| امصیا بیست و پنج ساله بود که پادشاه شد و بیست و نه سال در اورشلیم پادشاهی کرد و اسم مادرش یهوعدان اورشلیمی بود. | ۱ 1 |
Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.
| و آنچه در نظر خداوند پسند بود، به عمل آورد، اما نه به دل کامل. | ۲ 2 |
And he did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, but not with a perfect heart.
| و چون سلطنت در دستش مستحکم شد، خادمان خود را که پدرش پادشاه را کشته بودند، به قتل رسانید. | ۳ 3 |
Now it came to pass, when the kingdom was established unto him, that he slew his servants which had killed the king his father.
| اما پسران ایشان را نکشت به موجب نوشته کتاب تورات موسی که خداوند امر فرموده و گفته بود: «پدران به جهت پسران کشته نشوند و پسران به جهت پدران مقتول نگردند، بلکه هر کس به جهت گناه خود کشته شود.» | ۴ 4 |
But he put not their children to death, but did according to that which is written in the law in the book of Moses, as the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not die for the children, neither shall the children die for the fathers; but every man shall die for his own sin.
| و امصیا یهودا را جمع کرده، سرداران هزاره و سرداران صده از ایشان در تمامی یهودا وبنیامین مقرر فرمود و ایشان را از بیست ساله بالاترشمرده، سیصد هزار مرد برگزیده نیزه و سپردار راکه به جنگ بیرون می‌رفتند، یافت. | ۵ 5 |
Moreover Amaziah gathered Judah together, and ordered them according to their fathers’ houses, under captains of thousands and captains of hundreds, even all Judah and Benjamin: and he numbered them from twenty years old and upward, and found them three hundred thousand chosen men, able to go forth to war, that could handle spear and shield.
| و صد هزارمرد شجاع جنگ آزموده به صد وزنه نقره ازاسرائیل اجیر ساخت. | ۶ 6 |
He hired also an hundred thousand mighty men of valour out of Israel for an hundred talents of silver.
| اما مرد خدایی نزد وی آمده، گفت: «ای پادشاه، لشکر اسرائیل با تونروند زیرا خداوند با اسرائیل یعنی با تمامی بنی افرایم نیست. | ۷ 7 |
But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the LORD is not with Israel, [to wit], with all the children of Ephraim.
| و اگر می‌خواهی بروی برو وبه جهت جنگ قوی شو لیکن خدا تو را پیش دشمنان مغلوب خواهد ساخت زیرا قدرت نصرت دادن و مغلوب ساختن با خدا است.» | ۸ 8 |
But if thou wilt go, do [valiantly], be strong for the battle: God shall cast thee down before the enemy; for God hath power to help, and to cast down.
| امصیا به مرد خدا گفت: «برای صد وزنه نقره که به لشکر اسرائیل داده‌ام، چه کنم؟» مرد خداجواب داد: «خداوند قادر است که تو را بیشتر ازاین بدهد.» | ۹ 9 |
And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD is able to give thee much more than this.
| پس امصیا لشکری را که از افرایم نزد او آمده بودند، جدا کرد که به‌جای خودبرگردند و از این سبب خشم ایشان بر یهودا به شدت افروخته شد و بسیار غضبناک گردیده، به‌جای خود رفتند. | ۱۰ 10 |
Then Amaziah separated them, [to wit], the army that was come to him out of Ephraim, to go home again: wherefore their anger was greatly kindled against Judah, and they returned home in fierce anger.
| و امصیا خویشتن را تقویت نموده، قوم خود را بیرون برد و به وادی الملح رسیده، ده هزار نفر از بنی سعیر را کشت. | ۱۱ 11 |
And Amaziah took courage, and led forth his people, and went to the Valley of Salt, and smote of the children of Seir ten thousand.
| و بنی یهودا ده هزار نفر دیگر را زنده اسیر کرد، و ایشان را به قله سالع برده، از قله سالع به زیر انداختند که جمیع خرد شدند. | ۱۲ 12 |
And [other] ten thousand did the children of Judah carry away alive, and brought them unto the top of the rock, and cast them down from the top of the rock, that they all were broken in pieces.
| و اما مردان آن فوج که امصیا بازفرستده بود تا همراهش به جنگ نروند، برشهرهای یهودا از سامره تا بیت حورون تاختند وسه هزار نفر را کشته، غنیمت بسیار بردند. | ۱۳ 13 |
But the men of the army which Amaziah sent back, that they should not go with him to battle, fell upon the cities of Judah, from Samaria even unto Beth-horon, and smote of them three thousand, and took much spoil.
| و بعد از مراجعت امصیا از شکست دادن ادومیان، او خدایان بنی سعیر را آورده، آنها راخدایان خود ساخت و آنها را سجده نموده، بخور برای آنها سوزانید. | ۱۴ 14 |
Now it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto them.
