ဆာလံ 129

1 ၁ ငယ်သောအရွယ်မှစ၍၊ ကြိမ်ဖန်များစွာ ငါ့ကို သူတပါးတို့သည် ညှဉ်းဆဲကြပြီဟူသော စကားနှင့်ချီ၍၊ ဣသရေလအမျိုးဆိုရသော စကားဟူမူကား၊

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

2 ၂ ငယ်သောအရွယ်မှစ၍၊ ကြိမ်ဖန်များစွာ ငါ့ကို သူတပါးတို့သည် ညှဉ်းဆဲကြပြီ။ သို့သော်လည်း ငါ့ကို မနိုင်ကြ။

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.

3 ၃ ထွန်သော သူတို့သည် ငါ့ကျောပေါ်မှာ ထွန်၍၊ ရှည်သော ထွန်ကြောင်းတို့ကို ဖြစ်စေကြ၏။

The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.

4 ၄ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ဖြောင့်မတ်တော်မူ၏။ မတရားသော သူတို့၏ ကြိုးတို့ကို ဖြတ်တော်မူပြီ။

Yhwh is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

5 ၅ ဇိအုန်မြို့ကို မုန်းသောသူအပေါင်းတို့သည် ရှက်ကြောက်၍ လှန်ခြင်းကို ခံရကြပါစေ။

Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

6 ၆ အိမ်မိုးပေါ်မှာ ပေါက်၍၊ အဘယ်သူမျှ မနှုတ်ဘဲ ညှိုးနွမ်းတတ် သော မြက်ပင်ကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်ကြပါစေ။

Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:

7 ၇ ထိုမြက်ပင်ကို ရိတ်သောသူသည် လက်တဆုပ်မျှ မရ။ စည်းသောသူလည်း လက်တပွေ့မျှမရ။

Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.

8 ၈ လမ်း၌ ရှောက်သွားသော သူတို့ကလည်း၊ ထာဝရဘုရားပေးတော်မူသော မင်္ဂလာသက်ရောက်ပါ စေသော။ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ နာမတော်ကို အမှီပြု၍၊ သင်တို့ကို ကောင်းကြီးပေးကြ၏ဟု မပြောမဆိုရကြ။

Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of Yhwh be upon you: we bless you in the name of Yhwh.
