၂ ဓမ္မရာဇဝင် 19
And it was told to Joab, Behold, the king weepeth and mourneth for Absalom.
2 ၂ ထိုနေ့၌အောင်ပွဲသည် လူအပေါင်းတို့တွင် ဝမ်းနည်းစရာအကြောင်းဖြစ်ပြန်၏။ ရှင်ဘုရင်သည် သားတော်ကြောင့် စိတ်ကြင်နာတော်မူသည်ကို လူအပေါင်းတို့သည် ထိုနေ့၌ ကြား၍၊
And the victory that day was [turned] into mourning to all the people: for the people heard it said that day how the king was grieved for his son.
3 ၃ စစ်တိုက်ရာမှပြေးသော သူတို့သည် ရှက်၍ တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာ ပြေးတတ်သကဲ့သို့ မြို့ထဲသို့ တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာ ပြေးဝင်ကြ၏။
And the people withdrew by stealth that day into the city, as people being ashamed steal away when they flee in battle.
4 ၄ ရှင်ဘုရင်သည်လည်း မျက်နှာကိုဖုံး၍၊ အိုငါ့သား အဗရှလုံ၊ အိုအဗ ရှလုံ၊ ငါ့သား၊ ငါ့သားဟု ကြီးသောအသံ နှင့် ငိုကြွေးတော်မူ၏။
But the king covered his face, and the king cried with a loud voice, O my son Absalom, O Absalom, my son, my son!
5 ၅ ယွာဘသည် ရှင်ဘုရင်ထံ အိမ်ထဲသို့ဝင်၍၊ ကိုယ်တော်၏ အသက်မှစ၍ သားတော် သမီးတော်၊ မိဖုရားမောင်းမမိဿံတို့၏ အသက်ကို ကယ်တင်သော ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်တို့ကို ယနေ့အရှက်ကွဲစေတော်မူပြီ။
And Joab came into the house to the king, and said, thou hast shamed this day the faces of all thy servants, who this day have saved thy life, and the lives of thy sons and of thy daughters, and the lives of thy wives, and the lives of thy concubines;
6 ၆ ရန်သူတို့ကိုချစ်၍ အဆွေခင်ပွန်းတို့ကို မုန်းတော်မူ၏။ မှူးမတ်များ၊ ကျွန်များတို့ကို ပမာဏပြုတော် မမူကြောင်းကို ယနေ့ထင်ရှားစွာပြတော်မူပြီ။ အဗရှလုံသည် အသက်ရှင်၍ ကျွန်တော်မျိုးအပေါင်းတို့သည် ယနေ့သေလျှင် အားရတော်မူလိမ့်မည်ဟု ယနေ့ ကျွန်တော်သိမြင်ပါ၏။
In that thou lovest thy enemies, and hatest thy friends. For thou hast declared this day, that thou regardest neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if Absalom had lived, and all we had died this day, then it had pleased thee well.
7 ၇ ယခုမှာထတော်မူပါ။ ကြွ၍ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန် တို့အား နှစ်သိမ့်စကားကို ပြောတော်မူပါ။ ကြွတော်မမူ လျှင် ယနေ့ညမှာ အထံတော်၌ လူတယောက်မျှမနေပါ။ ထိုအမှုသည် ငယ်သောအရွယ်မှစ၍ ယခုတိုင်အောင် ကိုယ်တော်၌ ဖြစ်လေသမျှသော အမှုထက်သာ၍ ဆိုးပါလိမ့်မည်ဟု ထာဝရဘုရားကို တိုင်တည်၍ ကျွန်တော်ကျိန်ဆိုပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်သော်၊
Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably to thy servants: for I swear by the LORD, if thou shalt not go forth, there will not tarry one with thee this night: and that will be worse to thee than all the evil that hath befallen thee from thy youth until now.
