၁ တိမောသေ 4
1 ၁ ဝိညာဉ်တော်သည် အတည့်အလင်းဗျာဒိတ်ထားတော်မူသည်ကား၊ နောင်ကာလ၌ ဩတ္တပ္ပစိတ်တွင် သံပူနှင့်ခတ်ခြင်းကိုခံပြီးလျှင်၊ မုသာစကားကို ပြောတတ်သော သူတို့၏ လျှို့ဝှက်ခြင်းအားဖြင့်၊ လူအချို့တို့သည် ယုံကြည်ခြင်းကို စွန့်ပယ်၍၊
But the Spirit distinctly says that in later times there will be some who will fall away from the faith, and devote their attention to misleading spirits, and to the teaching of demons,
2 ၂ လှည့်ဖြားတတ်သော စိတ်ဝိညာဉ်တို့၌၎င်း၊ နတ်ဘုရားတို့နှင့်စပ်ဆိုင်သော ဩဝါဒ တို့၌၎င်း မှီဝဲဆည်းကပ်ကြလိမ့်မည်။
who will make use of the hypocrisy of lying teachers. These people’s consciences are seared,
3 ၃ မင်္ဂလာဆောင်ခြင်းအမှုကို မပြုရဟူ၍၎င်း၊ ယုံကြည်၍ သမ္မာတရားကို သိသောသူတို့သည် ကျေးဇူး တော်ကို သိသောစိတ်နှင့်တကွ သုံးဘို့ရာ၊ ဘုရားသခင် ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူသော အစာမျိုးကိုရှောင်ရမည် ဟူ၍၎င်း ပညတ်ထားကြလိမ့်မည်။
and they discourage marriage and enjoin abstinence from certain kinds of food; though God created these foods to be enjoyed thankfully by those who hold the faith and have attained a full knowledge of the truth.
Everything created by God is good, and there in nothing that need be rejected – provided only that it is received thankfully;
5 ၅ ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို သိသောစိတ်နှင့်ခံယူလျှင်၊ အဘယ်အရာကိုမျှ မပယ်မရှောင်ရ။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ နှုတ်ကပတ်တရားတော်အားဖြင့်၎င်း၊ ဆုတောင်းခြင်းအားဖြင့်၎င်း၊ အရာရာတို့သည် စင်ကြယ် လျက်ရှိကြ၏။
for it is consecrated by God’s blessing and by prayer.
6 ၆ ဤစကားများကို သင်သည် ညီအစ်ကိုတို့အား ကြားပြောလျှင်၊ ယုံကြည်ချက်စကား၊ ကိုယ်တိုင် ရှာဖွေလေ့ကျက်သော သမ္မာဩဝါဒစကားနှင့် မွေးပြုခြင်းကို ခံသောယေရှုခရစ်၏ ဓမ္မဆရာကောင်း ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။
Put all this before the followers, and you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, sustained by the precepts of the faith and of that good teaching by which you have guided your life.
7 ၇ မိန်းမအိုပြောတတ်သော တရားမဲ့ဖြစ်သော ဒဏ္ဍာရီစကားကို ပယ်ရှား၍ ဘုရားဝတ်၌ မွေ့လျော်ခြင်း အားဖြင့် ကိုယ်ကိုကိုယ်ဆုံးမလော့။
As for profane legends and old wives’ tales, leave them alone. Train yourself to lead a religious life;
8 ၈ ကိုယ်ကာယကိုဆုံးမခြင်းသည် များစွာသော အကျိုးကို မပေးတတ်။ ဘုရားဝတ်၌ မွေ့လျော်ခြင်း မူကား၊ ယခုဘဝ၊ နောင်ဘဝနှင့် စပ်ဆိုင်သော ဂတိတော်ကို ရသည်ဖြစ်၍၊
for while the training of the body is of service in some respects, religion is of service in all, carrying with it, as it does, a promise of life both here and hereafter.
How true that saying is and worthy of the fullest acceptance!
10 ၁၀ ထိုကြောင့်၊ အသက်ရှင်တော်မူထသော၊ လူအပေါင်းတို့ကို အထူးသဖြင့် ကယ်မတော်မူသော ဘုရား သခင်၌ ငါတို့သည်ကိုးစားသည်နှင့်အညီ၊ ပင်ပန်းစွာ အမှုဆောင်ရွက်ကြ၏။ ကဲ့ရဲ့ခြင်းကိုလည်း ခံရကြ၏။
With that aim we toil and struggle, for we have set our hopes on the living God, who is the Saviour of all, and especially of those who hold the faith.
Remember these things in your teaching.
12 ၁၂ သင်၏ အသက်အရွယ်နုပျိုသည်ကို အဘယ်သူမျှ မထီမဲ့မြင် မပြုစေနှင့်။ စကားပြောခြင်း၊ ကျင့်ကြံပြုမူ ခြင်း၊ သူတပါးကိုချစ်ခြင်း၊ ဝိညာဉ်သဘောရှိခြင်း၊ သစ္စာစောင့်ခြင်း၊ စင်ကြယ်ခြင်းအရာမှာ၊ ယုံကြည်သောသူတို့အား ပုံသက်သေကို ပြလော့။
Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but, by your conversation, your conduct, your love, your faith, and your purity, be an example to those who hold the faith.
13 ၁၃ ငါမလာမှီတိုင်အောင်၊ ကျမ်းစာကိုဘတ်ခြင်း၊ တိုက်တွန်းသွေးဆောင်ခြင်း၊ ဆုံးမဩဝါဒပေးခြင်းကို ကြိုးစား၍ ပြုလော့။
Until I come, apply yourself to public reading, preaching, and teaching.
14 ၁၄ ဗျာဒိတ်တော်ကို ခံ၍၊ သင်းအုပ်များတို့သည် လက်တင်ခြင်းနှင့်တကွ၊ သင်၌အပ်ပေးသော ဆုကျေးဇူး ကို မပြုစုဘဲမနေနှင့်။
Do not neglect the divine gift within you, which was given you, amid many a prediction, when the hands of the church elders were laid on your head.
15 ၁၅ သင်၏တိုးပွါးခြင်းကို လူအပေါင်းတို့အား ထင်ရှားစေခြင်းငှါ။ ဤအရာများကို စိတ်စွဲလမ်း၍ ကြိုးစားအားထုတ်လော့။
Practice these things, devote yourself to them, so that your progress may be plain to everyone.
16 ၁၆ ကိုယ်ကို၎င်း၊ ကိုယ်ဆုံးမဩဝါဒကို၎င်း သတိပြု၍ အမြဲတည်နေလော့။ ထိုသို့ပြုလျှင်၊ ကိုယ်ကို၎င်း၊ နားထောင်သောသူတို့ကို၎င်းကယ်တင်လိမ့်မည်။
Look to yourself as well as to your teaching. Persevere in this, for your doing so will mean salvation for yourself as well as for your hearers.
