योएल 2
1 १ सियोनात कर्णा फुंका, आणि माझ्या पवित्र पर्वतावरून मोठ्याने गजर करा! या देशात राहणाऱ्यांचा भीतीने थरकाप उडू द्या, कारण परमेश्वराचा दिवस येत आहे; खरोखर, तो जवळ आहे.
Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm on my holy mountain. Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of YHWH is coming, for it is near.
2 २ तो काळोखाचा आणि अंधाराचा प्रकाशाचा, तो ढगाळ व दाट अंधकाराचा दिवस आहे. तो पर्वतावर पसरलेल्या पहाटेसारखा, त्याचे प्रचंड व शक्तीशाली सैन्य जवळ येत आहे. त्यांच्यासारखे सैन्य कधी झाले नाही, आणि त्यानंतरही अनेक पिढ्या, पुन्हा कधीच होणार नाही.
A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness. As blackness spreading on the mountains a great and powerful people; there has never been the like, neither will there be any more after them, even after the years of many generations.

A fire devours before them, and behind them, a flame burns. The land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them, a desolate wilderness. Yes, and no one has escaped them.
The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses, and as horsemen, so do they run.

Like the noise of chariots on the tops of the mountains do they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devours the stubble, as a mighty people drawn up for battle.
At their presence the peoples are in anguish. All faces have grown pale.
7 ७ ते वीरासारखे धावतात, ते सैनिकासारखे तटांवर चढतात, ते प्रत्येक आपल्या मार्गात चालत जातात, आणि आपली रांग तोडीत नाहीत.
They run like mighty men. They climb the wall like warriors. They each march in his line, and they do not swerve off course.
8 ८ ते एकमेकांना रेटीत नाहीत. प्रत्येकजण आपल्या वाटेने जातात. ते संरक्षणातून जातात आणि ते रेषेबाहेर जात नाहीत.
Neither does one jostle another; they march everyone in his path, and they burst through the defenses, and do not break ranks.
9 ९ ते नगरातून धावत फिरतात. ते तटावर धावतात. ते चढून घरात शिरतात. चोराप्रमाणे ते खिडक्यांतून आत जातात.
They rush on the city. They run on the wall. They climb up into the houses. They enter in at the windows like thieves.
10 १० त्यांच्यापुढे पृथ्वी कापते, आकाश थरथरते, सूर्य आणि चंद्र काळे पडतात आणि तारे तळपण्याचे थांबतात.
The earth quakes before them. The heavens tremble. The sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining.
11 ११ परमेश्वर आपल्या सैन्यापुढे आपला आवाज उंचावतो, त्याचे योद्धे खूप असंख्य आहेत, कारण जो कोणी त्याची आज्ञा आमलात आणतो तो बलशाली आहे. कारण परमेश्वराचा दिवस हा मोठा आणि फार भयंकर आहे. त्यामध्ये कोण टिकू शकेल?
YHWH thunders his voice before his army; for his forces are very great; for he is strong who obeys his command; for the day of YHWH is great and very awesome, and who can endure it?
12 १२ “तरी आताही” परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “तुम्ही आपल्या सर्व मनापासून माझ्याकडे परत या. रडा, शोक करा आणि उपवास करा.”
"Yet even now," says YHWH, "turn to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning."
13 १३ आणि तुम्ही आपले कपडेच फाडू नका, तर आपले हृदय फाडा आणि परमेश्वर तुमचा देव याकडे वळा, कारण तो कृपाळू व दयाळू आहे, तो रागावण्यास मंद आणि विपुल प्रेम करणारा आहे, आणि त्याने लादलेल्या शिक्षेपासून तो मागे फिरेल.
Tear your heart, and not your garments, and turn to YHWH, your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and relents from sending calamity.
14 १४ परमेश्वर तुमचा देव याला कळवळा येऊन आणि कदाचित तो मागे वळेल, आणि त्याच्यामागे आपल्यासाठी आशीर्वादही ठेवून जाईल की, काय कोण जाणे? त्यास अन्नार्पण व पेयार्पण ही देता येतील?
Who knows? He may turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind him, even a meal offering and a drink offering to YHWH, your God.
Blow the trumpet in Zion. Sanctify a fast. Call a solemn assembly.
16 १६ लोकांस एकत्र जमवा, मंडळीला पवित्र करा. वडिलांना एकत्र करा, मुलांना आणि अंगावर दूध पिणाऱ्या अर्भकाना एकत्र जमवा. वर आपल्या खोलीतून आणि वधूही आपल्या मंडपातून बाहेर येवो.
Gather the people. Sanctify the assembly. Assemble the elders. Gather the children, and those who suck the breasts. Let the bridegroom go forth from his room, and the bride out of her chamber.
17 १७ याजकांना, परमेश्वराच्या सेवकांना, द्वारमंडप व वेदी यांच्यामध्ये रडू द्या. त्यांनी म्हणावे, परमेश्वरा, आपल्या लोकांवर दया कर. आणि आपल्या वतनाची अप्रतिष्ठा होऊ देऊ नकोस. म्हणून राष्ट्रांनी त्यांच्यावर अधिकार करावा. राष्ट्रांनी आपसात असे कां म्हणावे त्यांचा देव कोठे आहे?
