| و تمامي اسرائيل نزد داود در حَبرُون جمع شده، گفتند: « اينک ما استخوانها و گوشت تو مي باشيم. | ۱ 1 |
Then all Israel gathered themselves to David unto Hebron, saying: 'Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.
| و قبل از اين نيز هنگامي که شاؤل پادشاه مي بود، تو اسرائيل را بيرون مي بردي و درون مي آوردي؛ و يهُوَه خدايت تو را گفت که: تو قوم من اسرائيل را شباني خواهي نمود و تو بر قوم من اسرائيل پيشوا خواهي شد.» | ۲ 2 |
In times past, even when Saul was king, it was thou that didst lead out and bring in Israel; and the LORD thy God said unto thee: Thou shalt feed My people Israel, and thou shalt be prince over My people Israel.'
| و جميع مشايخ اسرائيل نزد پادشاه به حَبرُون آمدند و داود با ايشان به حضور خداوند در حَبرُون عهد بست، و داود را بر حسب کلامي که خداوند به واسطه سموئيل گفته بود به پادشاهي اسرائيل مسح نمودند. | ۳ 3 |
So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Samuel.
| و داود و تمامي اسرائيل به اورشليم که يبُوس باشد، آمدند و يبُوسيان در آن زمين ساکن بودند. | ۴ 4 |
And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem — the same is Jebus — and the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, were there.
| و اهل يبُوس به داود گفتند: « به اينجا داخل نخواهي شد.» اما داود قلعه صَهيون را که شهر داود باشد بگرفت. | ۵ 5 |
And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David: 'Thou shalt not come in hither.' Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion; the same is the city of David.
| و داود گفت: « هر که يبُوسيان را اول مغلوب سازد، رئيس و سردار خواهد شد.» پس يوآب بن صَرُويه اول بر آمد و رئيس شد. | ۶ 6 |
And David said: 'Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain.' And Joab the son of Zeruiah went up first, and was made chief.
| و داود در آن قلعه ساکن شد، از آن جهت آن را شهر داود ناميدند. | ۷ 7 |
And David dwelt in the stronghold; therefore they called it the city of David.
| و شهر را به اطراف آن و گرداگرد مِلُّوه بنا کرد و يوآب باقي شهر را تعمير نمود. | ۸ 8 |
And he built the city round about, from Millo even round about; and Joab repaired the rest of the city.
| و داود ترقي کرده، بزرگ مي شد و يهُوَه صبايوت با وي مي بود. | ۹ 9 |
And David waxed greater and greater; for the LORD of hosts was with him.
| و اينانند رؤساي شجاعاني که داود داشت که با تمامي اسرائيل او را در سلطنتش تقويت دادند تا او را بر حسب کلامي که خداوند درباره اسرائيل گفته بود پادشاه سازد. | ۱۰ 10 |
Now these are the chief of the mighty men whom David had, who held strongly with him in his kingdom, together with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.
| و عدد شجاعاني که داود داشت اين است: يشُبعام بن حَکوُني که سردار شليشيم بود که بر سيصد نفر نيزه خود را حرکت داد و ايشان را در يک وقت کشت. | ۱۱ 11 |
And this is the number of the mighty men whom David had: Jashobeam, the son of a Hachmonite, the chief of the captains; he lifted up his spear against three hundred and slew them at one time.
| و بعد از او اَلِعازار بن دُودُوي اَخُوخي که يکي از آن سه شجاع بود. | ۱۲ 12 |
And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighty men.
| او با داود در فَسدَمِيم بود وقتي که فلسطينيان در آنجا براي جنگ جمع شده بودند، و قطعه زمين پُر از جو بود، و قوم از حضور فلسطينيان فرار مي کردند. | ۱۳ 13 |
He was with David at Pas-dammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where was a plot of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines.
| و ايشان در ميان آن قطعه زمين ايستاده، آن را محافظت نمودند، و فلسطينيان را شکست دادند و خداوند نصرت عظيمي به ايشان داد. | ۱۴ 14 |
But they stood in the midst of the plot, and defended it, and slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved them by a great victory.
| و سه نفر از آن سي سردار به صخره نزد داود به مغاره عَدُلاّم فرود شدند و لشکر فلسطينيان در وادي رفائيم اردو زده بودند. | ۱۵ 15 |
And three of the thirty chiefs went down to the rock to David, unto the cave of Adullam; and the host of the Philistines were encamped in the valley of Rephaim.
| و داود در آن وقت در ملاذ خويش بود، و قراول فلسطينيان آن وقت در بيت لحم بودند. | ۱۶ 16 |
And David was then in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Beth-lehem.
| و داود خواهش نموده، گفت: « کاش کسي مرا از آب چاهي که نزد دروازه بيت لحم است بنوشاند.» | ۱۷ 17 |
And David longed, and said: 'Oh that one would give me water to drink of the well of Beth-lehem, which is by the gate!'
| پس آن سه مرد، لشکر فلسطينيان را از ميان شکافته، آب را از چاهي که نزد دروازه بيت لحم است کشيده، برداشتند و آن را نزد داود آوردند؛ اما داود نخواست که آن را بنوشد و آن را به جهت خداوند بريخت، | ۱۸ 18 |
And the three broke through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Beth-lehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David; but David would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD,
| و گفت: « اي خداوند من حاشا از من که اين کار را بکنم! آيا خون اين مردان را بنوشم که جان خود را به خطر انداختند زيرا به خطر جان خود آن را آوردند؟» پس نخواست که آن را بنوشد؛ کاري که اين سه مرد شجاع کردند اين است. | ۱۹ 19 |
and said: 'My God forbid it me, that I should do this; shall I drink the blood of these men that have put their lives in jeopardy? for with the jeopardy of their lives they brought it.' Therefore he would not drink it. These things did the three mighty men.
