ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଶାମୁୟେଲ 6

1 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଦାଉଦ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ତିରିଶ ହଜାର ବଛା ଲୋକ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କଲେ।

And David again gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.

2 ଆଉ ଦାଉଦ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସଙ୍ଗୀ ଲୋକ ସମସ୍ତେ ଉଠି, ସେହି ନାମରେ ଖ୍ୟାତ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍‍, କିରୂବଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଉପବିଷ୍ଟ ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଖ୍ୟାତ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ବାଲି-ଯିହୁଦାଠାରୁ ଆଣିବାକୁ ଗଲେ।

And David arose, and went with all the people who were with him to Baalah, that is, Kiriath Jearim of Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called there by the name of the LORD of hosts enthroned on the cherubim.

3 ପୁଣି ସେମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ଏକ ନୂଆ ଶଗଡ଼ରେ ରଖି ପର୍ବତସ୍ଥ ଅବୀନାଦବର ଗୃହରୁ ଆଣିଲେ; ପୁଣି ଅବୀନାଦବର ପୁତ୍ର ଉଷ ଓ ଅହୀୟୋ ସେହି ନୂଆ ଶଗଡ଼ ଚଳାଇଲେ।

And they set the ark of God on a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was on the hill. And Uzza and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, guided the cart

4 ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ପର୍ବତସ୍ଥ ଅବୀନାଦବର ଗୃହରୁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ସହିତ ତାହା ଆଣିଲେ; ଅହୀୟୋ ସିନ୍ଦୁକର ଆଗେ ଆଗେ ଚାଲିଲା।

with the ark; and Ahio was walking in front of the ark.

5 ପୁଣି ଦାଉଦ ଓ ସମୁଦାୟ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଦେବଦାରୁ କାଷ୍ଠରେ ନିର୍ମିତ ନାନା ପ୍ରକାର ବାଦ୍ୟଯନ୍ତ୍ର, ବୀଣା ଓ ନେବଲ ଓ ଦାରା ଓ ମନ୍ଦିରା ଓ କରତାଳ ବଜାଇଲେ।

And David and all the children of Israel played before the LORD with all their strength and with songs, and with harps, and with stringed instruments, and with tambourines, and with castanets, and with cymbals.

6 ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ନାଖୋନ ନାମକ ଶସ୍ୟମର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, ବଳଦମାନେ ଅମଣା ହେବାରୁ ଉଷ ହସ୍ତ ବିସ୍ତାର କରି ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ଧରିଲା।

And when they came to the threshing floor of Nodan, Uzza reached out his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the cattle stumbled.

7 ସେତେବେଳେ ଉଷ ପ୍ରତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ କ୍ରୋଧ ପ୍ରଜ୍ୱଳିତ ହେଲା; ଏଣୁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତାହାର ଭ୍ରମ ସକାଶୁ ତାହାକୁ ଆଘାତ କରନ୍ତେ, ସେ ସେହିଠାରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ପାଖରେ ମଲା।

And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza; and God struck him there for his error; and there he died before God.

8 ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଉଷକୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବାରୁ ଦାଉଦ ଅସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ ହେଲେ, ଏଣୁ ସେ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନର ନାମ ପେରସ-ଉଷ (ଉଷ ପ୍ରତି ଆକ୍ରମଣ) ରଖିଲେ; ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେହି ନାମ ଅଛି।

And David was displeased, because the LORD had broken forth on Uzza; and he called that place Perez Uzza, to this day.

9 ପୁଣି ଦାଉଦ ସେହି ଦିନ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରି କହିଲେ, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ କିପ୍ରକାରେ ମୋʼ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିବ?”

And David was afraid of the LORD that day; and he said, "How can the ark of God come to me?" Now the ark of the LORD arrived,

10 ତହୁଁ ଦାଉଦ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ଦାଉଦ-ନଗରକୁ ଆପଣା କତିକି ଆଣିବାକୁ ଅନିଚ୍ଛୁକ ହେଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ଦାଉଦ ତାହା ନେଇ ପଥପାର୍ଶ୍ଵସ୍ଥ ଗାଥୀୟ ଓବେଦ୍‍-ଇଦୋମର ଗୃହରେ ରଖିଲେ,

but David was not willing to move the ark of the LORD with him to the City of David; so David diverted it to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.

11 ତହିଁରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ଗାଥୀୟ ଓବେଦ୍‍-ଇଦୋମର ଗୃହରେ ତିନି ମାସ ରହିଲା; ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଓବେଦ୍‍-ଇଦୋମକୁ ଓ ତାହାର ସମସ୍ତ ପରିବାରକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କଲେ।

And the ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months, and the LORD blessed Obed-Edom and all his house.

12 ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ସକାଶୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଓବେଦ୍‍-ଇଦୋମର ପରିବାରକୁ ଓ ତାହାର ସର୍ବସ୍ୱକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ଦାଉଦ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଜ୍ଞାତ କରାଗଲା। ତହୁଁ ଦାଉଦ ଯାଇ ଓବେଦ୍‍-ଇଦୋମର ଗୃହରୁ ଆନନ୍ଦପୂର୍ବକ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକକୁ ଦାଉଦ-ନଗରକୁ ଆଣିଲେ।

And it was told king David, saying, "The LORD has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him because of the ark of God." And David said, "I will bring back the blessing to my house." And David went and brought up the ark of the LORD from the house of Obed-Edom into the City of David with joy.

