اول تواریخ 12

۱ 1 و اينانند که نزد داود به صِقلَغ آمدند، هنگامي که او هنوز از ترس شاؤل بن قَيس گرفتار بود، و ايشان از آن شجاعان بودند که در جنگ معاون او بودند.

Now these [are] they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they [were] among the mighty men, helpers of the war.

۲ 2 و به کمان مسلح بودند و سنگها و تيرها از کمانها از دست راست و دست چپ مي انداختند و از برادران شاؤل بنياميني بودند.

[They were] armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in [hurling] stones, and [shooting] arrows from a bow, [even] of Saul's brethren of Benjamin.

۳ 3 سردار ايشان اَخيعَزَر بود، و بعد از او يوآش پسران شَماعَه جِبعاتي و يزيئيل و فالَط پسران عَزمُوت و بَراکَه و ييهُوي عناتوتي،

The chief [was] Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite,

۴ 4 و يشمَعياي جِبعُوني که در ميان آن سي نفر شجاع بود، و بر آن سي نفر برتري داشت و اِرميا و يحزيئيل و يوحانان و يوزابادِ جَديراتي،

And Ismaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite,

۵ 5 و اَلعُوزاي و يريموت وبَعلِيا و شَمَريا و شَفَطياي حَرُوفي،

Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,

۶ 6 و اَلقانَه و يشَيا و عَزَرئيل و يوعَزَر و يشُبعام که از قُورَحيان بودند،

Elkanah, and Jesiah, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korhites.

۷ 7 ويوعيلَه و زَبديا پسران يرُوحام جَدوري.

And Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.

۸ 8 و بعضي از جاديان که مردان قوي شجاع و مردان جنگ آزموده و مسلح به سپر و تيراندازان که روي ايشان مثل روي شير و مانند غزال کوهي تيزرو بودند، خوشتن را نزد داود در ملاذ بيابان جدا ساختند،

And of the Gadites there separated themselves to David in the hold in the wilderness men of might, [and] men of war [fit] for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces [were like] the faces of lions, and [were] as swift as the roes upon the mountains;

۹ 9 که رئيس ايشان عازَر و دومين عُوبَديا و سومين اَلِيآب بود،

Ezer the first, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,

۱۰ 10 و چهارمين مِشمَنَّه و پنجمين اِرميا،

Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,

۱۱ 11 و ششم عَتّاي و هفتم اَلِيئيل،

Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,

۱۲ 12 و هشتم يوحانان و نهم اَلزاباد،

Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,

۱۳ 13 و دهم اِرميا و يازدهم مَکبَنَّاي.

Jeremiah the tenth, Machbanai the eleventh.

۱۴ 14 اينان از بني جاد رؤساي لشکر بودند که کوچکتر ايشان برابر صد نفر و بزرگتر برابر هزار نفر مي بود.

These [were] of the sons of Gad, captains of the host: one of the least [was] over a hundred, and the greatest over a thousand.

۱۵ 15 اينانند که در ماه اول از اُردُن عبور نمودند هنگامي که آن از تمامي حدودش سيلان کرده بود و جميع ساکنان و اديها را هم به طرف مشرق و هم به طرف مغرب منهزم ساختند.

These [are] they that went over Jordan in the first month, when it had overflowed all its banks; and they put to flight all [them] of the valleys, [both] towards the east, and towards the west.

۱۶ 16 و بعضي از بني بنيامين و يهودا نزد داود به آن ملاذ آمدند.

And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold to David.

۱۷ 17 داود به استقبال ايشان بيرون آمده، ايشان را خطاب کرده، گفت: « اگر با سلامتي براي اعانت من نزد من آمديد، دل من با شما ملصق خواهد شد؛ و اگر براي تسليم نمودن من به دست دشمنانم آمديد، با آنکه ظلمي در دست من نيست، پس خداي پدران ما اين را ببيند و انصاف نمايد.»

And David went out to meet them, and answered and said to them, If ye have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart shall be knit to you: but if [ye have come] to betray me to my enemies, seeing [there is] no wrong in my hands, the God of our fathers look [on it], and rebuke [it].

۱۸ 18 آنگاه روح بر عماساي که رئيس شلاشيم بود نازل شد (و او گفت): « اي داود ما از آن تو و اي پسر يسي ما با تو هستيم؛ سلامتي، سلامتي بر تو باد، و سلامتي بر انصار تو باد زيرا خداي تو نصرت دهنده تو است.» پس داود ايشان را پذيرفته، سرداران لشکر ساخت.

Then the spirit came upon Amasai, [who was] chief of the captains, [and he said], Thine [are we], David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace [be] to thee, and peace [be] to thy helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.

۱۹ 19 و بعضي از مَنَّسي به داود ملحق شدند هنگامي که او همراه فلسطينيان براي مقاتله با شاؤل مي رفت؛ اما ايشان را مدد نکردند زيرا که سرداران فلسطينيان بعد از مشورت نمودن، او را پس فرستاده، گفتند که: « او با سرهاي ما به آقاي خود شاؤل ملحق خواهد شد.»

And there fell [some] of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to [the jeopardy of] our heads.

