ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ 36
1 ੧ ਤਦ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਯੋਸ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੇ ਚੌਥੇ ਸਾਲ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ
It happened in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, that this word came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
2 ੨ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਲਪੇਟਵੀਂ ਪੱਤ੍ਰੀ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਯੋਸ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਆਖੀਆਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖ ਲੈ
"Take a scroll, and write on it all the words that I have spoken to you against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spoke to you, from the days of Josiah, even to this day.
3 ੩ ਕੀ ਜਾਣੀਏ ਕਿ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਉਸ ਸਾਰੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਦਾ ਮਤਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਸੁਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੜੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦੇਵਾਂ
It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do to them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin."
4 ੪ ਤਾਂ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਨੇਰੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਲਪੇਟਵੀਂ ਪੱਤ੍ਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖ ਲਈਆਂ
Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah; and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken to him, on a scroll.
Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, "I am shut up; I can't go into the house of the LORD:
6 ੬ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਉਸ ਲਪੇਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਰਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਣਾ, ਨਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾ
therefore you go, and read from the scroll, which you have written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD's house on the fast day; and also you shall read them in the ears of all Judah who come out of their cities.
7 ੭ ਕੀ ਜਾਣੀਏ ਭਈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਤਰਲਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਫਿਰੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਤੇ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਜਿਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਪਰਜਾ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ
It may be they will present their petition before the LORD, and will return everyone from his evil way; for great is the anger and the wrath that the LORD has pronounced against this people."
8 ੮ ਤਾਂ ਨੇਰੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ
Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading from the scroll the words of the LORD in the LORD's house.
9 ੯ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਯੋਸ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਨੌਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਈ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਵਰਤ ਦੀ ਡੌਂਡੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਪਿੱਟੀ
Now it happened in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the ninth month, that all the people in Jerusalem, and all the people who came from the cities of Judah to Jerusalem, proclaimed a fast before the LORD.
10 ੧੦ ਤਦ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਪੱਤ੍ਰੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਫਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਗਮਰਯਾਹ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਕੋਠੜੀ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਪਰਲੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਨੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਫਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਈਆਂ।
Then Baruch read from the scroll the words of Jeremiah in the house of the LORD, in the room of Gemariah the son of Shaphan, the scribe, in the upper court, at the entry of the New Gate of the LORD's house, in the ears of all the people.
11 ੧੧ ਜਦ ਸ਼ਾਫਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੋਤੇ ਗਮਰਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮੀਕਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਪੱਤ੍ਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ
When Micaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard from the scroll all the words of the LORD,
12 ੧੨ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਤਰ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਕੋਠੜੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਗਿਆ। ਵੇਖੋ, ਉੱਥੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਬੈਠੇ ਸਨ, ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾਮਾ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ, ਸ਼ਮਆਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਲਾਯਾਹ, ਅਕਬੋਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਲਨਾਥਾਨ, ਸ਼ਾਫਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਗਮਰਯਾਹ, ਹਨਨਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ
he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's room: and look, all the officials were sitting there, Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the officials.
13 ੧੩ ਮੀਕਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੇ ਪੱਤ੍ਰੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਨੀਂ ਸੁਣਾਈਆਂ ਸਨ
Then Micaiah declared to them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the scroll in the hearing of the people.
14 ੧੪ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੂਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਪੜਪੋਤੇ ਸ਼ਲਮਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੋਤੇ ਨਥਨਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲਪੇਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਪੱਤਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਨੀਂ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਤੁਰ ਆ। ਤਾਂ ਨੇਰੀਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਉਹ ਲਪੇਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ
Therefore all the officials sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, to Baruch, saying, "Take in your hand the scroll in which you have read in the ears of the people, and come." So Baruch the son of Neriah took the scroll in his hand, and came to them.
They said to him, "Sit down now, and read it in our ears." So Baruch read it in their ears.
16 ੧੬ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕੰਬਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਣੀਆਂ ਪੈਣਗੀਆਂ
Now it happened, when they had heard all the words, they turned in fear one toward another, and said to Baruch, "We will surely tell the king of all these words."