8 ၈ ရှင်ဘုရင်သည် ထ၍တံခါးဝ၌ထိုင်တော်မူ၏။ ရှင်ဘုရင်သည် တံခါးဝ၌ထိုင်တော်မူသည်ကို လူအပေါင်း တို့သည် ကြားသောအခါ အထံတော်သို့ ချဉ်းကပ်ကြ၏။ ဣသရေလလူများမူကား မိမိတို့နေရာသို့ ပြေးသွားကြပြီ။
Then the king rose, and sat in the gate. And they told to all the people, saying, Behold, the king doth sit in the gate. And all the people came before the king: for Israel had fled every man to his tent.
9 ၉ ထိုနောက်၊ ဣသရေလအမျိုးအနွယ်အပေါင်းတို့က၊ ရှင်ဘုရင်သည် ဖိလိတ္တိလူအစရှိသော ရန်သူ တို့လက်မှ ငါတို့ကိုကယ်နှုတ်တော်မူပြီ။ယခုမှာ အဗရှလုံကြောင့် နိုင်ငံတော်မှ ထွက်ပြေးတော်မူရ၏။
And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us from the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us from the hand of the Philistines; and now he hath fled out of the land for Absalom.
10 ၁၀ ငါတို့ ဘိသိက်ပေး၍ ချီးမြှောက်သော အဗရှလုံ သည် စစ်တိုက်ပွဲ၌သေပြီ။ ယခုမှာ ရှင်ဘုရင်ကို တဖန် ဆောင်ခဲ့ရမည်ဟုမဆို၊ အဘယ်ကြောင့် တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာ နေကြသနည်းဟု အချင်းချင်းအပြစ်တင်ကြ၏။
And Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why speak ye not a word of bringing the king back?
11 ၁၁ ဒါဝိဒ်မင်းကြီးသည်လည်း ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် ဖာဒုတ်နှင့် အဗျာသာတို့ထံသို့ လူကိုစေလွှတ်၍၊ ယုဒ အမျိုးသက်ကြီးသူတို့ထံသို့ သွား၍ပြောရမည်ကား၊ ရှင်ဘုရင်ကို နန်းတော်သို့ ပြန်ပို့ရမည်အမှုမှာ သင်တို့သည် အဘယ်ကြောင့် နောက်ကျကြသနည်း။ ရှင်ဘုရင်သည် စံနန်းတော်၌ နေစဉ်အခါ၊ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသား အပေါင်းတို့ ပြောတတ်သောစကားကို ကြားတော်မူပြီ။
And king David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak to the elders of Judah, saying, Why are ye the last to bring the king back to his house? seeing the speech of all Israel is come to the king, [even] to his house.
12 ၁၂ သင်တို့သည် ငါ့ညီအစ်ကို၊ ငါ့အရိုး၊ ငါ့အသား ဖြစ်၍၊ ရှင်ဘုရင်ကို ပြန်ပို့မည့်အမှုမှာ အဘယ်ကြောင့် နောက်ကျကြသနည်းဟူ၍၎င်း၊
Ye [are] my brethren, ye [are] my bones and my flesh: why then are ye the last to bring back the king?
13 ၁၃ အာမသအားလည်း၊ သင်သည် ငါ့အသား ငါ့အရိုးတို့ အဝင်ဖြစ်သည်မဟုတ်လော။ သင်သည် ငါ့ရှေ့ မှာ ယွာဘ၏ကိုယ်စားအစဉ် ဗိုလ်ချုပ်မင်းမဖြစ်လျှင် ထိုမျှမက ဘုရားသခင်သည် ငါ၌ပြုတော်မူစေသတည်း ဟူ၍၎င်း၊ ပြောကြလော့ဟု မှာလိုက်တော်မူ၏။
And say ye to Amasa, [Art] thou not of my bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if thou be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.
14 ၁၄ ထိုသို့ယုဒအမျိုးသား အပေါင်းတို့ကို တညီ တညွတ်တည်း နှလုံးညွတ်စေတော်မူသဖြင့်၊ သူတို့က ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်အပေါင်းတို့နှင့်တကွ ကိုယ်တော်တိုင် ပြန်လာတော်မူပါဟု ရှင်ဘုရင်အား လျှောက်စေကြ၏။
And he bowed the heart of all the men of Judah, even as [the heart of] one man; so that they sent [this word] to the king, Return thou, and all thy servants.
