اول پطرس 5

۱ 1 پیران را در میان شما نصیحت می‌کنم، من که نیز با شما پیر هستم و شاهد بر زحمات مسیح و شریک در جلالی که مکشوف خواهدشد.

As for the older ones among you, who are elders in the church, I, their fellow elder, and a witness to the sufferings of the Christ, who will also share in the glory that is to be revealed –

۲ 2 گله خدا را که در میان شماست بچرانید ونظارت آن را بکنید، نه به زور بلکه به رضامندی ونه بجهت سود قبیح بلکه به رغبت؛

I beg you to be true shepherds of the flock of God among you, not because you are compelled, but of your own free will; not from a base love of gain, but with a ready spirit;

۳ 3 و نه‌چنانکه بر قسمت های خود خداوندی بکنید بلکه بجهت گله نمونه باشید،

not as lords of your charges, but as examples to your flock.

۴ 4 تا در وقتی که رئیس شبانان ظاهر شود، تاج ناپژمرده جلال را بیابید.

Then, when the chief shepherd appears, you will win the crown of glory that never fades.

۵ 5 همچنین‌ای جوانان، مطیع پیران باشید بلکه همه با یکدیگر فروتنی را بر خود ببندید زیرا خدابا متکبران مقاومت می‌کند و فروتنان را فیض می‌بخشد.

Again, you younger ones should show deference to the older. And all of you should put on the badge of humility in mutual service, for “God is opposed to the proud, but gives his help to the humble.”

۶ 6 پس زبردست زورآور خدا فروتنی نمایید تا شما را در وقت معین سرافراز نماید.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in his good time,

۷ 7 وتمام اندیشه خود را به وی واگذارید زیرا که اوبرای شما فکر می‌کند.

laying all your anxieties on him, for he makes you his care.

۸ 8 هشیار و بیدار باشید زیراکه دشمن شما ابلیس مانند شیر غران گردش می‌کند و کسی را می‌طلبد تا ببلعد.

Exercise self-control, be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, like a roaring lion, is prowling about, eager to devour you.

۹ 9 پس به ایمان استوار شده، با او مقاومت کنید، چون آگاه هستیدکه همین زحمات بر برادران شما که در دنیاهستند، می‌آید.

Stand firm against him, strong in your faith; knowing, as you do, that the sufferings which you are undergoing are being endured to the full by the Lord’s followers throughout the world.

۱۰ 10 و خدای همه فیضها که ما را به جلال ابدی خود در عیسی مسیح خوانده، است، شما را بعداز کشیدن زحمتی قلیل کامل و استوار و تواناخواهد ساخت. (aiōnios g166)

God, from whom all help comes, and who called you, by your union with Christ, into his eternal glory, will, when you have suffered for a little while, himself perfect, establish, strengthen you. (aiōnios g166)

۱۱ 11 او را تا ابدالاباد جلال وتوانایی باد، آمین. (aiōn g165)

To him be ascribed dominion for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)

۱۲ 12 به توسط سلوانس که او را برادر امین شمامی شمارم، مختصری نوشتم و نصیحت وشهادت می‌دهم که همین است فیض حقیقی خداکه بر آن قائم هستید.

I have been writing to you briefly by the hand of Silas, our true-hearted friend (for so I regard him), to encourage you, and to bear my testimony that in what I have written is to be found the true love of God. On that take your stand.

۱۳ 13 خواهر برگزیده با شما که در بابل است و پسر من مرقس به شما سلام می‌رسانند.

Your sister church in “Babylon” sends you greeting, and so does Mark, who is as a son to me.

۱۴ 14 یکدیگر را به بوسه محبتانه سلام نمایید و همه شما را که در مسیح عیسی هستید، سلام باد آمین.

Greet one another with the kiss of love. May God give his peace to you all in your union with Christ.
