دوم تواریخ 34

۱ 1 یوشیا هشت ساله بود که پادشاه شد ودر اورشلیم سی و یکسال سلطنت نمود.

Iosiah was eight yeere olde when hee began to reigne, and he reigned in Ierusalem one and thirtie yeere.

۲ 2 و آنچه در نظر خداوند پسند بود، به عمل آورد و به طریق های پدر خود داود سلوک نموده، به طرف راست یا چپ انحراف نورزید.

And he did vprightly in the sight of ye Lord, and walked in the wayes of Dauid his father, and bowed neither to the right hand nor to the left.

۳ 3 و درسال هشتم سلطنت خود، حینی که هنوز جوان بود، به طلبیدن خدای پدر خود داود شروع کرد ودر سال دوازدهم به طاهر ساختن یهودا واورشلیم از مکان های بلند و اشیره‌ها و تمثالها وبتها آغاز نمود.

And in the eight yeere of his reigne (when he was yet a childe) he began to seeke after the God of Dauid his father: and in the twelft yeere he began to purge Iudah, and Ierusalem from the hie places, and the groues, and the carued images, and molten images:

۴ 4 و مذبح های بعلیم را به حضوروی منهدم ساختند، و تماثیل شمس را که بر آنهابود قطع نمود، و اشیره‌ها و تمثالها و بتهای ریخته شده را شکست، و آنها را خرد کرده، برروی قبرهای آنانی که برای آنها قربانی می‌گذرانیدند، پاشید.

And they brake downe in his sight the altars of Baalim, and hee caused to cut downe the images that were on hie vpon them: he brake also the groues, and the carued images, and the molten images, and stampt them to pouder, and strowed it vpon the graues of them that had sacrificed vnto them.

۵ 5 و استخوانهای کاهنان رابر مذبح های خودشان سوزانید. پس یهودا واورشلیم را طاهر نمود.

Also he burnt the bones of the Priests vpon their altars, and purged Iudah and Ierusalem.

۶ 6 و در شهرهای منسی وافرایم و شمعون حتی نفتالی نیز در خرابه هایی که به هر طرف آنها بود (همچنین کرد).

And in the cities of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and Simeon, euen vnto Naphtali, with their maules they brake all round about.

۷ 7 و مذبح هارا منهدم ساخت و اشیره‌ها و تمثالها را کوبیده، نرم کرد و همه تمثالهای شمس را در تمامی زمین اسرائیل قطع نموده، به اورشلیم مراجعت کرد.

And when he had destroyed the altars and the groues, and had broken and stamped to pouder the images, and had cut downe all the idoles throughout all the land of Israel, hee returned to Ierusalem.

۸ 8 و در سال هجدهم سلطنت خود، بعد از آنکه زمین و خانه را طاهر ساخته بود، شافان بن اصلیا ومعسیا رئیس شهر و یوآخ بن یوآحاز وقایع نگاررا برای تعمیر خانه یهوه خدای خود فرستاد.

Then in the eightenth yere of his reigne, when hee had purged the lande and the Temple, he sent Shaphan the sonne of Azaliah, and Maaseiah the gouernour of the citie, and Ioah the sonne of Ioahaz the recorder, to repaire the house of the Lord his God.

۹ 9 ونزد حلقیای رئیس کهنه آمدند و نقره‌ای را که به خانه خدا درآورده شده، و لاویان مستحفظان آستانه، آن را از دست منسی و افرایم و تمامی بقیه اسرائیل و تمامی یهودا و بنیامین و ساکنان اورشلیم جمع کرده بودند، به او تسلیم نمودند.

And when they came to Hilkiah the hie Priest, they deliuered ye money that was brought into the house of God, which the Leuites that kept the doore, had gathered at the hand of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and of all the residue of Israel, and of all Iudah and Beniamin, and of the inhabitantes of Ierusalem.

۱۰ 10 و آن را به‌دست سرکارانی که بر خانه خداوندگماشته شده بودند، سپردند تا آن را به عمله هایی که در خانه خداوند کار می‌کردند، به جهت اصلاح و تعمیر خانه بدهند.

And they put it in the hands of them that should doe the worke and had the ouersight in the house of the Lord: and they gaue it to the workemen that wrought in the house of ye Lord, to repaire and amend the house.

۱۱ 11 پس آن را به نجاران و بنایان دادند تا سنگهای تراشیده وچوب به جهت اردیها و تیرها برای خانه هایی که پادشاهان یهودا آنها را خراب کرده بودند، بخرند.

Euen to the workemen and to the builders gaue they it, to bye hewed stone and timber for couples and for beames of the houses, which the Kings of Iudah had destroyed.