15 ၁၅ ထိုအခါ ရှင်ဘုရင်သည် ပြန်၍ယော်ဒန်မြစ်သို့ ရောက်တော်မူ၏။ ယုဒအမျိုးသည် ရှင်ဘုရင်ကို ခရီး ဦးကြိုပြု၍ ယော်ဒန်မြစ်တဘက်သို့ပို့ခြင်းငှါ ဂိလဂါလ မြို့သို့ သွားကြ၏။
So the king returned, and came to Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to go to meet the king, to conduct the king over Jordan.
16 ၁၆ ဗင်္ယာမိန်အမျိုးဖြစ်သော ဗာဟုရိမ်မြို့သား ဂေရ၏သားရှိမိသည် ယုဒအမျိုးသားတို့နှင့်အတူ ဒါဝိဒ် မင်းကြီးကို ခရီးဦးကြိုပြုခြင်းငှါ အလျင်အမြန် လိုက်လာ၏။
And Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjaminite, who [was] of Bahurim, hasted and came down with the men of Judah to meet king David.
17 ၁၇ သူနှင့်အတူ ဗင်္ယာမိန်အမျိုးသားတထောင်၊ ရှောလုအဆွေအမျိုး၏ ကျွန်ဇိဘနှင့် သူ၏သားတကျိပ် ငါးယောက်၊ ကျွန်နှစ်ဆယ်တို့သည်လည်း လိုက်လာ၍ ရှင်ဘုရင်ရှေ့တော်၌ ယော်ဒန်မြစ်ကို ကူးကြ၏။
And [there were] a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over Jordan before the king.
18 ၁၈ ကုတို့လှေသည် နန်းတော်သားများကို ပို့ခြင်းငှါ၎င်း၊ အလိုတော်ကိုဆောင်ခြင်းငှါ၎င်း၊ သွားလာလျက် ရှိ၏။ ယော်ဒန်မြစ်ကို ကူးတော်မူသောအခါ၊ ဂေရ၏သား ရှိမိသည် ရှေ့တော်၌ပြပ်ဝပ်၍၊
And there went over a ferry-boat to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he came over Jordan;
19 ၁၉ ကျွန်တော်အရှင်သည် ကျွန်တော်ကို အပြစ် ပေးတော်မမူပါနှင့်။ အရှင်မင်းကြီးသည် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့မှ ထွက်တော်မူသောနေ့၌ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်သည် လွန်ကျူး စွာ ပြုမိသောအမှုကို မှတ်တော်မမူပါနှင့်။ နှလုံးသွင်း တော်မမူပါနှင့်။
And said to the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity to me, neither do thou remember that which thy servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.
20 ၂၀ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်သည် ပြစ်မှားမိသည်ကို ကိုယ် တော်ကျွန်သိပါ၏။ သို့သော်လည်း ယောသပ်အမျိုးသား အပေါင်းတို့အရင်၊ ကျွန်တော်သည် ယနေ့အရှင် မင်းကြီးကို ခရီးဦးကြိုပြုခြင်းငှါ လာပါပြီဟု လျှောက် လေ၏။
For thy servant doth know that I have sinned: therefore behold, I have come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.
21 ၂၁ ဇေရုယာသား အဘိရှဲကလည်း၊ ရှိမိသည် ထာဝရဘုရားအခွင့်နှင့် ဘိသိက်ခံသောအရှင်ကို ကျိန်ဆဲ သောကြောင့် အသေသတ်ခြင်းကို ခံရမည် မဟုတ်လော ဟုဆိုသော်၊
But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD'S anointed?
