भजनसंग्रह 10

1 हे परमप्रभु, तपाईं किन टाढा खडा हुनुहुन्छ? कष्‍टको समयमा तपाईं किन आफैलाई लुकाउनुहुन्छ?

Why standest Thou afar off, O LORD? Why hidest Thou Thyself in times of trouble?

2 आफ्‍नो अहङ्कारको कारणले दुष्‍ट मानिसहरूले थिचोमिचोमा परेकाहरूलाई लखेट्छन् । तर दुष्‍टहरूलाई तिनीहरू आफैले बनाएका योजनाहरूका पासोमा पर्न दिनुहोस् ।

Through the pride of the wicked the poor is hotly pursued, they are taken in the devices that they have imagined.

3 किनकि दुष्‍ट व्‍यक्‍तिले आफ्ना गहिरा इच्छाहरूमा घमण्ड गर्छ । त्यसले लालचीलाई आशिष्‌ ‌‌दिन्छ र परमप्रभुको अपमान गर्छ ।

For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and the covetous vaunteth himself, though he contemn the LORD.

4 दुष्‍ट मानिसको मुहार अहङ्कारपूर्ण छ । त्यसले परमेश्‍वरलाई खोज्‍दैन । त्यसले परमेश्‍वरको बारेमा कदापि विचार गर्दैन किनभने त्यसले उहाँको बारेमा केही वास्‍तै गर्दैन ।

The wicked, in the pride of his countenance, saith: 'He will not require'; all his thoughts are: 'There is no God.'

5 त्यो हर समय ढुक्‍क हुन्छ, तर तपाईंका धार्मिक आदेशहरू त्यसको निम्ति अति उच्‍च छन् । त्यसले आफ्‍ना सबै शत्रुलाई घृणा गर्छ ।

His ways prosper at all times; Thy judgments are far above out of his sight; as for all his adversaries, he puffeth at them.

6 त्यसले आफ्‍नो मनमा भन्छ, “म कहिल्यै असफल हुन्‍नँ । सारा पुस्ताभरि नै मैले दुर्दिन देख्‍नेछैन ।”

He saith in his heart: 'I shall not be moved, I who to all generations shall not be in adversity.'

7 त्यसको मुख सराप, छलले र हानिकारक शब्दहरूले पूर्ण हुन्छ । त्यसको जिब्रोले घायल पार्छ र नाश गर्छ ।

His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.

8 त्यो गाउँको नजिकै ढुकेर बस्छ । गुप्‍त ठाउँहरूमा त्यसले निर्दोषको हत्या गर्छ । त्यसका आँखाले बेसाहारा पिडितलाई खोज्छ ।

He sitteth in the lurking-places of the villages; in secret places doth he slay the innocent; his eyes are on the watch for the helpless.

9 सिंह झाडीमा लुकेझैं त्यो गुप्‍तमा ढुक्छ । थिचोमिचोमा परेकाहरूलाई समात्‍न त्‍यो पर्खेर बस्‍छ । त्यसले आफ्नो जाल तान्दा थिचोमिचोमा परेकाहरूलाई समाउँछ ।

He lieth in wait in a secret place as a lion in his lair, he lieth in wait to catch the poor; he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him up in his net.

10 त्यसका पन्‍जामा परेकाहरूलाई टेकिन्‍छन् र पिटिन्छन् । तिनीहरू त्यसको बलियो जालहरूमा फस्छन् ।

He croucheth, he boweth down, and the helpless fall into his mighty claws.

11 त्यसले आफ्नो मनमा भन्छ, “परमेश्‍वरले बिर्सनुभएको छ । उहाँले आफ्नो मुहार ढाक्‍नुहुन्‍छ । उहाँले हेर्ने कष्‍ट गर्नुहुनेछैन ।”

He hath said in his heart: 'God hath forgotten; He hideth His face; He will never see.'

12 हे परमप्रभु, उठ्‍नुहोस्! हे परमेश्‍वर, आफ्नो हात उठाउनुहोस्! तिचिएकाहरूलाई नबिर्सनुहोस् ।

Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up Thy hand; forget not the humble.

13 किन दुष्‍ट मानिसले परमेश्‍वरलाई इन्कार गर्छन् र आफ्नो हृदयमा यसो भन्‍छ, “तपाईंले मलाई जवाफदेही बनाउनु हुनेछैन”?

Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God, and say in his heart: 'Thou wilt not require'?

14 तपाईंले ध्यान दिनुभएको छ, किनकि विपद र दुःख ल्याउनेलाई तपाईंले सदासर्वदा हेर्नुहुन्छ । बेसाहाराले आफैलाई तपाईंमा सुम्पन्छ । तपाईंले अनाथहरूलाई छुटकारा दिनुहुन्छ ।

Thou hast seen; for Thou beholdest trouble and vexation, to requite them with Thy hand; unto Thee the helpless committeth himself; Thou hast been the helper of the fatherless.

15 दुष्‍ट र खराब मानिसहरूको पाखुरा भाँच्नुहोस् । त्यसलाई आफ्‍नो दुष्‍ट कामहरूको लेखा लिनुहोस्, जुन तपाईंले पत्ता लगाउनु हुन्‍न भनी त्यसले सोच्यो ।

Break Thou the arm of the wicked; and as for the evil man, search out his wickedness, till none be found.

16 परमप्रभु सदासर्वदा राजा हुनुहुन्छ । जातिहरू उहाँको देशबाट लखेटिन्‍छन् ।

The LORD is King for ever and ever; the nations are perished out of His land.

17 हे परमप्रभु, थिचोमिचोमा परेकाहरूको खाँचोहरूका बारेमा तपाईंले सुन्‍नुभएको छ । तपाईंले तिनीहरूका हृदयलाई मजबुत पार्नुहुन्छ, तपाईंले तिनीहरूका प्रार्थना सुन्‍नुहुन्छ ।

LORD, Thou hast heard the desire of the humble: Thou wilt direct their heart, Thou wilt cause Thine ear to attend;

18 तपाईंले अनाथहरू र थिचोमिचोमा परेकाहरूको रक्षा गर्नुहुन्छ ताकि पृथ्वीका कुनै पनि मानिसले फेरि आतङ्‍कित नपारोस् ।

To right the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may be terrible no more.
