ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ବଂଶାବଳୀ 34
1 ଯୋଶୀୟ ରାଜ୍ୟ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିବା ସମୟରେ ଆଠ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ୍କ ଥିଲେ; ଆଉ ସେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ଏକତିରିଶ ବର୍ଷ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ।
Iosiah was eight yeere olde when hee began to reigne, and he reigned in Ierusalem one and thirtie yeere.
2 ପୁଣି, ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଯଥାର୍ଥ କର୍ମ କଲେ ଓ ଆପଣା ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ପଥରେ ଚାଲିଲେ, ଆଉ, ଦକ୍ଷିଣରେ କି ବାମରେ ଫେରିଲେ ନାହିଁ।
And he did vprightly in the sight of ye Lord, and walked in the wayes of Dauid his father, and bowed neither to the right hand nor to the left.
3 ତାହାଙ୍କ ରାଜତ୍ଵର ଅଷ୍ଟମ ବର୍ଷରେ ସେ ଅଳ୍ପ ବୟସ୍କ ଥାଉ ଥାଉ ଆପଣା ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ ଓ ସେ ଦ୍ୱାଦଶ ବର୍ଷରେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀ ଓ ଆଶେରା ମୂର୍ତ୍ତି ଓ ଖୋଦିତ ପ୍ରତିମା ଓ ଛାଞ୍ଚରେ ଢଳା ପ୍ରତିମାରୁ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମକୁ ଶୁଚି କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
And in the eight yeere of his reigne (when he was yet a childe) he began to seeke after the God of Dauid his father: and in the twelft yeere he began to purge Iudah, and Ierusalem from the hie places, and the groues, and the carued images, and molten images:
4 ପୁଣି, ଲୋକମାନେ ତାଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ବାଲ୍ ଦେବଗଣର ଯଜ୍ଞବେଦିସବୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ପକାଇଲେ, ଆଉ ସେ ତହିଁ ଉପରେ ସ୍ଥାପିତ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ-ପ୍ରତିମାସବୁ କାଟି ପକାଇଲେ ଓ ଆଶେରା ମୂର୍ତ୍ତି, ଖୋଦିତ ପ୍ରତିମା ଓ ଛାଞ୍ଚରେ ଢଳା ପ୍ରତିମାସବୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରି ସେସବୁର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ବଳିଦାନକାରୀ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ କବର ଉପରେ ତାହା ବିଞ୍ଚିଲେ।
And they brake downe in his sight the altars of Baalim, and hee caused to cut downe the images that were on hie vpon them: he brake also the groues, and the carued images, and the molten images, and stampt them to pouder, and strowed it vpon the graues of them that had sacrificed vnto them.
5 ଆଉ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଯଜ୍ଞବେଦି ଉପରେ ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କ ଅସ୍ଥି ଦଗ୍ଧ କରି ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମକୁ ଶୁଚି କଲେ।
Also he burnt the bones of the Priests vpon their altars, and purged Iudah and Ierusalem.
6 ସେ ମନଃଶି ଓ ଇଫ୍ରୟିମ ଓ ଶିମୀୟୋନର ନଗରସମୂହରେ ନପ୍ତାଲି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ କାନ୍ଥଡ଼ାର ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗରେ ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର କଲେ।
And in the cities of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and Simeon, euen vnto Naphtali, with their maules they brake all round about.
7 ଆଉ, ସେ ଯଜ୍ଞବେଦିସବୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ପକାଇଲେ ଓ ଆଶେରା ମୂର୍ତ୍ତି ଓ ଖୋଦିତ ପ୍ରତିମାସବୁ ଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କଲେ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଦେଶର ସର୍ବତ୍ର ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ-ପ୍ରତିମାସବୁ କାଟି ପକାଇ ଯିରୂଶାଲମକୁ ଫେରି ଆସିଲେ।
And when he had destroyed the altars and the groues, and had broken and stamped to pouder the images, and had cut downe all the idoles throughout all the land of Israel, hee returned to Ierusalem.
8 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେ ଆପଣା ରାଜତ୍ଵର ଅଠର ବର୍ଷରେ ଦେଶ ଓ ଗୃହ ଶୁଚି କଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଗୃହର ମରାମତି ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅତ୍ସଲୀୟର ପୁତ୍ର ଶାଫନ୍କୁ ଓ ନଗରାଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ମାସେୟକୁ ଓ ଯୋୟାହସର ପୁତ୍ର ଯୋୟାହ ଇତିହାସ ଲେଖକକୁ ପଠାଇଲେ।
Then in the eightenth yere of his reigne, when hee had purged the lande and the Temple, he sent Shaphan the sonne of Azaliah, and Maaseiah the gouernour of the citie, and Ioah the sonne of Ioahaz the recorder, to repaire the house of the Lord his God.