22 ၂၂ ဒါဝိဒ်က၊ အိုဇေရုယာသားတို့၊ သင်တို့သည် ယနေ့ ငါ့ရန်သူလုပ်မည်အကြောင်း ငါနှင့်အဘယ်သို့ ဆိုင်ကြသနည်း။ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတစုံတယောက် သည် ယနေ့အသေသတ်ခြင်းကို ခံရမည်လော။ ငါသည် ယနေ့ဣသရေလရှင်ဘုရင်ဖြစ်သည်ကို ငါသိသည် မဟုတ်လောဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၍၊
And David said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah, that ye should this day be adversaries to me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I [am] this day king over Israel?
Therefore the king said to Shimei, Thou shalt not die. And the king swore to him.
24 ၂၄ ရှောလု၏သားမေဖိဗောရှက်သည်လည်း ရှင် ဘုရင်ကို ခရီးဦးကြိုပြုခြင်းငှါ လာ၏။ ရှင်ဘုရင်ထွက် သောနေ့မှစ၍ ငြိမ်ဝပ်စွာ ပြန်လာတော် မမူမှီတိုင်အောင်၊ သူသည် ခြေတို့ကိုမပြုစု၊ မုတ်ဆိတ်ကို မပြင်ဆင်၊ အဝတ် ကို မလျှော်ဘဲနေပြီ။
And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king, and had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came [again] in peace.
25 ၂၅ ရှင်ဘုရင်ကို ခရီးဦးကြိုပြုခြင်းငှါ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့ သို့ ရောက်လာသောအခါ၊ ရှင်ဘုရင်က မေဖိဗောရှက် ငါနှင့်အတူ အဘယ်ကြောင့် မလိုက်သနည်းဟု မေးတော် မူလျှင်၊
And it came to pass, when he had come to Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said to him, Why didst thou not go with me, Mephibosheth?
26 ၂၆ အရှင်မင်းကြီး၊ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်သည် ခြေဆွံ့ သောကြောင့် မြည်းစီး ၍ ကိုယ်တော်ထံသို့သွားခြင်းငှါ မြည်းကိုကုန်းနှီးတင်မည်ဟု ကြံစဉ်အခါ၊ ကျွန်တော်ကျွန် သည် ကျွန်တော်ကို လှည့်စားပါ၏။
And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me: for thy servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that I may ride on it, and go to the king; because thy servant [is] lame.
27 ၂၇ အရှင်မင်းကြီးထံတော်၌ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်ကို ကုန်းတိုက်ပါပြီ။ သို့ရာတွင် အရှင်မင်းကြီးသည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန်ကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏။ စိတ်တော်ရှိသည်အတိုင်း ပြုတော်မူပါ။
And he hath slandered thy servant to my lord the king; but my lord the king [is] as an angel of God: do therefore [what is] good in thy eyes.
28 ၂၈ ကျွန်တော်အဆွေအမျိုးအပေါင်းတို့သည် အရှင် မင်းကြီးရှေ့တော်မှာ လူသေဖြစ်ကြသော်လည်း၊ စားပွဲ တော်၌ စားသောသူတို့နှင့် အတူကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်ကို နေရာပေးတော်မူပြီ။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ ရှင်ဘုရင်ထံတော်၌ ကျွန်တော်မြည်တမ်းရသော အခွင့်သည် အဘယ်သို့ ရှိပါသနည်းဟု ပြန်လျှောက်သော်၊
For all [of] my father's house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet didst thou set thy servant among them that ate at thy own table. What right therefore have I yet to cry any more to the king?
29 ၂၉ ရှင်ဘုရင်က သင်၏အမှုအရာတို့ကို အဘယ် ပြောစရာရှိသနည်း။ သင်နှင့်ဇိဘသည်မြေကို ဝေ၍ ယူရကြမည်ငါစီရင်ပြီဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
And the king said to him, Why speakest thou any more of thy matters? I have said, Thou and Ziba divide the land.
