ਅੱਯੂਬ 23

1 ੧ ਤਦ ਅੱਯੂਬ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ,

Bvt Iob answered and sayd,

2 ੨ “ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੌਂਕਿਆ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਹੈ।

Though my talke be this day in bitternes, and my plague greater then my groning,

3 ੩ ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਲੱਭਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਬਿਰਾਜਣ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ!

Would God yet I knew how to finde him, I would enter vnto his place.

4 ੪ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੁਕੱਦਮਾ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਦਲੀਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਦਾ!

I would pleade the cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.

5 ੫ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਆਖਦਾ।

I would knowe the wordes, that he would answere me, and would vnderstand what he would say vnto me.

6 ੬ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਦਾ? ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰਦਾ।

Would he plead against me with his great power? No, but he would put strength in me.

7 ੭ ਉੱਥੇ ਨੇਕ ਜਨ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਦ-ਵਿਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿਆਈਂ ਤੋਂ ਛੁਡਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ।

There the righteous might reason with him, so I shoulde be deliuered for euer from my Iudge.

8 ੮ “ਵੇਖੋ, ਮੈਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਅਤੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ,

Behold, if I go to the East, he is not there: if to the West, yet I can not perceiue him:

9 ੯ ਅਤੇ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਵੱਲ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਉਹ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ।

If to the North where he worketh, yet I cannot see him: he wil hide himselfe in the South, and I cannot beholde him.

10 ੧੦ ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤਾਅ ਲਵੇਂ ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਸੋਨੇ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਨਿੱਕਲਾਂਗਾ।

But he knoweth my way, and trieth mee, and I shall come forth like the gold.

11 ੧੧ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੈਰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕਦਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ-ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚਲੇ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਨਾ ਪਿਆ।

My foote hath followed his steps: his way haue I kept, and haue not declined.

12 ੧੨ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਨਾ ਹਟਿਆ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਦਿਆਂ ਵਾਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਭੋਜਨ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਕਦਰ ਕੀਤੀ।

Neyther haue I departed from the commandement of his lippes, and I haue esteemed the words of his mouth more then mine appointed foode.

13 ੧੩ “ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਇੱਕੋ ਗੱਲ ਤੇ ਸਥਿਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਣ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੋੜ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਜੀ ਚਾਹੇ ਸੋ ਉਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,

Yet he is in one minde, and who can turne him? yea, he doeth what his minde desireth.

14 ੧੪ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਹੋਰ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਹਨ।

For he will performe that, which is decreed of me, and many such things are with him.

15 ੧੫ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਭੈਅ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਡਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

Therefore I am troubled at his presence, and in considering it, I am afraid of him.

16 ੧੬ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਘਬਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

For God hath softened mine heart, and the Almightie hath troubled me.

17 ੧੭ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਘੁੱਪ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।”

For I am not cut off in darknesse, but he hath hid the darkenesse from my face.