| و اَبِيشاي برادر يوآب سردار آن سه نفر بود و او نيز نيزه خود را بر سيصد نفر حرکت داده، ايشان را کشت و در ميان آن سه نفر اسم يافت. | ۲۰ 20 |
And Abishai, the brother of Joab, he was chief of the three; for he lifted up his spear against three hundred and slew them, and had a name among the three.
| در ميان آن سه نفر از دو مکرّم تر بود؛ پس سردار ايشان شد، ليکن به سه نفر اول نرسيد. | ۲۱ 21 |
Of the three in the second rank he was the most honourable, and was made their captain; howbeit he attained not to the first three.
| و بنايا ابن يهُوياداع پسر مردي شجاع قَبصيئيلي بود که کارهاي عظيم کرده بود، و پسر اَرِيئيل موآبي را کشت و در روز برف به حفره اي فرود شده، شيري را کشت. | ۲۲ 22 |
Beniah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done mighty deeds, he smote the two altar-hearths of Moab; he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow.
| و مرد مصري بلند قد را که قامت او پنج ذارع بود کشت، و آن مصري در دست خود نيزه اي مثل نورد نساجان داشت؛ اما او نزد وي با چوب دستي رفت و نيزه را از دست مصري ربوده، وي را با نيزه خودش کشت. | ۲۳ 23 |
And he slew an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits high; and in the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.
| بنايا ابن يهُوياداع اين کارها را کرد و در ميان آن سه مرد شجاع اسم يافت. | ۲۴ 24 |
These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had a name among the three mighty men.
| اينک اواز آن سي نفر مکرّم تر شد، ليکن به آن سه نفر اول نرسيد و داود او را بر اهل مشورت خود برگماشت. | ۲۵ 25 |
Behold, he was more honourable than the thirty, but he attained not to the first three; and David set him over his guard.
| و نيز از شجاعان لشکر، عسائيل برادر يوآب و اَلحانان بن دُودُوي بيت لحمي، | ۲۶ 26 |
Also the mighty men of valour: Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Beth-lehem;
| و شَمُّوتِ هَرُورِي وحالَصِ فَلُوني، | ۲۷ 27 |
Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite;
| و عيرا ابن عِقّيشِ تَقُوعي و اَبيعَزَر عَناتُوتي، | ۲۸ 28 |
Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Anathothite;
| و سِبکاي حُوشاتي و عيلاي اَخُوخي، | ۲۹ 29 |
Sibbecai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite;
| و مَهراي نَطُوفاتِي و خالَد بن بَعَنَه نَطُوفاتِي، | ۳۰ 30 |
Mahrai the Netophathite, Heled the son of Baanah the Netophathite;
| و اِتّاي ابن ريباي از جِبعه بني بنيامين و بناياي فَرعاتُونِي، | ۳۱ 31 |
Ithai the son of Ribai of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite;
| و حُوراي از واديهاي جاعَش و اَبيئيلِ عَرُباتِي، | ۳۲ 32 |
Hurai of Nahale-gaash, Abiel the Arbathite;
| و عَزموتِ بَحرُومي و اَيحَباي شَعَلبُونِي. | ۳۳ 33 |
Azmaveth the Baharumite, Eliahba the Shaalbonite;
| و از بني هاشَمِ جِزُوني يوناتان بن شاجاي هَراري، | ۳۴ 34 |
the sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shageh the Hararite;
| و اَخيام بن ساکارِ هَراري و اليفال بن اُور، | ۳۵ 35 |
Ahiam the son of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the son of Ur;
| و حافَر مَکيراتي و اَخِياي فَلوني، | ۳۶ 36 |
Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahijah the Pelonite;
| و حَصرُوي کَرمَلي و نَعراي ابن اَزباي. | ۳۷ 37 |
Hezro the Carmelite, Naarai the son of Ezbai;
| و يوئيل برادر ناتان و مَبحار بن هَجرِي، | ۳۸ 38 |
Joel the brother of Nathan, Mibhar the son of Hagri;
| و صالَقِ عَمُّوني ونحراي بِيرُوتي که سلاحدار يوآب بن صَرُويه بود. | ۳۹ 39 |
Zelek the Ammonite, Nahrai the Berothite, the armour-bearer of Joab the son of Zeruiah;
| و عيراي يترِي و جارَبِ يترِي، | ۴۰ 40 |
Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite;
| و اُورياي حِتِّي و زاباد بن اَحلاي، | ۴۱ 41 |
Uriah the Hittite, Zabad the son of Ahlai;
| و عَدينا ابن شيزاي رؤبيني که سردار رؤبينيان بود و سي نفر همراهش بودند. | ۴۲ 42 |
Adina the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a chief of the Reubenites, and thirty with him;
| و حانان بن مَعکَه و يوشافاط مِتنِي، | ۴۳ 43 |
Hanan the son of Maacah, and Joshaphat the Mithnite;
| و عُزّياي عَشتَرُوتِي و شاماع و يعُوئيل پسران حُوتامِ عَرُوعِيرِي، | ۴۴ 44 |
Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Jeiel the sons of Hotham the Aroerite;
| و يدِيعيئيل بن شِمرِي و برادرش يوخاي تِيصي، | ۴۵ 45 |
Jediael the son of Shimri, and Joha his brother, the Tizite;
| و اَلِيئيل از مَحُويم و يربياي يو شُويا پسران اَلناعَم و يتمَه موآبي، | ۴۶ 46 |
Eliel the Mahavite, and Jeribai, and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite;
| و اَليئيل و عَوبيد و يعسِيئيلِ مَصُوباتي. | ۴۷ 47 |
Eliel, and Obed, and Jaasiel the Mezobaite.