30 ၃၀ မေဖိဗောရှင်ကလည်း၊ အရှင်မင်းကြီးသည် နန်းတော်သို့တဖန် ငြိမ်ဝပ်စွာရောက်တော်မူသော ကြောင့်၊ သူသည်အလုံစုံတို့ကိုပင် ယူပါစေဟု လျှောက် လေ၏။
And Mephibosheth said to the king, Yes, let him take all, forasmuch as my lord the king hath come again in peace to his own house.
31 ၃၁ ဂိလဒ်ပြည်သား ဗာဇိလဲသည်လည်း ရောဂေလိမ်မြို့မှလာ၍ ရှင်ဘုရင်ကို ယော်ဒန်မြစ်တဘက်သို့ ပို့ခြင်းငှါ ကိုယ်တော်နှင့်အတူ ကူးလေ၏။
And Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim, and went over Jordan with the king, to conduct him over Jordan.
32 ၃၂ ဗာဇိလဲသည် အသက်ရှစ်ဆယ်ရှိ၍ အိုသော သူဖြစ်၏။ ရှင်ဘုရင်သည်မဟာနိမ်မြို့မှာ တပ်ချသော ကာလပတ်လုံးရှင်ဘုရင်ကို လုပ်ကျွေး၏။ အလွန်ရတတ် သော သူလည်းဖြစ်၏။
Now Barzillai was a very aged man, [even] eighty years old: and he had provided the king with sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim: for he [was] a very great man.
33 ၃၃ ရှင်ဘုရင်ကလည်း ငါနှင့်အတူ လိုက်လော့။ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့၌ သင့်ကိုငါနှင့်အတူ ငါလုပ်ကျွေးမည်ဟု ဗာဇိလဲအား အမိန့်ရှိလျှင်၊
And the king said to Barzillai, Come thou over with me, and I will feed thee with me in Jerusalem.
34 ၃၄ ဗာဇိလဲက၊ အရှင်မင်းကြီးနှင့်အတူ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့သို့ သွားရမည်အကြောင်း ကျွန်တော်အသက်သည် အဘယ်မျှလောက်ကျန်ကြွင်းပါသေးသနည်း။
And Barzillai said to the king, How long have I to live, that I should go up with the king to Jerusalem?
35 ၃၅ ယနေ့ကျွန်တော်အသက် ရှစ်ဆယ်ရှိပါပြီ။ ကောင်းမကောင်းကို ကျွန်တော် ပိုင်းခြား၍ သိနိုင်ပါ မည်လော။ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်သည် အစားအသောက် အရသာကို မြည်းနိုင်ပါမည်လော။ သီချင်းသည် ယောက်ျား၊ သီးချင်းသည်မိန်းမဆိုသောအသံကိုကြားနိုင်ပါမည်လော။ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်သည်အရှင်မင်းကြီးကို အဘယ်ကြောင့် နှောင့်ရှက်ရပါမည်နည်း။
I [am] this day eighty years old: [and] can I discern between good and evil? can thy servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing-men and singing-women? why then should thy servant be yet a burden to my lord the king?
36 ၃၆ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်သည် အရှင်မင်းကြီးနှင့် အတူ ယော်ဒန်မြစ်တဘက်သို့ အနည်းငယ်လိုက်ပါမည်။ ရှင်ဘုရင်သည် ဤမျှလောက်ကြီးစွာသော ဆုကို အဘယ် ကြောင့် ချပေးတော်မူမည်နည်း။
Thy servant will go a little way over Jordan with the king: and why should the king recompense me with such a reward?
37 ၃၇ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်သည် နေရင်းမြို့တွင် မိဘသင်္ချိုင်းနားမှာ သေရမည်အကြောင်း၊ ပြန်သွားရသော အခွင့်ကို ပေးတော်မူပါ။ သို့ရာတွင် ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်ခိမဟံ ရှိပါ၏။ အရှင်မင်းကြီးနှင့်အတူ လိုက်စေတော်မူပါ။ စိတ် တော်ရှိသည်အတိုင်းသူ၌ ပြုတော်မူပါဟု လျှောက် လေ၏။
Let thy servant, I pray thee, return again, that I may die in my own city, [and be buried] by the grave of my father and of my mother. But behold thy servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good to thee.
