۱ 1 اما درباره جمع کردن زکات برای مقدسین، چنانکه به کلیساهای غلاطیه فرمودم، شما نیز همچنین کنید.

With reference to the collection for Christ’s people, I want you to follow the instructions that I gave to the churches in Galatia.

۲ 2 در روز اول هفته، هر یکی از شما بحسب نعمتی که یافته باشد، نزد خود ذخیره کرده، بگذارد تا در وقت آمدن من زحمت جمع کردن نباشد.

On the first day of every week each of you should put by what he can afford, so that no collections need be made after I have come.

۳ 3 و چون برسم، آنانی را که اختیار کنید با مکتوبها خواهم فرستاد تا احسان شما را به اورشلیم ببرند.

On my arrival, I will send any persons, whom you may authorise by letter, to carry your gift to Jerusalem;

۴ 4 و اگرمصلحت باشد که من نیز بروم، همراه من خواهندآمد.

and, if it appears to be worth while for me to go also, they will go with me.

۵ 5 و چون از مکادونیه عبور کنم، به نزد شماخواهم آمد، زیرا که از مکادنیه عبور می‌کنم،

I will come to you as soon as I have been through Macedonia – for I am going through Macedonia –

۶ 6 واحتمال دارد که نزد شما بمانم بلکه زمستان را نیزبسر برم تا هرجایی که بروم، شما مرا مشایعت کنید.

And I will probably make some stay with you or, perhaps, remain for the winter, so that you may yourselves send me on my way, wherever I may be going.

۷ 7 زیرا که الان اراده ندارم در بین راه شما راملاقات کنم، چونکه امیدوارم مدتی با شما توقف نمایم، اگر خداوند اجازت دهد.

I do not propose to pay you a visit in passing now, for I hope to stay with you for some time, if the Lord permits.

۸ 8 لیکن من تاپنطیکاست در افسس خواهم ماند،

I intend, however, staying at Ephesus until the Festival at the close of the Harvest;

۹ 9 زیرا که دروازه بزرگ و کارساز برای من باز شد و معاندین، بسیارند.

for a great opening for active work has presented itself, and there are many opponents.

۱۰ 10 لیکن اگر تیموتاوس آید، آگاه باشیدکه نزد شما بی‌ترس باشد، زیرا که در کار خداوندمشغول است چنانکه من نیز هستم.

If Timothy comes, take care that he has no cause for feeling anxious while he is with you. He is doing the Master’s work no less than I am.

۱۱ 11 لهذاهیچ‌کس او را حقیر نشمارد، بلکه او را به سلامتی مشایعت کنید تا نزد من آید زیرا که او را با برادران انتظار می‌کشم.

No one, therefore, should slight him. See him safely on his way to me, for I am expecting him with some of our friends.

۱۲ 12 اما درباره اپلس برادر، از اوبسیار درخواست نمودم که با برادران به نزد شمابیاید، لیکن هرگز رضا نداد که الحال بیاید ولی چون فرصت یابد خواهد آمد.

As for our friend Apollos, I have often urged him to go to you with the others. He has, however, been very unwilling to do so as yet; but he will go as soon as he finds a good opportunity.

۱۳ 13 بیدار شوید، در ایمان استوار باشید و مردان باشید و زورآور شوید.

Be watchful; stand firm in your faith; be brave; be strong.

۱۴ 14 جمیع کارهای شما با محبت باشد.

Let everything you do be done in a loving spirit.

۱۵ 15 و‌ای برادران به شماالتماس دارم (شما خانواده استیفان را می‌شناسیدکه نوبر اخائیه هستند و خویشتن را به خدمت مقدسین سپرده اند)،

I have another request to make of you, friends. You remember Stephanas and his household, and that they were the first-fruits gathered in from Greece, and set themselves to serve Christ’s people.

۱۶ 16 تا شما نیز چنین اشخاص را اطاعت کنید و هرکس را که در کار و زحمت شریک باشد.

I want you, on your part, to show deference to such people as these, as well as to every fellow labourer and earnest worker.

۱۷ 17 و از آمدن استفان و فرتوناتس واخائیکوس مرا شادی رخ نمود زیرا که آنچه ازجانب شما ناتمام بود، ایشان تمام کردند.

I am glad Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus have come, for they have made up for your absence;

۱۸ 18 چونکه روح من و شما را تازه کردند. پس چنین اشخاص را بشناسید.

they have cheered my heart, and your hearts also. Recognise the worth of such people as these.

۱۹ 19 کلیساهای آسیا به شما سلام می‌رسانند واکیلا و پرسکلا با کلیسایی که در خانه ایشانند، به شما سلام بسیار در خداوند می‌رسانند.

The churches in Roman Asia send you their greetings. Aquila and Prisca and the church that meets at their house send you many Christian greetings.

۲۰ 20 همه برادران شما را سلام می‌رسانند. یکدیگر را به بوسه مقدسانه سلام رسانید.

All of the Lord’s followers send you greetings. Greet one another with a sacred kiss.

۲۱ 21 من پولس ازدست خود سلام می‌رسانم.

I, Paul, add this greeting in my own handwriting.

۲۲ 22 اگر کسی عیسی مسیح خداوند را دوست ندارد، اناتیما باد. ماران اتا.

Accursed be anyone who has no love for the Lord. THE LORD IS COMING.

۲۳ 23 فیض عیسی مسیح خداوند با شما باد.

May the blessing of the Lord Jesus be with you.

۲۴ 24 محبت من با همه شما در مسیح عیسی باد، آمین.
