ଯିଖରୀୟ 5

1 ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ମୁଁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱକୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି କଲି, ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ଉଡ଼ନ୍ତା ଏକ ନଳାକାର ପୁସ୍ତକ।

Then again I looked up and saw a flying scroll.

2 ପୁଣି, ଦୂତ ମୋତେ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ କଅଣ ଦେଖୁଅଛ?” ତହିଁରେ ମୁଁ ଉତ୍ତର କଲି, “ମୁଁ ଉଡ଼ନ୍ତା ନଳାକାର ଏକ ପୁସ୍ତକ ଦେଖୁଅଛି ତହିଁର ଲମ୍ବା କୋଡ଼ିଏ ହାତ ଓ ଓସାର ଦଶ ହାତ।”

He said to me, ‘What do you see?’ I answered, ‘I see a flying scroll; twenty cubits long, ten cubits wide.’

3 ତେବେ ସେ ମୋତେ କହିଲେ, “ଏହା ସମୁଦାୟ ଦେଶ ଉପରକୁ ବାହାରି ଯିବା ଅଭିଶାପ; କାରଣ ଯେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଲୋକ ଚୋରି କରେ, ସେ ତହିଁର ଏକ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ଅନୁସାରେ ପରିଷ୍କୃତ ହେବ ଓ ଯେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଲୋକ ଶପଥ କରେ, ସେ ତହିଁର ଅନ୍ୟ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ଅନୁସାରେ ପରିଷ୍କୃତ ହେବ।

Then he said to me, ‘This is the curse that goes over the whole land. Every thief will be banished according to the writing on one side and everyone who lies under oath shall be banished according to the writing on the other side.

4 ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ବାହାର କରାଇ ଆଣିବା, ଆଉ ତାହା ଚୋରର ଗୃହରେ ଓ ଯେ ଆମ୍ଭ ନାମରେ ମିଥ୍ୟା ଶପଥ କରେ, ତାହାର ଗୃହରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ; ପୁଣି, ତାହାର ଗୃହ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ରହି କାଷ୍ଠ ଓ ପଥର ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବ।”

I have sent it out, says the Lord of hosts, and it will enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of anyone who swears falsely by my name. It will remain in the midst of his house and will consume it with its timber and its stones.’

5 ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ମୋʼ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଯେଉଁ ଦୂତ କଥା କହୁଥିଲେ, ସେ ବାହାରେ ଆସି ମୋତେ କହିଲେ, “ଏବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱକୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି କର, ଏହି ଯାହା ଆସୁଅଛି, ତାହା କଅଣ?”

Then the messenger who talked with me came forward, and said to me, ‘Look up and see what is now coming.’

6 ତହିଁରେ ମୁଁ କହିଲି, “ଏ କଅଣ?” ତହୁଁ ସେ କହିଲେ, “ଏହା ଐଫା-ପାତ୍ର, ଯାହା ଆସୁଅଛି,” ସେ ଆହୁରି କହିଲେ, “ଏହା ସମୁଦାୟ ଦେଶସ୍ଥ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ପାପ ଅଟେ।”

I said. ‘What is it?’ He said, ‘It is a measuring basket, full of the guilt of the land.’

7 ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ପାତ୍ରର ଠିପି ଉପରକୁ ଉଠାଗଲା ଆଉ, ସେହି ପାତ୍ର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏକ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ବସିଅଛି।

A round leaden cover was lifted up, and there was a woman sitting in the middle of the basket.

8 ପୁଣି, ସେ ମୋତେ କହିଲେ, “ଏହା ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା!” ଆଉ, ସେ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ପାତ୍ର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପକାଇଦେଲେ ଓ ତହିଁର ମୁହଁକୁ ବନ୍ଦ କରିଦେଲେ।

He said, ‘This is Wickedness.’ He thrust her down into the midst of the basket and he pushed the round leaden cover back on its mouth.

9 ସେତେବେଳେ ମୁଁ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱକୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି କଲି, ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ଦୁଇ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ବାହାରି ଆସିଲେ, ଆଉ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷପୁଟରେ ବାୟୁ ଥିଲା; ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପକ୍ଷ ଚରଳର ପକ୍ଷ ପରି ଥିଲା, ପୁଣି ସେମାନେ ପୃଥିବୀ ଓ ଆକାଶ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେ ପାତ୍ରକୁ ଉଠାଇଲେ।

Then I looked up and saw two women, and the wind was in their wings. They had wings like the wings of a stork and they lifted up the basket between them.

10 ତହିଁରେ ଯେଉଁ ଦୂତ ମୋʼ ସହିତ କଥା କହୁଥିଲେ, ମୁଁ ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲି, “ଏମାନେ କେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ପାତ୍ର ବହି ନେଉଅଛନ୍ତି?”

Then I said to the messenger who talked with me, ‘Where are they taking the basket?’

11 ଏଥିରେ ସେ ମୋତେ କହିଲେ, “ଶିନୀୟର ଦେଶରେ ସେହି ପାତ୍ର ପାଇଁ ଏକ ମନ୍ଦିର ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବାକୁ; ପୁଣି, ତାହା ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ହେଲେ ସେଠାରେ ସେହି ପାତ୍ର ଆପଣା ସ୍ଥାନରେ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରାଯିବ।”

He said to me, ‘To build her a house in the land of Shinar. When it is prepared, they will rest the basket there.’
