2 शमुवेल 7
1 १ राजा दावीद आपल्या नवीन घरात राहू लागला आणि परमेश्वराने त्यास भोवतालच्या सर्व शत्रूंपासून विसावा दिला.
It happened, when the king lived in his house, and the LORD had given him rest from all his enemies all around,
2 २ एकदा नाथान या संदेष्ट्यास दावीद म्हणाला, “इथे मी गंधसरुच्या लाकडापासून केलेल्या डौलदार घरात राहतोय आणि देवाचा कोश मात्र अजूनही राहुटीतच आहे. त्या पवित्र कोशासाठी आता चांगला निवारा बांधायाला हवा.”
that the king said to Nathan the prophet, "See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells within curtains."
Nathan said to the king, "Go, do all that is in your heart; for the LORD is with you."
It happened the same night, that the word of the LORD came to Nathan, saying,
5 ५ “दावीद या माझ्या सेवकाला जाऊन सांग, ‘परमेश्वराचा निरोप असा आहे: माझ्यासाठी निवासस्थान बांधणारा तू नव्हेस.
"Go and tell my servant David, 'Thus says the LORD, "Shall you build me a house for me to dwell in?
6 ६ मी इस्राएल लोकांस मिसरमधून बाहेर काढले त्यावेळी कुठल्या ही घरात राहत नव्हतो, मी राहुटीतूनच फिरलो. तेच माझे घर.
For I have not lived in a house since the day that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have moved around in a tent and in a tabernacle.
7 ७ इस्राएल लोकांबरोबर मी जेथे जेथे गेलो, त्या त्या ठिकाणी, माझ्या इस्राएल लोकांचे मेंढपाळ व्हा म्हणून ज्यांना मी सांगितले त्या इस्राएल वंशातील कोणात्याही अधिकाऱ्याला “कधीही माझ्यासाठी तू गंधसरूचे, घर का बांधले नाहीस?” असे विचारले नाही.
In all places in which I have walked throughout Israel, did I say a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to be shepherd of my people Israel, saying, 'Why have you not built me a house of cedar?'"'
8 ८ शिवाय दावीदाला हे ही सांग सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, “तू कुरणात मेंढरांमागे फिरत होतास तेव्हाच मी तुला निवडले. तेथून तुला काढून मी तुला इस्राएल लोकांचा राजा केले.
Now therefore you shall tell my servant David this, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, "I took you from the sheep pen, from following the sheep, that you should be prince over my people Israel.
9 ९ तू जेथे जेथे गेलास तेथे तेथे मी तुला साथ दिली. तुझ्या शत्रूंचा तुझ्यासाठी पाडाव केला. पृथ्वीवरील इतर महान लोकांप्रमाणे मी तुला सुप्रसिद्ध करीन.
I have been with you wherever you went, and have cut off all your enemies from before you. I will make you a great name, like the name of the great ones who are in the earth.
10 १० माझ्या इस्राएल लोकांसाठी मी जागेची निवड केली. त्यांना राहायला हक्काची जागा दिली, त्यांना रुजवले त्यांना जागोजागी भटकंती करायला लागू नये म्हणून मी हे केले.
I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in their own place, and be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as at the first,
11 ११ इस्राएल लोकांवर मी, परमेश्वर, शास्ते नेमिले होते तेव्हापासून दुर्जनांनी त्यांना त्रास दिला तसे आता घडणार नाही. तुझ्या सर्व शंत्रूपासून मी तुला शांती देतो. मी तुला असे अभिवचन देतो की, तुझे घराणे कायमचे राजघराणे होईल.
and from the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. I will cause you to rest from all your enemies. Moreover the LORD tells you that he will build you a house.
12 १२ तुझे जीवन संपुष्टात आले, म्हणजे तुझ्या मृत्यूनंतर तुझ्या पूर्वजांशेजारी तुझे दफन होईल. पण मी तुझ्या पुत्रापैकीच एकाला राजा करीन.
And it will come about when your days are fulfilled, and you sleep with your fathers, that I will raise up your descendant after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.
He will build a house for my name, and I will establish his throne forever.
14 १४ मी त्याचा पिता आणि तो माझा पुत्र असेल. त्याच्या हातून पाप घडले तर मी त्यास मनुष्याच्या काठीने आणि मनुष्यांच्या पुत्रांच्या चाबकांनी शासन घडवीन.
I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with a human rod, and with the stripes from human beings;
15 १५ पण माझे त्याच्यावरचे प्रेम खंडित होणार नाही. त्याच्यावर माझी कृपादृष्टी राहील. शौलावरील माझा लोभ आणि प्रेम संपुष्टात आले. मी तुझ्याकडे वळलो, तेव्हा तुझ्यासमोर मी त्यास दूर ढकलले. पण तुझ्या घराण्याच्या बाबतीत मी असे करणार नाही.
but my loving kindness I will not take from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before you.
