اول تواریخ 15

۱ 1 و داود در شهر خود خانه ها بنا کرد و مکاني براي تابوت خدا فراهم ساخته، خيمه اي به جهت آن برپا نمود.

And he made him houses, in the city of David, —and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.

۲ 2 آنگاه داود فرمود که غير از لاويان کسي تابوت خدا را برندارد زيرا خداوند ايشان را برگزيده بود تا تابوت خدا بردارند و او را هميشه خدمت نمايند.

Then, said David, None must carry the ark of God, save the Levites, —for, of them, did Yahweh make choice, to bear the ark of Yahweh, and to attend it, unto times age-abiding.

۳ 3 و داود تمامي اسرائيل را در اورشليم جمع کرد تا تابوت خداوند را به مکاني که برايش مهيا ساخته بود، بياورند.

So David convoked all Israel, unto Jerusalem, —to bring up the ark of Yahweh, unto the place thereof, which he had prepared for it.

۴ 4 و داود پسران هارون و لاويان را جمع کرد.

And David gathered together the sons of Aaron, and the Levites:

۵ 5 از بني قَهات اُوريئيلِ رئيس وصد بيست نفر برادرانش را.

Of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and his brethren, one hundred and twenty;

۶ 6 از بني مَراري، عَساياي رئيس ودوست بيست نفر برادرانش را.

of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and his brethren, two hundred and twenty;

۷ 7 از بني جَرشُوم، يوئيل رئيس و صد وسي نفر برادرانش را.

of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and his brethren, one hundred and thirty;

۸ 8 از بني اليصافان، شَمَعياي رئيس و دوست نفر برادرانش را.

of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren, two hundred;

۹ 9 از بني حَبرُون، اِيلِيئيل رئيس و هشتاد نفر برادرانش را.

of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and his brethren, eighty;

۱۰ 10 از بني عُزّيئيل، عَمِّيناداب رئيس وصد و دوازده نفر برادرانش را.

of the son of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, and his brethren, a hundred and twelve.

۱۱ 11 و داود صادوق و ابياتارِکَهَنَه و لاويان يعني اُرِيئيل و عَسايا و يوئيل و شَمَعيا و اِيليئيل و عَمِّيناداب را خوانده،

Then called David, for Zadok and for Abiathar, the priests, —and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah and Joel, Shemaiah and Eliel, and Amminadab;

۱۲ 12 به ايشان گفت: «شما رؤساي خاندانهاي آباي لاويان هستيد؛ پس شما و برادران شما خويشتن را تقديس نماييد تا تابوت يهُوَه خداي اسرائيل را به مکاني که برايش مهيا ساخته ام بياوريد.

and said unto them, Ye, are the chiefs of the fathers of the Levites, —Hallow yourselves, ye and your brethren, so shall ye bring up the ark of Yahweh—God of Israel, into [the place] I have prepared for it.

۱۳ 13 زيرا از اين سبب که شما دفعه اول آن را نياورديد، يهُوَه خداي ما بر ما رخنه کرد، چونکه او را بر حسب قانون نطلبيديم.»

Because, at the first, ye, did not [bring it], Yahweh our God brake forth against us, because we sought him not in the appointed way.

۱۴ 14 پس کاهنان و لاويان خويشتن را تقديس نمودند تا تابوت يهُوَه خداي اسرائيل را بياورند.

So the priests and the Levites hallowed themselves, —to bring up the ark of Yahweh, God of Israel.

۱۵ 15 و پسران لاويان بر وفق آنچه موسي بر حسب کلام خداوند امر فرموده بود، چوب دستيهاي تابوت خدا را بر کتفهاي خود گذاشته، آن را برداشتند.

And the sons of the Levites bare the ark of God, just as Moses commanded, according to the word of Yahweh, —on their shoulder, with the staves upon them.

۱۶ 16 و داود رؤساي لاويان را فرمود تا برادران خود مغنيان را با آلات موسيقي از عودها و بربطها سنجها تعين نمايند، تا به آواز بلند و شادماني صدا زنند.

And David spake to the chiefs of the Levites, to station their brethren the singers, with instruments of song, harps and lyres, and cymbals, —sounding aloud at the lifting up of the voice, for joy.