۱۲ 12 و آن مردان، کار را به امانت بجا می‌آوردند، وسرکاران ایشان که نظارت می‌کردند، یحت وعوبدیای لاویان از بنی مراری و زکریا و مشلام ازبنی قهاتیان بودند، و نیز از لاویان هر‌که به آلات موسیقی ماهر بود.

And the men did the worke faithfully, and the ouerseers of them were Iahath and Obadiah the Leuites, of the children of Merari, and Zechariah, and Meshullam, of the children of the Kohathites to set it forward: and of the Leuites all that could skill of instruments of musike.

۱۳ 13 و ایشان ناظران حمالان ووکلاء بر همه آنانی که در هر گونه‌ای خدمت، اشتغال داشتند بودند، و از لاویان کاتبان وسرداران و دربانان بودند.

And they were ouer the bearers of burdens, and them that set forwarde all the workemen in euery worke: and of the Leuites were scribes, and officers and porters.

۱۴ 14 و چون نقره‌ای را که به خانه خداوند آورده شده بود، بیرون می‌بردند، حلقیای کاهن، کتاب تورات خداوند را که به واسطه موسی (نازل شده )بود پیدا کرد.

And when they brought out the money that was brought into the house of the Lord, Hilkiah the Priest found the booke of the Lawe of the Lord giuen by the hand of Moses.

۱۵ 15 و حلقیا شافان کاتب را خطاب کرده، گفت: «کتاب تورات را در خانه خداوندیافته‌ام.» و حلقیا آن کتاب را به شافان داد.

Therefore Hilkiah answered and sayde to Shaphan the chaceler, I haue found the booke of the Law in the house of the Lord: and Hilkiah gaue the booke to Shaphan.

۱۶ 16 وشافان آن کتاب را نزد پادشاه برد و نیز به پادشاه خبر رسانیده، گفت: «هر‌آنچه به‌دست بندگانت سپرده شده است آن را بجا می‌آورند.»

And Shaphan caried the booke to the King, and brought the King worde againe, saying, All that is committed to the hand of thy seruants, that do they.

۱۷ 17 ونقره‌ای را که در خانه خداوند یافت شد، بیرون آوردند و آن را به‌دست سرکاران و به‌دست عمله‌ها دادند.

For they haue gathered the money that was found in the house of the Lord, and haue deliuered it into the handes of the ouerseers, and to the handes of the workemen.

۱۸ 18 و شافان کاتب پادشاه را خبرداده، گفت: «حلقیای کاهن کتابی به من داده است.» پس شافان آن را به حضور پادشاه خواند.

Also Shaphan ye chanceler declared to the King, saying, Hilkiah the Priest hath giuen mee a booke, and Shaphan read it before the King.

۱۹ 19 و چون پادشاه سخنان تورات را شنید، لباس خود را درید.

And when the King had heard the wordes of the Lawe, he tare his clothes.

۲۰ 20 و پادشاه، حلقیای کاهن واخیقام بن شافان و عبدون بن میکا و شافان کاتب وعسایا خادم پادشاه را امر فرموده، گفت:

And the King commanded Hilkiah, and Ahikam the sonne of Shaphan, and Abdon the sonne of Micah, and Shaphan the chanceler, and Asaiah the Kings seruant, saying,

۲۱ 21 «بروید و از خداوند برای من و برای بقیه اسرائیل و یهودا درباره سخنانی که در این کتاب یافت می‌شود، مسئلت نمایید زیرا غضب خداوند که بر ما ریخته شده است، عظیم می‌باشدچونکه پدران ما کلام خداوند را نگاه نداشتند و به هر‌آنچه در این کتاب مکتوب است عمل ننمودند.»

Goe and enquire of the Lord for me, and for the rest in Israel and Iudah, concerning the wordes of this booke that is founde: for great is the wrath of the Lord that is fallen vpon vs, because our fathers haue not kept the worde of the Lord, to doe after all that is written in this booke.

۲۲ 22 پس حلقیا و آنانی که پادشاه ایشان را امر فرمود، نزد حلده نبیه زن شلوم بن توقهه بن حسره لباس دار رفتند، و او در محله دوم اورشلیم ساکن بود و او را بدین مضمون سخن‌گفتند.

Then Hilkiah and they that the King had appoynted, went to Huldah the Prophetesse ye wife of Shallum, the sonne of Tokhath, the sonne of Hasrah keeper of the wardrobe (and she dwelt in Ierusalem within the colledge) and they communed hereof with her.