16 १६ राजसत्ता तुझ्याच वंशात चालू राहील याचा विश्वास बाळग. तुझे राज्य अबाधित राहील. तुझे राजासन टिकून राहील.”
And your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before me, and your throne shall be established forever."'"
According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.
18 १८ यानंतर दावीद आत जाऊन परमेश्वरासमोर बसला आणि म्हणाला, “हे प्रभू, परमेश्वरा, मला एवढी किंमत तू का देतोस? माझे घराणे तुला महत्वाचे का वाटते? तू मला एवढे मोठे का केलेस?
Then king David went in and sat before the LORD and said, "Who am I, Lord GOD, and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far?
19 १९ हे प्रभू परमेश्वरा, तुझ्या दृष्टीने ही केवळ लहान गोष्ट आहे; तू आपल्या सेवकाच्या घराण्यासंबंधाने पुढील बर्‍याच काळाचे सांगून ठेवले आहेस; प्रभू परमेश्वरा, हे सर्व तू मानवी व्यवहारासारखे केले आहेस.
This was a small thing in your eyes, Lord GOD, and you have spoken of your servant's house for a great while to come, and you have let me look upon the generation of humankind to come, Lord GOD.
And what more can David add to you concerning the honor which is done to your servant? For you know your servant, LORD.
21 २१ तू करणार म्हणालास, आणि तुला तसे करायची इच्छा आहे; तेव्हा या अदभुत गोष्टी खरोखरच घडतील. मला, तुझ्या सेवकाला, तू त्याची पूर्णकल्पनाही द्यायचे ठरवलेस.
For your servant's sake, and according to your own heart, you have worked all this greatness, to make your servant know it.
22 २२ ह्यास्तव हे माझ्या प्रभू, परमेश्वरा, तू खरोखरच महान आहेस. जे काही आम्ही आमच्या कानांनी आजवर ऐकले आहे, त्यावरून पाहता तुझ्यासमान कोणी नाही. तुझ्याखेरीज अन्य कोणी देव नाही.
Therefore you are great, Lord GOD. For there is none like you, neither is there any God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
23 २३ पृथ्वीच्या पाठीवर इस्राएलसारखे राष्ट्र नाही. इस्राएलाची प्रजा ही खास प्रजा आहे. ती गुलाम होती, तिला तू मिसरमधून सोडवलेस आणि मुक्त केलेस. तिला आपली प्रजा बनवलेस. इस्राएलांसाठी तू महान आणि अद्भूत चमत्कार केलेस.
And who is like your people Israel, the one nation on earth whom God went out to redeem to be a people for himself, and to make a name for yourself, and to do great and awesome deeds by driving out before your people, whom you redeemed for yourself from Egypt, a nation and its gods?
And you established your people Israel for yourself to be your people forever; and you, LORD, became their God.
25 २५ आता तर परमेश्वर देवा, तू या तुझ्या सेवकासाठी काही गोष्टी सिध्दीस नेणार आहेस. तुझ्या वचनाप्रमाणे कृपा करून तसेच होऊ दे. माझा वंश सतत राज्य करू दे.
Now, Lord GOD, the word that you have spoken concerning your servant, and concerning his house, confirm it forever, and do as you have spoken.
26 २६ मग तुझ्या नावाचा महिमा वाढेल. लोक म्हणतील, सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर देवाची इस्राएलवर सत्ता आहे. तुझी सेवा करायला तुझा सेवक दावीद याच्या घराण्याला बळ मिळू दे.
Let your name be magnified forever, saying, 'The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel,' and the house of your servant David shall be established before you.
27 २७ सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वरा, इस्राएलाच्या देवा, तूच हे मला दाखवले आहेस तू म्हणालास, मी तुझ्यासाठी घर बांधीन, म्हणून मी तुझा सेवक तुझ्यापुढे ही प्रार्थना करण्याचे साहस करत आहे.
For you have revealed to your servant, saying, 'I will build you a house.' Therefore your servant has found in his heart to pray this prayer to you.
28 २८ प्रभू परमेश्वरा, तूच आमचा देव आहेस. तुझ्या सांगण्यावर माझा पूर्ण भरंवसा आहे. या सर्व चांगल्या गोष्टी माझ्याबाबतीत, तुझ्या या सेवकाच्या बाबतीत घडणार आहेत असे तू म्हणालास.
"Now, O Lord GOD, you are God, and your words are truth, and you have promised this good thing to your servant.
29 २९ आता माझ्या घराण्याला आशीर्वाद दे. माझा वंश सातत्याने चालू दे. हे प्रभू परमेश्वरा, तूच तसे म्हणाला आहेस आमच्यावर तुझ्या आशीर्वादाचे छत्र कायमचे राहील असा तुझा आशीर्वाद आहे.”
Now therefore let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever before you; for you, Lord GOD, have spoken it. Let the house of your servant be blessed forever with your blessing."