۱۷ 17 پس لاويان هِيمان بن يوئيل و از برادران او آساف بن بَرَکيا و از برادران ايشان بني مَراري ايتان بن قُوشيا را تعيين نمودند.

So the Levites caused to stand, Heman son of Joel, and, of his brethren, Asaph, son of Berechiah, —and, of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan, son of Kushaiah;

۱۸ 18 و با ايشان از برادران درجه دوم خود: زکريا و بَين و يعريئيل شَميراموت و يحيئيل و عُنِّي و اَلِيآب و بنايا و مَعَسيا و مَتِّتيا و اَليفَليا و مَقَنيا و عُوبيد اَدُوم و يعِيئِيل دربانان را.

and, with them, their brethren of the second degree, —Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mickneiah, and Obed-edom and Jeiel, the door-keepers.

۱۹ 19 و از مغنيان: هِيمان و آساف و ايتان را با سنجهاي برنجين تا بنوازند.

And, the singers, Heman, Asaph and Ethan, with cymbals of bronze, were to sound aloud;

۲۰ 20 و زَکرّيا و عَزِيئيل و شَميراموت و يحيئيل و عُنِّي و اَليآب و مَعَسيا و بنايا را با عودها بر آلاموت.

and Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah and Benaiah, —with harps, over the trebles;

۲۱ 21 و مَتَّتيا و اَليفَليا و مَقَنيا و عُوبيد اَدُوم و يعِيئيل و عَزَريا را با بربطهاي بر ثَمانِي تا پيشرَوِي نمايند.

and Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel and Azaziah, —with lyres over the bass, to take the lead.

۲۲ 22 و کَنَنيا رئيس لاويان بر نغمات بود و مغنّيان را تعليم مي داد زيرا که ماهر بود.

And, Chenaniah the leader of the Levites, in the service, used to give instructions in the service, because skilful was he.

۲۳ 23 و بَرَکيا و اَلقانَه دربانان تابوت بودند.

And, Berechiah and Elkanah, were door-keepers to the ark.

۲۴ 24 و شَبَنيا و يوشافاط و نَتَنئيل و عَماساي و زَکريا و بَنايا و اَلَيعَزَر کَهَنَه پيش تابوت خدا کرنا مي نواختند، و عوبيد اَدُوم و يحيي دربانانِ تابوت بودند.

And, Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, were blowing with the trumpets, before the ark of God, —and, Obed-edom and Jehiah, were door-keepers, to the ark.

۲۵ 25 و داود و مشايخ اسرائيل و سرداران هزاره رفتند تا تابوت عهد خداوند را از خانه عوبيد اَدُوم با شادماني بياورند.

Thus, it was, David and the elders of Israel, and the rulers of thousands, who were going, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, out of the house of Obed-edom, with joy.

۲۶ 26 و چون خدا لاويان را که تابوت عهد خداوند را برمي داشتند اعانت کرد، ايشان هفت گاو و هفت قوچ ذبح کردند.

And so it was that, when God helped the Levites, who were bearing the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, they sacrificed seven bullocks and seven rams.

۲۷ 27 و داود و جميع لاوياني که تابوت را برمي داشتند و مغنيان و کَنَنيا که رئيس نغمات مغنيان بود به کتان نازک ملبس بودند، و داود ايفود کتان دربرداشت.

Now, David, was wrapped about with a robe of byssus, with all the Levites who were bearing the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the leader of the service rendered by the singers, —but, upon David, was an ephod of white linen.

۲۸ 28 و تمامي اسرائيل تابوت عهد خداوند را به آواز شادماني و آواز بوق و کرّنا و سنج و عود و بربط مي نواختند.

So, all Israel, were bringing up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, with shouting, and with sound of the horn, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, —sounding aloud, with harps, and lyres.

۲۹ 29 و چون تابوت عهد خداوند وارد شهر داود مي شد، ميکال دختر شاؤل از پنجره نگريست و داود پادشاه را ديد که رقص و وجد مي نمايد، او را در دل خود خوار شمرد.

And so it was that, when the ark of the covenant of Yahweh came in as far as the city of David, —and Michal daughter of Saul looked forth through the window, and saw King David, dancing and playing, that she despised him in her heart.