9 ତହୁଁ ସେମାନେ ହିଲ୍କୀୟ ମହାଯାଜକ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ଲେବୀୟ ଦ୍ୱାରପାଳମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ମନଃଶି ଓ ଇଫ୍ରୟିମ ଓ ସମଗ୍ର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟାଂଶ, ପୁଣି ସମଗ୍ର ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ବିନ୍ୟାମୀନ୍ ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ନିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରୁ ସଂଗୃହୀତ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଗୃହକୁ ଆନୀତ ସକଳ ମୁଦ୍ରା ତାହା ନିକଟରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କଲେ।
And when they came to Hilkiah the hie Priest, they deliuered ye money that was brought into the house of God, which the Leuites that kept the doore, had gathered at the hand of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and of all the residue of Israel, and of all Iudah and Beniamin, and of the inhabitantes of Ierusalem.
10 ଆଉ, ସେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହର ତତ୍ତ୍ୱାବଧାରଣ କର୍ମକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ତାହା ସମର୍ପି ଦେଲେ; ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହର କର୍ମକାରୀମାନେ ସେହି ଗୃହର ଜୀର୍ଣ୍ଣସଂସ୍କାର ଓ ପୁନଃନିର୍ମାଣ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହା ଦେଲେ;
And they put it in the hands of them that should doe the worke and had the ouersight in the house of the Lord: and they gaue it to the workemen that wrought in the house of ye Lord, to repaire and amend the house.
11 ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ଯିହୁଦା-ରାଜାଗଣ ଯେସକଳ ଗୃହ ବିନାଶ କରିଥିଲେ, ତହିଁ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଖୋଦିତ ପ୍ରସ୍ତର ଓ ବରଗା ଓ କଡ଼ିକାଠ କିଣିବା ପାଇଁ ତାହା ସୂତ୍ରଧର ଓ ଗାନ୍ଥକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲେ।
Euen to the workemen and to the builders gaue they it, to bye hewed stone and timber for couples and for beames of the houses, which the Kings of Iudah had destroyed.
12 ଆଉ, ଲୋକମାନେ ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତ ରୂପେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କଲେ; ମରାରି-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଯହତ୍ ଓ ଓବଦୀୟ, ଏହି ଲେବୀୟମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ତତ୍ତ୍ୱାବଧାରକ ଥିଲେ; ପୁଣି, କହାତ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜିଖରୀୟ ଓ ମଶୁଲ୍ଲମ୍ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ଲେବୀୟମାନେ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ବାଦ୍ୟ ବଜାଇବାକୁ ନିପୁଣ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ କର୍ମ ଚଳାଇବାକୁ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ ଥିଲେ।
And the men did the worke faithfully, and the ouerseers of them were Iahath and Obadiah the Leuites, of the children of Merari, and Zechariah, and Meshullam, of the children of the Kohathites to set it forward: and of the Leuites all that could skill of instruments of musike.
13 ଆହୁରି, ସେମାନେ ଭାରବାହକମାନଙ୍କର ତତ୍ତ୍ୱାବଧାରକ ଓ କର୍ମ ଚଳାଇବା ପାଇଁ ସର୍ବପ୍ରକାର ସେବାକାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ ଥିଲେ; ପୁଣି, ଲେବୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଲେଖକ, କାର୍ଯ୍ୟଶାସକ ଓ ଦ୍ୱାରପାଳ ଥିଲେ।
And they were ouer the bearers of burdens, and them that set forwarde all the workemen in euery worke: and of the Leuites were scribes, and officers and porters.
14 ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହକୁ ଆନୀତ ମୁଦ୍ରା ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଲା ବେଳେ ହିଲ୍କୀୟ ଯାଜକ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଦତ୍ତ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା-ପୁସ୍ତକ ପାଇଲା।
And when they brought out the money that was brought into the house of the Lord, Hilkiah the Priest found the booke of the Lawe of the Lord giuen by the hand of Moses.
15 ତହିଁରେ ହିଲ୍କୀୟ ଶାଫନ୍ ଲେଖକକୁ ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲା, “ମୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା-ପୁସ୍ତକ ପାଇଅଛି।” ପୁଣି ହିଲ୍କୀୟ ଶାଫନ୍କୁ ସେହି ପୁସ୍ତକ ଦେଲା।
Therefore Hilkiah answered and sayde to Shaphan the chaceler, I haue found the booke of the Law in the house of the Lord: and Hilkiah gaue the booke to Shaphan.
