1 ၁ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ငါတို့ဘက်မှာ ရှိတော် မမူလျှင်ဟူသော စကားနှင့် ချီ၍၊ ဣသရေလအမျိုးဆိုရ သောစကား ဟူမူကား၊

A song of ascents. Of David. ‘Had it not been the Lord who was for us’ let Israel say

2 ၂ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ငါတို့ဘက်မှာ ရှိတော် မမူလျှင်၊ လူတို့သည် ငါတို့ရန်ဘက်၌ နေကြသောအခါ၊

‘Had it not been the Lord who was for us when enemies rose against us,

3 ၃ အမျက်ထွက်၍ ငါတို့ကို အသက်နှင့်တကွ မျိုကြပြီတကား။

then alive they’d have swallowed us up, when their anger was kindled against us.

4 ၄ ထိုအခါ ငါတို့ကို ရေသည်၊ လွှမ်းမိုး၍ စီးသော ရေသည် ငါတို့ဝိညာဉ်အပေါ်မှာ ကျော်သွားပြီ တကား။

Then the waters would’ve swept us away, and the torrent passed over us clean:

5 ၅ စော်ကားသော ရေတို့သည် ငါတို့အသက် ဝိညာဉ်အပေါ်မှာ ကျော်သွားကြပြီတကား။

then most sure would’ve passed over us clean the wild seething waters.’

6 ၆ သူတို့သွားနှင့် ကိုက်ခဲရာဘို့ ငါတို့ကို အပ်တော် မမူသော ထာဝရဘုရားသည် မင်္ဂလာရှိတော်မူစေ သတည်း။

Blest be the Lord who has given us not to be torn by their teeth.

7 ၇ ငှက်သည် မုဆိုးတို့၏ ကျော့ကွင်းထဲက လွတ် သကဲ့သို့၊ ငါတို့အသက်သည် လွတ်လျက်ရှိ၏။ ကျော့ကွင်း ပြတ်၍ ငါတို့သည် လွတ်ကြပြီ။

We are like a bird just escaped from the snare of the fowler. The snare is broken, and we are escaped.

8 ၈ ကောင်းကင်နှင့် မြေကြီးကို ဖန်ဆင်းတော် မူသော ထာဝရဘုရား၏ နာမတော်အားဖြင့်၊ ငါတို့သည် မစခြင်းကျေးဇူးကို ခံရကြသတည်း။

Our help is the name of the Lord, the Creator of heaven and earth.