13 ଆଉ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ-ବାହକମାନେ ଛଅ ପାଦ ଗଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେ ଏକ ଗୋରୁ ଓ ଏକ ପୁଷ୍ଟ ପଶୁ ବଳିଦାନ କଲେ।

And it was so, that, when those who bore the ark of the LORD had gone six steps, he sacrificed an ox and a fattened calf.

14 ପୁଣି ଦାଉଦ ଆପଣାର ସମସ୍ତ ବଳରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ନୃତ୍ୟ କଲେ; ସେହି ସମୟରେ ଦାଉଦ ଶୁକ୍ଳ ଏଫୋଦ ପିନ୍ଧିଥିଲେ।

And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was clothed in a linen ephod.

15 ଏହିରୂପେ ଦାଉଦ ଓ ସମୁଦାୟ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ ଜୟଧ୍ୱନି ଓ ତୂରୀଧ୍ୱନି କରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ଆଣିଲେ।

So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.

16 ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ଦାଉଦ-ନଗରରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବା ବେଳେ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର କନ୍ୟା ମୀଖଲ ଝରକା ଦେଇ ଅନାଇ ଦାଉଦ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ କୁଦିବାର ଓ ନାଚିବାର ଦେଖିଲା; ଏଣୁ ସେ ଆପଣା ମନେ ମନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ତୁଚ୍ଛ କଲା।

Now, as the ark of the LORD was entering into the City of David, Mikal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.

17 ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ଭିତରକୁ ଆଣି ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍‍, ତହିଁ ପାଇଁ ଦାଉଦ ଯେଉଁ ତମ୍ବୁ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିଥିଲେ, ତହିଁ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ରଖିଲେ; ତହୁଁ ଦାଉଦ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ହୋମବଳି ଓ ମଙ୍ଗଳାର୍ଥକ ବଳି ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ।

And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had set up for it; and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.

18 ପୁଣି ଦାଉଦ ହୋମବଳି ଓ ମଙ୍ଗଳାର୍ଥକ ବଳି ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରି ସାରିଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ସେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କଲେ।

And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.

19 ପୁଣି ସେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ସମୁଦାୟ ଜନତା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ, ପୁରୁଷ ଓ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଉଭୟ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକଙ୍କୁ ଏକ ଏକ ଖଣ୍ଡ ରୁଟି ଓ ଏକ ଏକ ଅଂଶ ମାଂସ ଓ ଏକ ଏକ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାଚକ୍ତି ପରିବେଷଣ କଲେ। ତହିଁରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଗୃହକୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କଲେ।

And he gave to all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, both to men and women, to everyone a portion of bread, a date cake, and a raisin cake. So all the people departed everyone to his house.

20 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଦାଉଦ ଆପଣା ପରିବାରକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଫେରିଗଲେ। ତହିଁରେ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର କନ୍ୟା ମୀଖଲ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ଭେଟିବା ପାଇଁ ବାହାରେ ଆସି କହିଲା, “ଆଜି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ରାଜା କେଡ଼େ ଗୌରବ ପାଇଲେ, ସେ ଆଜି ଆପଣା ଦାସଗଣର ଦାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ବିବସ୍ତ୍ର ହୋଇଥିଲେ, ଯେପରି କୌଣସି ଅଗାଡ଼ି ଲୋକ ନିର୍ଲଜ ରୂପେ ବିବସ୍ତ୍ର ହୁଏ!”

And then David returned to bless his household. Mikal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David. And she greeted him, and said, "How glorious the king of Israel was today, who uncovered himself today in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself."

21 ଏଥିରେ ଦାଉଦ ମୀଖଲକୁ କହିଲେ, “ତାହା ତ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ହେଲା, ସେ ତ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପିତା ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ବଂଶ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଲୋକ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଉପରେ ଅଗ୍ରଣୀ ରୂପେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କରିବାକୁ ମୋତେ ମନୋନୀତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ଏହେତୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ମୁଁ ଆମୋଦ କରିବି।

And David said to Mikal, "I was dancing before the LORD. Blessed be the LORD, who chose me above your father, and above all his house, to appoint me prince over the people of the LORD, over Israel; therefore I will celebrate before the LORD.

22 ପୁଣି ମୁଁ ଏଥିରୁ ହିଁ ଆହୁରି କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ର ହେବି ଓ ନିଜ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ନୀଚ ହେବି; ତଥାପି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ଦାସୀମାନଙ୍କ କଥା କହିଲ, ସେମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ମୁଁ ଗୌରବ ପାଇବି।”

And I will be yet more vile than this, and will be lowly in your eyes. But of the handmaids of whom you have spoken, they shall honor me."

23 ଏହେତୁ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର କନ୍ୟା ମୀଖଲର ମରଣ ଦିନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସନ୍ତାନ ହେଲା ନାହିଁ।

And Mikal the daughter of Saul had no child to the day of her death.