16 ଆଉ, ଶାଫନ୍ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ସେହି ପୁସ୍ତକ ନେଇଗଲା, ଆହୁରି ରାଜାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ସମ୍ବାଦ ନେଇ କହିଲା, “ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦାସମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅର୍ପିତ ସମସ୍ତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସେମାନେ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି।
And Shaphan caried the booke to the King, and brought the King worde againe, saying, All that is committed to the hand of thy seruants, that do they.
17 ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ଥିବା ମୁଦ୍ରା କାଢ଼ିନେଇ ତତ୍ତ୍ୱାବଧାରକମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ଓ କର୍ମକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।”
For they haue gathered the money that was found in the house of the Lord, and haue deliuered it into the handes of the ouerseers, and to the handes of the workemen.
18 ଆହୁରି, ଶାଫନ୍ ଲେଖକ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇ କହିଲା, ହିଲ୍କୀୟ ଯାଜକ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଖଣ୍ଡେ ପୁସ୍ତକ ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି ଆଉ, ଶାଫନ୍ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ତହିଁରୁ ପାଠ କଲା।
Also Shaphan ye chanceler declared to the King, saying, Hilkiah the Priest hath giuen mee a booke, and Shaphan read it before the King.
19 ଏଥିରେ ରାଜା ସେହି ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାର ବାକ୍ୟ ଶ୍ରବଣ କରନ୍ତେ, ଆପଣା ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଚିରିଲେ।
And when the King had heard the wordes of the Lawe, he tare his clothes.
20 ପୁଣି, ରାଜା ହିଲ୍କୀୟକୁ ଓ ଶାଫନ୍ର ପୁତ୍ର ଅହୀକାମକୁ ଓ ମୀଖାର ପୁତ୍ର ଅବ୍ଦୋନ୍କୁ ଓ ଶାଫନ୍ ଲେଖକକୁ ଓ ରାଜାର ଦାସ ଅସାୟକୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା କରି କହିଲେ,
And the King commanded Hilkiah, and Ahikam the sonne of Shaphan, and Abdon the sonne of Micah, and Shaphan the chanceler, and Asaiah the Kings seruant, saying,
21 “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯାଇ ମୋʼ ନିମନ୍ତେ, ପୁଣି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଓ ଯିହୁଦା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏହି ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ପୁସ୍ତକର ବାକ୍ୟ ବିଷୟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ପଚାର; କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତୃଲୋକମାନେ ଏହି ପୁସ୍ତକର ସକଳ ଲିଖନାନୁସାରେ କର୍ମ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ପାଳନ ନ କରିବାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ମହାକୋପ ବର୍ଷିଅଛି।”
Goe and enquire of the Lord for me, and for the rest in Israel and Iudah, concerning the wordes of this booke that is founde: for great is the wrath of the Lord that is fallen vpon vs, because our fathers haue not kept the worde of the Lord, to doe after all that is written in this booke.
22 ତହିଁରେ ହିଲ୍କୀୟ ଓ ରାଜାଜ୍ଞାପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନେ ହସ୍ରର ପୌତ୍ର ତୋଖତର ପୁତ୍ର ଶଲ୍ଲୁମ୍ ନାମକ ବସ୍ତ୍ରାଗାରରକ୍ଷକର ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟା ହୁଲ୍ଦା ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତ୍ରୀ ନିକଟକୁ ଗଲେ; ସେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ବିଭାଗରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିଲା, ପୁଣି ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ସେହି ଭାବର କଥା କହିଲେ।
Then Hilkiah and they that the King had appoynted, went to Huldah the Prophetesse ye wife of Shallum, the sonne of Tokhath, the sonne of Hasrah keeper of the wardrobe (and she dwelt in Ierusalem within the colledge) and they communed hereof with her.
23 ତହିଁରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର କଲା, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭ କତିକି ପଠାଇଲା, ତାହାକୁ କୁହ,
And shee answered them, Thus sayth the Lord God of Israel, Tell yee the man that sent you to me,
24 ‘ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନ ଉପରେ ଓ ତନ୍ନିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ସେମାନେ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଯେଉଁ ପୁସ୍ତକ ପାଠ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତହିଁରେ ଲିଖିତ ସକଳ ଅଭିଶାପ ଘଟାଇବା।
Thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I will bring euill vpon this place, and vpon the inhabitantes thereof, euen all the curses, that are written in the booke which they haue read before the King of Iudah:
25 କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତକୃତ ସକଳ କର୍ମ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ବିରକ୍ତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେବଗଣ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଧୂପ ଜ୍ୱଳାଇ ଅଛନ୍ତି; ଏହେତୁ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନ ଉପରେ ଆମ୍ଭର କୋପାନଳ ବର୍ଷିଅଛି ଓ ତାହା ନିର୍ବାଣ ନୋହିବ।
Because they haue forsaken me, and burnt incense vnto other gods, to anger mee with al the workes of their hands, therefore shall my wrath fall vpon this place, and shall not be quenched.