۲۰ 20 و هنگامي که به صِقلَغ مي رفت، بعضي از مَنَّسي به او پيوستند يعني عَدناح و يوزاباد و يدِيعَئيل و ميکائيل و يوزاباد و اَلِيهُو و صِلتاي که سرداران هزارهاي مَنَّسي بودند.

And as he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that [were] of Manasseh.

۲۱ 21 ايشان داود را به مقاومت فوجهاي (عَمالَقه) مدد کردند، زيرا جميع ايشان مردان قوي شجاع و سردار لشکر بودند.

And they helped David against the band [of the rovers]: for they [were] all mighty men of valor, and were captains in the host.

۲۲ 22 زيرا در آن وقت، روز به روز براي اعانت داود نزد وي مي آمدند تا لشکرِ بزرگ، مثل لشکر خدا شد.

For at [that] time day by day there came to David to help him, until [it was] a great host, like the host of God.

۲۳ 23 و اين است شماره افراد آناني که براي جنگ مسلح شده، نزد داود به حَبرُون آمدند تا سلطنت شاؤل را بر حسب فرمان خداوند به وي تحويل نمايند.

And these [are] the numbers of the bands [that were] ready armed to the war, [and] came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.

۲۴ 24 از بني يهودا شش هزار و هشتصد نفر که سپر و نيزه داشتند و مسلح جنگ بودند.

The children of Judah that bore shield and spear [were] six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed for war.

۲۵ 25 از بني شَمعون هفت هزار و يکصد نفر که مردان قوي شجاع براي جنگ بودند.

Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valor for war, seven thousand and one hundred.

۲۶ 26 از بني لاوي چهار هزار و ششصد نفر.

Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.

۲۷ 27 و يهُوياداع رئيس بني هارون و سه هزار و هفتصد نفر همراه وي.

And Jehoiada [was] the leader of the Aaronites, and with him [were] three thousand and seven hundred;

۲۸ 28 و صادوق که جوان قوي و شجاع بود با بيست ودو سردار از خاندان پدرش.

And Zadok, a young man mighty of valor, and of his father's house twenty and two captains.

۲۹ 29 و از بني بنيامين سه هزار نفر از برادران شاؤل و تا آن وقت اکثر ايشان وفاي خاندان شاؤل را نگاه مي داشتند.

And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept the ward of the house of Saul.

۳۰ 30 و از بني افرايم بيست هزار و هشتصد نفر که مردان قوي و شجاع و در خاندان پدران خويش نامور بودند.

And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valor, famous throughout the house of their fathers.

۳۱ 31 و از نصف سبط مَنَّسي هجده هزار نفر که به نامهاي خود تعيين شده بودند که بيايند و داود را به پادشاهي نصب نمايند.

And of the half tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, who were expressed by name, to come and make David king.

۳۲ 32 و از بني يسّاکار کساني که از زمانها مخبر شده، مي فهميدند که اسرائيليان چه بايد بکنند، سرداران ايشان دوست نفر و جميع برادران ايشان فرمان بردار ايشان بودند.

And of the children of Issachar, [who were men] that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them [were] two hundred; and all their brethren [were] at their command.

۳۳ 33 و از زبولون پنجاه هزار نفر که با لشکر بيرون رفته، مي توانستند جنگ را با همه آلات حرب بيارايند و صف آرايي کنند و دو دل نبودند.

Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments of war, fifty thousand, who could keep rank: [they were] not of double heart.

۳۴ 34 و از نَفتالي هزار سردار و با ايشان سي و هفت هزار نفر با سپر و نيزه.

And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.

۳۵ 35 و از بني دان بيست و هشت هزار و ششصد نفر براي جنگ مهيا شدند.

And of the Danites expert in war twenty and eight thousand and six hundred.

۳۶ 36 و از اَشِير چهل هزار نفر که با لشکر بيرون رفته، مي توانستند جنگ را مهيا سازند.

And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand.

۳۷ 37 و از آن طرف اُردُن از بني جاد و نصف سبط مَنَّسي صد و بيست هزار نفر که با جميع آلات لشکر براي جنگ (مهيا شدند).

And on the other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, a hundred and twenty thousand.

۳۸ 38 جميع اينها مردان جنگي بودند که بر صف آرائي قادر بودند با دل کامل به حَبرُون آمدند تا داود را بر تمامي اسرائيل به پادشاهي نصب نمايند، و تمامي بقيه اسرائيل نيز براي پادشاه ساختن داود يک دل بودند.

All these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel [were] of one heart to make David king.

۳۹ 39 و در آنجا با داود سه روز اکل و شرب نمودند زيرا که برادران ايشان به جهت ايشان تدارک ديده بودند.

And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.

۴۰ 40 و مجاوران ايشان نيز تا يسّاکار و زبولون و نَفتالي نان بر الاغها و شتران و قاطران و گاوان آوردند و مأکولات از آرد و قرصهاي انجير و کشمش و شراب و روغن و گاوان و گوسفندان به فراواني آوردند چونکه در اسرائيل شادماني بود.

Moreover, they that were nigh them, [even] to Issachar, and Zebulun, and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, [and] provision, meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep abundantly: for [there was] joy in Israel.