Let the priests, the ministers of YHWH, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, "Spare your people, YHWH, and do not give your heritage to mockery, a byword among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, 'Where is their God?'"
Then YHWH was jealous for his land, And had pity on his people.
19 १९ परमेश्वराने आपल्या लोकांस उत्तर देऊन म्हटले, “पाहा, मी तुमच्याकडे धान्य, नवा द्राक्षरस आणि तेल पाठवीन. तुम्ही त्यांनी तृप्त व्हाल, आणि ह्यापुढे, राष्ट्रात तुमची निंदा मी होऊ देणार नाही.
YHWH answered his people, "Look, I will send you grain, new wine, and oil, and you will eat and you will be satisfied with them; and I will no more make you a reproach among the nations.
20 २० मी उत्तरेकडून हल्ला करणाऱ्यांना तुम्हापासून दूर करीन, आणि मी त्यांना रूक्ष आणि ओसाड देशात घालवून देईन. त्यांची आघाडी पूर्व समुद्रात आणि त्यांची पिछाडी पश्चिम समुद्रात जाईल. त्यांचा दुर्गध चढेल. आणि तेथे वाईट दुर्गंधी पसरेल. मी महान गोष्टी करीन.”
But I will remove the northern army far away from you, and will drive it into a barren and desolate land, its front into the eastern sea, and its back into the western sea; and its stench will come up, and its bad smell will rise." Surely he has done great things.
Land, do not be afraid. Be glad and rejoice, for YHWH has done great things.
22 २२ रानातल्या प्राण्यांनो, घाबरू नका. कारण रानातील कुरणांत हिरवळ उगवेल, झाडे त्यांचे फळे देतील, आणि अंजिराची झाडे व द्राक्षवेली आपले पूर्ण पीक देतील.
Do not be afraid, you animals of the field; for the pastures of the wilderness spring up, for the tree bears its fruit. The fig tree and the vine yield their strength.
23 २३ म्हणून सियोनवासीयांनो, आनंदीत व्हा. आणि परमेश्वर तुमच्या देवामध्ये उल्हासित व्हा. कारण तुम्हास हितकर होईल इतका आगोटीचा पाऊस तो देतो, तो पहिली पर्जन्यवृष्टी योग्य प्रमाणाने देतो, आगोटीचा व वळवाचा पाऊस पाडतो.
"Be glad then, you people of Zion, and rejoice in YHWH, your God; for he gives you the former rain in just measure, and he causes the rain to come down for you, the former rain and the latter rain, as before.
The threshing floors will be full of wheat, and the vats will overflow with new wine and oil.
25 २५ मी, माझे सैन्य तुमच्याविरुध्द पाठवले. तुमचे जे काही होते ते, नाकतोडे, टोळ, कुसरूड व घुले यांनी खाल्ले. मी, तुमच्या संकटाच्या वर्षाची भरपाई करीन.
I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the great locust, the grasshopper, and the caterpillar, my great army, which I sent among you.
26 २६ मग तुम्हास भरपूर खायला मिळेल. तुम्ही तृप्त व्हाल. आणि तुम्ही, तुमच्या परमेश्वर देवाची, स्तुती कराल. त्याने तुमच्यासाठी आश्चर्यकारक गोष्टी केल्या आहेत. माझ्या लोकांस पुन्हा कधीही लज्जित व्हावे लागणार नाही.
You will have plenty to eat, and be satisfied, and will praise the name of YHWH, your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and my people will never be put to shame.
27 २७ मी इस्राएलाच्या बाजूने आहे हे तुम्हास समजेल. आणि मी परमेश्वर म्हणजे तुमचा देव आहे, आणि दुसरा कोणीच नाही. माझ्या लोकांस पुन्हा कधीही लज्जित व्हावे लागणार नाही.
You will know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am YHWH, your God, and there is no one else; and my people will never be put to shame.
28 २८ ह्यानंतर मी माझा आत्मा सर्व देहावर ओतीन, आणि तुमची मुले आणि तुमच्या मुली भविष्य सांगतील. तुमच्यातील वृद्धांना स्वप्न पडतील. तुमच्यातील तरूणांना दृष्टांत होतील.
"And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions.
And also on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.
And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: blood, fire, and pillars of smoke.
The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and awesome day of YHWH comes.
32 ३२ जसे परमेश्वराने म्हटले, जो कोणी परमेश्वराच्या नावाने हाक मारील तो प्रत्येकजण वाचेल. जे कोणी बचावतील ते सियोन पर्वतावर व यरूशलेमेत राहतील, आणि ज्यांना परमेश्वर बोलावतो, ते बाकी वाचलेल्यात राहतील.
And it will happen that whoever will call on the name of YHWH shall be saved; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as YHWH has said, and among the remnant, those whom YHWH calls.