| پس خشم خداوند برامصیا افروخته شد و نبی نزد وی فرستاد که او رابگوید: «چرا خدایان آن قوم را که قوم خود را ازدست تو نتوانستند رهانید، طلبیدی؟» | ۱۵ 15 |
Wherefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which have not delivered their own people out of thine hand?
| و چون این سخن را به وی گفت، او را جواب داد: «آیا تورا مشیر پادشاه ساخته‌اند؟ ساکت شو! چرا تو رابکشند؟» پس نبی ساکت شده، گفت: «می‌دانم که خدا قصد نموده است که تو را هلاک کند، چونکه این کار را کردی و نصیحت مرا نشنیدی.» | ۱۶ 16 |
And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that [the king] said unto him, Have we made thee of the king’s counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.
| پس امصیا، پادشاه یهودا، مشورت کرده، نزد یوآش بن یهوآحاز بن ییهو پادشاه اسرائیل فرستاده، گفت: «بیا تا با یکدیگر مقابله نماییم.» | ۱۷ 17 |
Then Amaziah king of Judah took advice, and sent to Joash, the son of Jehoahaz the son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us look one another in the face.
| و یوآش پادشاه اسرائیل نزد امصیا پادشاه یهودا فرستاده، گفت: «شترخار لبنان نزد سروآزاد لبنان فرستاده، گفت: دختر خود را به پسر من به زنی بده. اما حیوان وحشی که در لبنان بود گذرکرده، شترخار را پایمال نمود. | ۱۸ 18 |
And Joash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon; and trode down the thistle.
| می‌گویی، هان ادوم را شکست دادم و دلت تو را مغرور ساخته است که افتخار نمایی؟ حال به خانه خود برگرد. چرا بلا را برای خود برمی انگیزانی تا خودت ویهودا همراهت بیفتید؟» | ۱۹ 19 |
Thou sayest, Lo, thou hast smitten Edom; and thine heart lifteth thee up to boast: abide now at home; why shouldest thou meddle to [thy] hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?
| اما امصیا گوش نداد زیرا که این امر از جانب خدا بود تا ایشان را به‌دست دشمنان تسلیم نماید، چونکه خدایان ادوم را طلبیدند. | ۲۰ 20 |
But Amaziah would not hear; for it was of God, that he might deliver them into the hand [of their enemies], because they had sought after the gods of Edom.
| پس یوآش پادشاه اسرائیل برآمد و او و امصیا پادشاه یهودا در بیت شمس که در یهودا است، با یکدیگرمقابله نمودند. | ۲۱ 21 |
So Joash king of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face at Beth-shemesh, which belongeth to Judah.
| و یهودا از حضور اسرائیل منهزم شده، هر کس به خیمه خود فرار کرد. | ۲۲ 22 |
And Judah was put to the worse before Israel; and they fled every man to his tent.
| ویوآش پادشاه اسرائیل امصیا ابن یوآش بن یهوآحاز پادشاه یهودا را در بیت شمس گرفت و او را به اورشلیم آورده، چهارصد ذراع حصاراورشلیم را از دروازه افرایم تا دروازه زاویه منهدم ساخت. | ۲۳ 23 |
And Joash king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Joash the son of Jehoahaz, at Beth-shemesh, and brought him to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim unto the corner gate, four hundred cubits.
| و تمامی طلا و نقره و تمامی ظروفی را که در خانه خدا نزد (بنی ) عوبید ادوم ودر خزانه های خانه پادشاه یافت شد و یرغمالان را گرفته، به سامره مراجعت کرد. | ۲۴ 24 |
And [he took] all the gold and silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of God with Obed-edom, and the treasures of the king’s house, the hostages also, and returned to Samaria.
| و امصیاابن یوآش پادشاه یهودا، بعد از وفات یوآش بن یهوآحاز پادشاه اسرائیل، پانزده سال زندگانی نمود. | ۲۵ 25 |
And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel fifteen years.
| و بقیه وقایع اول و آخر امصیا، آیا درتواریخ پادشاهان یهودا و اسرائیل مکتوب نیست؟ | ۲۶ 26 |
Now the rest of the acts of Amaziah, first and last, behold, are they not written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel?
| و از زمانی که امصیا از پیروی خداوندانحراف ورزید، بعضی در اورشلیم فتنه بر وی انگیختند. پس به لاکیش فرار کرد و از عقبش به لاکیش فرستادند و او را در آنجا کشتند. | ۲۷ 27 |
Now from the time that Amaziah did turn away from following the LORD they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem; and he fled to Lachish: but they sent after him to Lachish, and slew him there.
| و او رابر اسبان آوردند و با پدرانش در شهر یهودا دفن کردند. | ۲۸ 28 |
And they brought him upon horses, and buried him with his fathers in the city of Judah.
