1 ੧ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਲ ਇਹ ਹਨ, ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਾਦਾਬ ਤੇ ਅਬੀਹੂ, ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਤੇ ਈਥਾਮਾਰ

The work groups based on Aaron's descendants were these: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

2 ੨ ਪਰ ਨਾਦਾਬ ਤੇ ਅਬੀਹੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਬੇ-ਔਲਾਦ ਮਰ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਤੇ ਈਥਾਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਈ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ।

Nadab and Abihu died before their father died. They had no children, so Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests.

3 ੩ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਹੀਮਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਰਜ਼ਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਲਈ ਵੰਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ

David, together with Zadok, a descendant of Eleazar, and Ahimelech, a descendant of Ithamar, divided them into groups for their work as priests.

4 ੪ ਅਤੇ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਈਥਾਮਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਮੁਖੀਏ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਪਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੰਡੇ ਗਏ, ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੋਲ਼ਾਂ ਮੁਖੀਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਈਥਾਮਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਠ ਸਨ

There were more leading men among Eleazar's descendants than among Ithamar's descendants, so they divided Eleazar's descendants into sixteen groups. They did this by heads of clans and by Ithamar's descendants. These divisions were eight in number, corresponding to their clans.

5 ੫ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਚੀਆਂ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਵੰਡੇ ਗਏ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਾਲੇ ਈਥਾਮਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਸਨ

They divided them impartially by lot, for there were holy officials and officials of God, from both Eleazar's descendants and Ithamar's descendants.

Shemaiah son of Nethanel the scribe, a Levite, wrote down their names in the presence of the king, the officials, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the leaders of the priestly and Levite families. One clan was drawn by lot from Eleazar's descendants, and then the next would be drawn from Ithamar's descendants.

7 ੭ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਰਚੀ ਯਹੋਯਾਰੀਬ ਦੀ ਨਿੱਕਲੀ, ਦੂਜੀ ਯਦਾਯਾਹ ਦੀ,

The first lot went to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,

8 ੮ ਤੀਸਰੀ ਹਾਰੀਮ ਦੀ, ਚੌਥੀ ਸਓਰੀਮ ਦੀ,

the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,

9 ੯ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਮਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੀ, ਛੇਵੀਂ ਮੀਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੀ,

the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,

10 ੧੦ ਸੱਤਵੀਂ ਹਕੋਸ ਦੀ, ਅੱਠਵੀਂ ਅਬਿਯਾਹ ਦੀ,

the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,

11 ੧੧ ਨੌਵੀਂ ਯੇਸ਼ੂਆ ਦੀ, ਦਸਵੀਂ ਸ਼ਕਨਯਾਹ ਦੀ

the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,

12 ੧੨ ਗਿਆਰਵੀਂ ਅਲਯਾਸ਼ੀਬ ਦੀ, ਬਾਰਵੀਂ ਯਾਕੀਮ ਦੀ,

the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,

13 ੧੩ ਤੇਰ੍ਹਵੀਂ ਹੁੱਪਾਹ ਦੀ, ਚੌਦਵੀਂ ਯਸ਼ਬਆਬ ਦੀ,

the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,

14 ੧੪ ਪੰਦਰਵੀਂ ਬਿਲਗਾਹ ਦੀ, ਸੋਲ਼ਵੀਂ ਇੰਮੇਰ ਦੀ,

the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,

15 ੧੫ ਸਤਾਰਵੀਂ ਹੇਜ਼ੀਰ ਦੀ, ਅਠਾਰਵੀਂ ਹੱਪੀਸੇਸ ਦੀ,

the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,

16 ੧੬ ਉਂਨੀਵੀਂ ਪਥਹਯਾਹ ਦੀ, ਵੀਹਵੀਂ ਯਹਜ਼ਕੇਲ ਦੀ,

the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel,

17 ੧੭ ਇੱਕੀਵੀਂ ਯਾਕੀਨ ਦੀ, ਬਾਈਵੀਂ ਗਾਮੂਲ ਦੀ,

the twenty-first to Jakin, the twenty-second to Gamul,

18 ੧੮ ਤੇਈਵੀਂ ਦਲਾਯਾਹ ਦੀ, ਚੌਵੀਵੀਂ ਮਅਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਦੀ।

the twenty-third to Delaiah, and the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.

19 ੧੯ ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਆਉਣ ਜਿਹ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।

This was the order of their service, when they came into Yahweh's house, following the procedure given to them by Aaron their ancestor, as Yahweh, the God of Israel, had instructed him.

20 ੨੦ ਲੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਇਹ ਸਨ, ਅਮਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸ਼ੂਬਾਏਲ। ਸ਼ੂਬਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਜਹਦਯਾਹ

These were the rest of the descendants of Levi: Of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.

21 ੨੧ ਰਹਾਬਯਾਹ, ਰਹਾਬਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਯਿੱਸ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਸੀ

As for Rehabiah, the sons of Rehabiah: Ishijah the leader.

22 ੨੨ ਯਿਸਹਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸ਼ਲੋਮੋਥ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਯਹਥ

From the Izharites: Shelomoth; from the sons of Shelomoth: Jahath.

23 ੨੩ ਅਤੇ ਹਬਰੋਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਯਰੀਯਾਹ, ਅਮਰਯਾਹ ਦੂਜਾ ਯਹਜ਼ੀਏਲ ਤੀਜਾ, ਯਿਕਮਆਮ ਚੌਥਾ

The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the leader, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.

The son of Uzziel: Micah; from the sons of Micah: Shamir.

25 ੨੫ ਮੀਕਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਯਿੱਸ਼ੀਯਾਹ, ਯਿੱਸ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ

The brother of Micah: Ishijah. From the sons of Ishijah: Zechariah.

26 ੨੬ ਮਰਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਮਹਲੀ ਤੇ ਮੂਸ਼ੀ। ਯਅਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਬਨੋ

The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi; from the son of Jaaziah: Beno.

27 ੨੭ ਮਰਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਯਅਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਨੋ ਤੇ ਸ਼ੋਹਮ ਤੇ ਜ਼ੱਕੂਰ ਤੇ ਈਬਰੀ

The sons of Merari from Jaaziah: Beno, Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.

28 ੨੮ ਮਹਲੀ ਦੀ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਜਿਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ

From Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.

29 ੨੯ ਰਿਹਾ ਕੀਸ਼, ਕੀਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਯਰਹਮਏਲ

From Kish: The son of Kish: Jerahmeel.

30 ੩੦ ਅਤੇ ਮੂਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮਹਲੀ ਤੇ ਏਦਰ ਤੇ ਯਰੀਮੋਥ। ਇਹ ਲੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸਨ

The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the Levites, listed by their families.

31 ੩੧ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਦਾਊਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ, ਸਾਦੋਕ ਦੇ, ਅਹੀਮਲਕ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਪਰਚੀਆਂ ਪਈਆਂ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਮੁਖੀਏ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ।

These men who were the head of each father's house and each of their younger brothers, cast lots in the presence of King David, and Zadok and Ahimelech, along with the leaders of the families of the priests and Levites. They cast lots just as Aaron's descendants had done.