26 ମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିବା ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲା ଯେ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା, ତାହାକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କହିବ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶୁଣିବା ବାକ୍ୟ ବିଷୟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି;
But to the King of Iudah, who sent you to enquire of the Lord, so shall ye say vnto him, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The words which thou hast heard, shall come to passe.
27 ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଓ ତନ୍ନିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଉକ୍ତ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣିବାମାତ୍ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ କୋମଳ ହେଲା ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ନମ୍ର କଲ; ଏଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ନମ୍ର କରିବାରୁ ଓ ଆପଣା ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଚିରି ଆମ୍ଭ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ରୋଦନ କରିବାରୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭ କଥା ଶୁଣିଲୁ।
But because thine heart did melt, and thou didest humble thy selfe before God, when thou heardest his wordes against this place and against the inhabitantes thereof, and humbledst thy selfe before mee and tarest thy clothes, and weptest before mee, I haue also heard it, sayth the Lord.
28 ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପିତୃଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରିବା, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଶାନ୍ତିରେ ଆପଣା କବରରେ ସଂଗୃହୀତ ହେବ, ପୁଣି ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନ ଉପରେ ଓ ତନ୍ନିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଯେଉଁ ଯେଉଁ ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ ଘଟାଇବା, ତାହାସବୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ।’” ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେମାନେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ରାଜା ନିକଟକୁ ସମାଚାର ଆଣିଲେ।
Beholde, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt bee put in thy graue in peace, and thine eyes shall not see all the euill, which I will bring vpon this place, and vpon the inhabitants of the same. Thus they brought ye King word againe.
29 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ରାଜା ଲୋକ ପଠାଇ ଯିହୁଦାର ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରାଚୀନବର୍ଗଙ୍କୁ ଏକତ୍ର କଲେ।
Then the King sent and gathered all the Elders of Iudah and Ierusalem.
30 ପୁଣି, ରାଜା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହକୁ ଗମନ କଲେ, ଆଉ ଯିହୁଦାର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ନିବାସୀମାନେ ଓ ଯାଜକମାନେ ଓ ଲେବୀୟମାନେ ଓ ବଡ଼ ସାନ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ଗମନ କଲେ; ତହୁଁ ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ନିୟମ-ପୁସ୍ତକର ସମସ୍ତ ବାକ୍ୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କ କର୍ଣ୍ଣଗୋଚରରେ ପାଠ କଲେ।
And the King went vp into the house of the Lord, and all the men of Iudah, and the inhabitants of Ierusalem, and the Priests and the Leuites, and all the people from the greatest to the smallest, and hee read in their eares all the wordes of the booke of the couenant that was found in the house of the Lord.
31 ପୁଣି, ରାଜା ଆପଣା ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହେବାକୁ ଓ ଆପଣାର ସମସ୍ତ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରାଣ ସହିତ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଆଜ୍ଞା ଓ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ କଥା ଓ ବିଧି ପାଳନ କରି ଏହି ପୁସ୍ତକ-ଲିଖିତ ନିୟମ-ବାକ୍ୟ ସଫଳ କରିବାକୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ନିୟମ କଲେ।
And the King stood by his pillar, and made a couenant before the Lord, to walke after the Lord, and to keepe his commandements, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soule, and that he would accomplish the wordes of the couenant written in the same booke.
32 ଆଉ, ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ଓ ବିନ୍ୟାମୀନ୍ର ଯେତେ ଲୋକ ବିଦ୍ୟମାନ ଥିଲେ, ସେ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ସେହି ନିୟମରେ ସେ ସମ୍ମତ କରାଇଲେ। ତହିଁରେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ନିବାସୀମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର, ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନିୟମାନୁସାରେ କର୍ମ କଲେ।
And he caused all that were found in Ierusalem, and Beniamin to stande to it: and the inhabitants of Ierusalem did according to the couenant of God, euen the God of their fathers.
33 ପୁଣି, ଯୋଶୀୟ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ଅଧିକୃତ ସମସ୍ତ ଦେଶରୁ ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ ସକଳ ବିଷୟ ଦୂର କଲେ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବିଦ୍ୟମାନ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ସେବା, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ସେବା କରାଇଲେ। ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କର ଜୀବନଯାଏ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପିତୃଗଣର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗମନରୁ କ୍ଷାନ୍ତ ନୋହିଲେ।
So Iosiah tooke away al the abominations out of all the countreis that perteined to the children of Israel, and compelled all that were found in Israel, to serue the Lord their God: so all his dayes they turned not backe from the Lord God of their fathers.