38 ၃၈ ရှင်ဘုရင်ကလည်း၊ ခိမဟံသည် ငါနှင့်အတူ လိုက်ရမည်။ သင် အလိုရှိသည်အတိုင်းသူ၌ ငါပြုမည်။ သင်တောင်းသမျှကိုလည်း သင့်အဘို့ ငါပြုမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good to thee: and whatever thou shalt require of me, [that] will I do for thee.
39 ၃၉ လူအပေါင်းတို့သည်လည်း ယော်ဒန်မြစ်ကို ကူးကြ၏။ ရှင်ဘုရင်သည် ကိုယ်တိုင်ကူးပြီးမှ၊ ဗာဇိလဲကို နမ်း၍ ကောင်းကြီးပေးတော်မူသဖြင့်၊ သူသည် မိမိနေရာ သို့ ပြန်သွား၏။
And all the people went over Jordan. And when the king had come over, the king kissed Barzillai, and blessed him; and he returned to his own place.
40 ၄၀ ရှင်ဘုရင်သည် ဂိလဂါလမြို့သို့ ကြွတော်မူ၏။ ခိမဟံသည်လည်း လိုက်လေ၏။ ယုဒအမျိုးသားရှိသမျှ တို့နှင့် ဣသရေလအမျိုး သားတဝက်တို့သည် ရှင်ဘုရင် ကို ပို့ကြ၏။
Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went on with him: and all the people of Judah conducted the king, and also half the people of Israel.
41 ၄၁ တဖန်ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားအပေါင်းတို့သည် ရှင်ဘုရင်ထံတော်သို့လာ၍၊ ကျွန်တော်တို့ ညီအစ်ကိုဖြစ် သော ယုဒအမျိုးသားတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကို ခိုးယူ၍ ကိုယ်တော်နှင့်တကွ နန်းတော်သားကိုယ်တော်၏ လူအပေါင်းတို့ကို အဘယ်ကြောင့်ယော်ဒန်မြစ်တဘက်သို့ ပို့ရကြမည် နည်းဟုလျှောက်ကြသော်၊
And behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said to him, Why have our brethren the men of Judah stolen thee away, and have brought the king, and his household, and all David's men with him, over Jordan?
42 ၄၂ ယုဒအမျိုးသားအပေါင်းတို့က၊ ရှင်ဘုရင်သည် ငါတို့နှင့် ပေါက်ဘော်တော်သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ဤအမှု၌ သင်တို့ သည် အဘယ်ကြောင့် စိတ်ဆိုးကြသနည်း။ ရှင်ဘုရင်၏ ရိက္ခာတော်ကို ငါတို့စားကြသလော။ ငါတို့အား တစုံတခု သော ဆုကိုပေးတော်မူသလောဟု ဣသရေလအမျိုး သားတို့အား ပြန်ပြောကြ၏။
And all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, Because the king [is] near of kin to us: why then are ye angry for this matter? have we eaten at all at the king's [cost]? or hath he given us any gift?
43 ၄၃ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့ကလည်း၊ ငါတို့သည် ရှင်ဘုရင်၌ ဆယ်ဘို့တို့ကိုဆိုင်ကြ၏။ ဒါဝိဒ်အမျိုးကို သင်တို့ဆိုင်သည်ထက် ငါတို့ သာ၍ဆိုင်ကြ၏။ ရှင်ဘုရင်ကို ပြန်ပို့ခြင်းအမှုတွင် ငါတို့နှင့်ရှေးဦးစွာ မတိုင်ပင်ဘဲ အဘယ်ကြောင့် ငါတို့ကို မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုကြသနည်းဟု ယုဒအမျိုးသားတို့ကို ပြန်ပြောကြ၏။ သို့ရာတွင် ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့ စကားထက် ယုဒအမျိုးသားတို့ စကားသည်သာ၍ ခိုင်ခံ့၏။
And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more [right] in David than ye: why then did ye despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.
