damascus, and Ben-hadad the King of Aram was sicke, and one told him, saying, The man of God is come hither.

۸ 8 پس پادشاه به حزائیل گفت: «هدیه‌ای به‌دست خود گرفته، برای ملاقات مردخدا برو و به واسطه او از خداوند سوال نما که آیااز این مرض خود شفا خواهم یافت؟»

And the king sayd vnto Hazael, Take a present in thine hande, and goe meete the man of God, that thou mayest inquire of ye Lord by him, saying, Shall I recouer of this disease?

۹ 9 و حزائیل برای ملاقات وی رفته، هدیه‌ای به‌دست خودگرفت، یعنی بار چهل شتر از تمامی نفایس دمشق. و آمده، به حضور وی ایستاد و گفت: «پسرت، بنهدد، پادشاه ارام مرا نزد تو فرستاده، می‌گوید: آیا از این مرض خود شفا خواهم یافت؟»

So Hazael went to meete him, and tooke the present in his hand, and of euery good thing of Damascus, euen the burden of fourtie camels, and came and stood before him, and sayde, Thy sonne Ben-hadad King of Aram hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recouer of this disease?

۱۰ 10 و الیشع وی را گفت: «برو و او را بگو: البته شفا توانی یافت لیکن خداوند مرا اعلام نموده است که هرآینه او خواهد مرد.»

And Elisha sayd to him, Goe, and say vnto him, Thou shalt recouer: howbeit the Lord hath shewed me, that he shall surely dye.

۱۱ 11 و چشم خود را خیره ساخته، بر وی نگریست تا خجل گردید. پس مرد خدا بگریست.

And hee looked vpon him stedfastly, till Hazael was ashamed, and the man of God wept.

۱۲ 12 و حزائیل گفت: «آقایم چرا گریه می‌کند؟» او جواب داد: «چونکه ضرری را که تو به بنی‌اسرائیل خواهی رسانید، می‌دانم، قلعه های ایشان را آتش خواهی زد و جوانان ایشان را به شمشیر خواهی کشت، واطفال ایشان را خرد خواهی نمود و حامله های ایشان را شکم پاره خواهی کرد.»

And Hazael sayde, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I knowe the euill that thou shalt do vnto the children of Israel: for their strong cities shalt thou set on fire, and their yong men shalt thou slay with the sworde, and shalt dash their infantes against the stones, and rent in pieces their women with child.

۱۳ 13 و حزائیل گفت: «بنده تو که سگ است، کیست که چنین عمل عظیمی بکند؟» الیشع گفت: «خداوند بر من نموده است که تو پادشاه ارام خواهی شد.»

Then Hazael said, What? is thy seruant a dog, that I should doe this great thing? And Elisha answered, The Lord hath shewed mee, that thou shalt be King of Aram.

۱۴ 14 پس از نزد الیشع روانه شده، نزد آقای خود آمد و او وی را گفت: «الیشع تو را چه گفت؟» اوجواب داد: «به من گفت که البته شفا خواهی یافت.»

So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master, who said to him, What saide Elisha to thee? And he answered, Hee tolde mee that thou shouldest recouer.

۱۵ 15 و در فردای آن روز، لحاف را گرفته آن را در آب فرو برد و بر رویش گسترد که مرد وحزائیل در جایش پادشاه شد.

And on the morow he tooke a thick cloth and dipt in it water, and spread it on his face, and hee dyed: and Hazael reigned in his stead.

۱۶ 16 و در سال پنجم یورام بن اخاب، پادشاه اسرائیل، وقتی که یهوشافاط هنوز پادشاه یهودابود، یهورام بن یهوشافاط، پادشاه یهودا آغازسلطنت نمود.

Now in the fift yere of Ioram ye sonne of Ahab King of Israel, and of Iehoshaphat King of Iudah, Iehoram the sonne of Iehoshaphat King of Iudah began to reigne.

۱۷ 17 و چون پادشاه شد، سی و دوساله بود و هشت سال در اورشلیم پادشاهی کرد.

He was two and thirtie yere olde, when he began to reigne: and hee reigned eight yeere in Ierusalem.