۲۳ 23 واو به ایشان گفت: «یهوه خدای اسرائیل چنین می‌فرماید: به کسی‌که شما را نزد من فرستاده است بگویید:

And shee answered them, Thus sayth the Lord God of Israel, Tell yee the man that sent you to me,

۲۴ 24 خداوند چنین می‌فرماید: اینک من بلایی بر این مکان و ساکنانش خواهم رسانید، یعنی همه لعنتهایی که در این کتاب که آن را به حضور پادشاه یهودا خواندند، مکتوب است.

Thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I will bring euill vpon this place, and vpon the inhabitantes thereof, euen all the curses, that are written in the booke which they haue read before the King of Iudah:

۲۵ 25 چونکه مرا ترک کرده، برای خدایان دیگربخور‌سوزانیدند تا به تمامی اعمال دستهای خودخشم مرا به هیجان بیاورند، پس غضب من بر این مکان افروخته شده، خاموشی نخواهد پذیرفت.

Because they haue forsaken me, and burnt incense vnto other gods, to anger mee with al the workes of their hands, therefore shall my wrath fall vpon this place, and shall not be quenched.

۲۶ 26 لیکن به پادشاه یهودا که شما را به جهت مسئلت نمودن از خداوند فرستاده است، بگویید: یهوه خدای اسرائیل چنین می‌فرماید: درباره سخنانی که شنیده‌ای،

But to the King of Iudah, who sent you to enquire of the Lord, so shall ye say vnto him, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The words which thou hast heard, shall come to passe.

۲۷ 27 چونکه دل تو نرم بود وهنگامی که کلام خداوند را درباره این مکان وساکنانش شنیدی، در حضور وی تواضع نمودی و به حضور من متواضع شده، لباس خود رادریدی و به حضور من گریستی، بنابراین خداوندمی گوید: من نیز تو را اجابت فرمودم.

But because thine heart did melt, and thou didest humble thy selfe before God, when thou heardest his wordes against this place and against the inhabitantes thereof, and humbledst thy selfe before mee and tarest thy clothes, and weptest before mee, I haue also heard it, sayth the Lord.

۲۸ 28 اینک من تو را نزد پدرانت جمع خواهم کرد و در قبر خودبه سلامتی گذارده خواهی شد، و چشمان توتمامی بلا را که من بر این مکان و ساکنانش می رسانم نخواهد دید.» پس ایشان نزد پادشاه جواب آوردند.

Beholde, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt bee put in thy graue in peace, and thine eyes shall not see all the euill, which I will bring vpon this place, and vpon the inhabitants of the same. Thus they brought ye King word againe.

۲۹ 29 و پادشاه فرستاد که تمامی مشایخ یهودا واورشلیم را جمع کردند.

Then the King sent and gathered all the Elders of Iudah and Ierusalem.

۳۰ 30 و پادشاه و تمامی مردان یهودا و ساکنان اورشلیم و کاهنان و لاویان و تمامی قوم، چه کوچک و چه بزرگ، به خانه خداوند برآمدند و او همه سخنان کتاب عهدی راکه در خانه خداوند یافت شد، در گوش ایشان خواند.

And the King went vp into the house of the Lord, and all the men of Iudah, and the inhabitants of Ierusalem, and the Priests and the Leuites, and all the people from the greatest to the smallest, and hee read in their eares all the wordes of the booke of the couenant that was found in the house of the Lord.

۳۱ 31 و پادشاه بر منبر خود ایستاد و به حضور خداوند عهد بست که خداوند را پیروی نموده، اوامر و شهادات و فرایض او را به تمامی دل و تمامی جان نگاه دارند و سخنان این عهد راکه در این کتاب مکتوب است، بجا آورند.

And the King stood by his pillar, and made a couenant before the Lord, to walke after the Lord, and to keepe his commandements, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soule, and that he would accomplish the wordes of the couenant written in the same booke.

۳۲ 32 وهمه آنانی را که در اورشلیم و بنیامین حاضربودند، بر این متمکن ساخت و ساکنان اورشلیم، برحسب عهد خدا یعنی خدای پدران خود، عمل نمودند.

And he caused all that were found in Ierusalem, and Beniamin to stande to it: and the inhabitants of Ierusalem did according to the couenant of God, euen the God of their fathers.

۳۳ 33 و یوشیا همه رجاسات را ازتمامی زمینهایی که از آن بنی‌اسرائیل بودبرداشت، و همه کسانی را که در اسرائیل یافت شدند، تحریض نمود که یهوه خدای خود راعبادت نمایند و ایشان در تمامی ایام او از متابعت یهوه خدای پدران خود انحراف نورزیدند.

So Iosiah tooke away al the abominations out of all the countreis that perteined to the children of Israel, and compelled all that were found in Israel, to serue the Lord their God: so all his dayes they turned not backe from the Lord God of their fathers.