They asked Baruch, saying, "Tell us now, How did you write all these words at his mouth?"
18 ੧੮ ਤਾਂ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਉੱਚਰਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਸਿਆਹੀ ਨਾਲ ਪੱਤ੍ਰੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਖਦਾ ਗਿਆ
Then Baruch answered them, "He pronounced all these words to me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink on the scroll."
19 ੧੯ ਤਦ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜਾ ਤੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ, ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਕਾ ਲਓ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਜਾਣੇ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੋ!
Then the officials said to Baruch, "Go, hide, you and Jeremiah; and let no man know where you are."
20 ੨੦ ਉਹ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੋਲ ਗਏ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਲਪੇਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾਮਾ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਕੋਠੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਖਵਾ ਗਏ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ
They went in to the king into the court; but they had put the scroll in the room of Elishama the scribe; and they told all the words in the ears of the king.
21 ੨੧ ਤਾਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਲਪੇਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾਮਾ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਕੋਠੜੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ। ਯਹੂਦੀ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਨੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਨੀਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖਲੋਤੇ ਸਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ
So the king sent Jehudi to get the scroll; and he took it out of the room of Elishama the scribe. Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the officials who stood beside the king.
Now the king was sitting in the winter house in the ninth month: and there was a fire in the brazier burning before him.
23 ੨੩ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਤਿੰਨ ਚਾਰ ਕਾਂਡ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਚਾਕੂ ਨਾਲ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਅੰਗੀਠੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਐਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲਪੇਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਪੱਤਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਅੰਗੀਠੀ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਸਮ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ
It happened, when Jehudi had read three or four columns, that the king cut it with a knife, and cast it into the fire that was in the brazier, until all the scroll was consumed in the fire that was in the brazier.
24 ੨੪ ਨਾ ਉਹ ਡਰੇ, ਨਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਾੜੇ, ਨਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਟਹਿਲੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ
They were not afraid, nor tore their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants who heard all these words.
25 ੨੫ ਨਾਲੇ ਅਲਨਾਥਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਦਲਾਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਗਮਰਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਲਪੇਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਸਾੜੋ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੀ
Moreover Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the scroll; but he would not hear them.
26 ੨੬ ਤਾਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਰਹਮਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਰੀਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਰਾਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਅਬਦਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਰਾਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਅਬਦਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਲਮਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਲੈਣ ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
The king commanded Jerahmeel the king's son, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet; but the LORD hid them.
27 ੨੭ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਕਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਲਪੇਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਪੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੇ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ, ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ
Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the scroll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,
28 ੨੮ ਫਿਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਦੂਜਾ ਲਪੇਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਪੱਤਰ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪਹਿਲੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਅਗਲੇ ਲਪੇਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਜਿਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਨੇ ਸਾੜ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਹੈ ਲਿਖ
"Take again another scroll, and write on it all the former words that were in the first scroll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah has burned.
29 ੨੯ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਖ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, - ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਲਪੇਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਪੱਤਰ ਇਹ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਸਾੜ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਭਈ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਬਾਬਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਡੰਗਰ ਮੁਕਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ?
Concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah you shall say, 'Thus says the LORD: "You have burned this scroll, saying, 'Why have you written in it, saying, "The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from there man and animal?"'"
30 ੩੦ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠਣ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਲੋਥ ਦਿਨ ਦੀ ਗਰਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਪਾਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ
Therefore thus says the LORD concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah: "He shall have none to sit on the throne of David; and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.
31 ੩੧ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ, ਉਹ ਦੀ ਨਸਲ ਨੂੰ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਟਹਿਲੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ, ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੀ ਹੈ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ ਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾ ਸੁਣਿਆ।
I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring on them, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and on the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them, but they did not listen."'"
32 ੩੨ ਤਦ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਲਪੇਟਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪੱਤਰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨੇਰੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਉਸ ਪੋਥੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਜਿਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਨੇ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ।
Then Jeremiah took another scroll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah, who wrote on it at the instruction of Jeremiah all the words of the scroll which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire; and there were added besides to them many like words.