۱۸ 18 و به طریق پادشاهان اسرائیل به نحوی که خاندان اخاب عمل می‌نمودند سلوک نمود، زیراکه دختر اخاب، زن او بود و آنچه در نظر خداوندناپسند بود، به عمل می‌آورد.

And hee walked in the wayes of the Kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife, and hee did euill in the sight of the Lord.

۱۹ 19 اما خداوند به‌خاطر بنده داود نخواست که یهودا را هلاک سازدچونکه وی را وعده داده بود که او را و پسرانش راهمیشه اوقات، چراغی بدهد.

Yet the Lord would not destroy Iudah, for Dauid his seruants sake, as he had promised him to giue him a light, and to his children for euer.

۲۰ 20 و در ایام وی ادوم از زیر دست یهودا عاصی شده، پادشاهی برخود نصب کردند.

In those dayes Edom rebelled from vnder the hand of Iudah, and made a King ouer themselues.

۲۱ 21 و یورام با تمامی ارابه های خود به صعیر رفتند و در شب برخاسته، ادومیان را که او را احاطه نموده بودند و سرداران ارابه‌ها راشکست داد و قوم به خیمه های خود فرار کردند.

Therefore Ioram went to Zair, and all his charets with him, and he arose by night, and smote the Edomites which were about him with the captains of the charets, and the people fled into their tents.

۲۲ 22 و ادوم از زیر دست یهودا تا امروز عاصی شده‌اند و لبنه نیز در آن وقت عاصی شد.

So Edom rebelled from vnder the hand of Iudah vnto this day. then Libnah rebelled at that same time.

۲۳ 23 و بقیه وقایع یورام و آنچه کرد، آیا در کتاب تواریخ ایام پادشاهان یهودا مکتوب نیست؟

Concerning the rest of the actes of Ioram and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?

۲۴ 24 و یورام باپدران خود خوابید و در شهر داود با پدران خوددفن شد. و پسرش اخزیا به‌جایش پادشاهی کرد.

And Ioram slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the citie of Dauid. And Ahaziah his sonne reigned in his stead.

۲۵ 25 و در سال دوازدهم یورام بن اخاب، پادشاه اسرائیل، اخزیا ابن یهورام، پادشاه یهودا، آغاز سلطنت نمود.

In the twelft yere of Ioram the sonne of Ahab King of Israel did Ahaziah the sonne of Iehoram King of Iudah begin to reigne.

۲۶ 26 و اخزیا چون پادشاه شد، بیست و دو ساله بود و یک سال در اورشلیم پادشاهی کرد و اسم مادرش عتلیا، دختر عمری پادشاه اسرائیل بود.

Two and twentie yeere olde was Ahaziah when he began to reigne, and he reigned one yere in Ierusalem, and his mothers name was Athaliah the daughter of Omri King of Israel.

۲۷ 27 و به طریق خاندان اخاب سلوک نموده، آنچه در نظر خداوند ناپسند بود، مثل خاندان اخاب به عمل می‌آورد زیرا که دامادخاندان اخاب بود.

And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did euill in the sight of the Lord, like the house of Ahab: for hee was the sonne in law of the house of Ahab.

۲۸ 28 و با یورام بن اخاب برای مقاتله با حزائیل پادشاه ارام به راموت جلعاد رفت و ارامیان، یورام را مجروح ساختند.

And he went with Ioram the sonne of Ahab to warre against Hazael King of Aram in Ramoth Gilead, and the Aramites smote Ioram.

۲۹ 29 و یورام پادشاه به یزرعیل مراجعت کرد تا از جراحتهایی که ارامیان به وی رسانیده بودند هنگامی که با حزائیل، پادشاه ارام جنگ می‌نمود، شفا یابد. و اخزیا ابن یهورام، پادشاه یهودا، به یزرئیل فرود آمد تا یورام بن اخاب را عیادت نماید چونکه مریض بود.

And King Ioram returned to bee healed in Izreel of the wounds which ye Aramites had giuen him at Ramah, whe he fought against Hazael King of Aram. And Ahaziah the sonne of Iehoram King of Iudah went downe to see Ioram the sonne of Ahab in Izreel, because he was sicke.
