1 शमुवेल 2
1 १ मग हन्ना प्रार्थना करून म्हणाली, “माझे मन परमेश्वराच्या ठायी आनंद पावत आहे; माझे शिंग परमेश्वराच्या ठायी उंच केले आहे; माझे मुख माझ्या शत्रूविरूद्ध धैर्याने बोलत आहे, कारण तू केलेल्या तारणाने मी आनंदीत होत आहे.
My heart is established in the Lord, my horn is exalted in my God; my mouth is enlarged over my enemies, I have rejoiced in thy salvation.
For there is none holy as the Lord, and there is none righteous as our God; there is none holy besides thee.
3 ३ अति गर्विष्ठपणाने आणखी बढाई मारू नका; तुमच्या तोंडातून उद्धटपणाचे भाषण न निघो. कारण परमेश्वर ज्ञानाचा देव आहे; त्याच्याकडून कृत्ये तोलली जातात.
Boast not, and utter not high things; let not high-sounding words come out of your mouth, for the Lord [is] a God of knowledge, and God prepares his own designs.
The bow of the mighty has waxed feeble, and the weak have girded themselves with strength.
5 ५ जे तृप्त होते ते अन्नासाठी मोलमजुरी करीत आहेत; आणि जे भुकेले होते ते तसे राहिले नाहीत. वांझ होती तिने सात मुलांस जन्म दिला आहे, परंतु फार लेकरे आहेत ती अशक्त झाली आहे.
They that were full of bread are brought low; and the hungry have forsaken the land; for the barren has born seven, and she that abounded in children has waxed feeble.
The Lord kills and makes alive; he brings down to the grave, and brings up. (Sheol h7585)
The Lord makes poor, and makes rich; he brings low, and lifts up.
8 ८ तो गरीबाला धुळीतून वर उठवतो; तो भिकाऱ्याला उकिरड्यावरून उठवून उभे करतो; यासाठी की त्यांना राजपुत्राबरोबर बसवावे आणि त्यांना वारसाने सन्मानाचे आसन मिळावे. कारण पृथ्वीचे खांब परमेश्वराचे आहेत; त्याने त्यावर जग ठेवले आहे.
He lifts up the poor from the earth, and raises the needy from the dunghill; to seat him with the princes of the people, and causing them to inherit the throne of glory:
9 ९ तो आपल्या विश्वास ठेवणाऱ्या लोकांचे पाय संभाळील, परंतु दुष्ट अंधारात शांत ठिकाणी ठेवले जातील, कारण सामर्थ्याने कोणी मनुष्य विजय मिळविणार नाही.
granting his petition to him that prays; and he blesses the years of the righteous, for by strength cannot man prevail.
10 १० देवाशी विरोध करणाऱ्यांचे तुकडे तुकडे केले जातील; आकाशांतून तो त्यांच्याविरुध्द मेघगर्जना करील. परमेश्वर पृथ्वीच्या शेवटल्या टोकावर असलेल्यांचा न्याय करील; तो आपल्या राजाला सामर्थ्य देईल आणि आपल्या अभिषिक्ताचे शिंग उंच करील.”
The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.
11 ११ मग एलकाना रामा येथे आपल्या घरी गेला. आणि तो लहान मुलगा एली याजकासमोर परमेश्वराची सेवा करू लागला.
and departed to Armathaim: and the child ministered in the presence of the Lord before Heli the priest.
And the sons of Heli the priest [were] evil sons, not knowing the Lord.
13 १३ लोकांच्या बाबतीत याजकांची अशी रीत होती की कोणी मनुष्य यज्ञ अर्पण करू लागला की, मांस शिजत असतानाच याजकाचा चाकर मांस उचलण्यासाठी तीन अणकुचीदार टोकाचा काटा आपल्या हातात घेऊन येई
And the priest's claim from every one of the people that sacrificed [was this: ] the servant of the priest came when the flesh was in seething, and a flesh-hook of three teeth [was] in his hand.
14 १४ तो परातीत किंवा पातेल्यांत किंवा कढईत किंवा गंगाळात तो काटा घुसवत असे आणि तो काटा जे सर्व धरून काढी, ते याजक आपणासाठी घेई. जे इस्राएली लोक शिलो येथे येत त्या सर्वांना ते तसेच करत असत
And he struck it into the great caldron, or into the brazen vessel, or into the pot, and whatever came up with the flesh-hook, the priest took for himself: so they did to all Israel that came to sacrifice to the Lord in Selom.
15 १५ त्यांनी चरबी जाळण्याच्या आधीच याजकाचा चाकर येऊन यज्ञ करणाऱ्याला म्हणत असे की, “याजकासाठी मांस भाजण्यास दे कारण तो तुझ्यापासून शिजलेले मांस घेणार नाही तर फक्त कच्चे घेईल.”
And before the fat was burnt for a sweet savour, the servant of the priest would come, and say to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest, and I will by no means take of thee sodden flesh out of the caldron.
16 १६ जर त्या मनुष्याने त्यास असे म्हटले की, “अगोदर ते चरबी जाळतील मगच तुला पाहिजे तेवढे तू घे” तर तो म्हणे असे नाही, “पण तू आताच दे नाही तर मी ते बळजबरीने घेईन.”
And [if] the man that sacrificed said, First let the fat be burned, as it is fit, and take for thyself of all things which thy soul desires: then he would say, Nay, for thou shalt give it me now; and if not I will take it by force.
17 १७ हे त्या तरुणाचे पाप परमेश्वराच्यासमोर फार मोठे होते कारण त्यामुळे देवासाठी अर्पण आणण्याचा लोकांस तिरस्कार वाटू लागला.
So the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord, for they set at nought the offering of the Lord.
And Samuel ministered before the Lord, a child girt with a linen ephod.
19 १९ त्याची आई त्याच्यासाठी लहान अंगरखा करीत असे आणि प्रत्येक वर्षी आपल्या पतीबरोबर वार्षिक यज्ञ करावयास येई त्यावेळी त्यास तो देत असे.
And his mother made him a little doublet, and brought it to him from year to year, in her going up in company with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.
20 २० एलकानाला व त्याच्या पत्नीला एली आशीर्वाद देऊन म्हणत, “असे या पत्नीपासून परमेश्वर तुला संतान देवो” कारण जे तिने देवाकडे विनंती करून मागितले त्यास परत दिले मग ते आपल्या घरी जात असत.
And Heli blessed Helcana and his wife, saying The Lord recompense to thee seed of this woman, in return for the loan which thou hast lent to the Lord: and the man returned to his place.
21 २१ आणि परमेश्वराने हन्नेला पुन्हा मदत केली ती गरोदर झाली. तिने तीन मुलांना व दोन मुलींना जन्म दिला दरम्यानच्या काळात शमुवेल बाळ परमेश्वरासमोर वाढत गेला.
And the Lord visited Anna, and she bore yet three sons, and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the Lord.
22 २२ आता एली फार म्हातारा झाला होता आणि आपले पुत्र सर्व इस्राएलाशी कसे वागले आणि दर्शनमंडपाच्या प्रवेशदाराजवळ ज्या स्त्रिया सेवा करीत त्यांच्यापाशी ते कसे निजले हे सर्व त्याने ऐकले.
And Heli [was] very old, and he heard what his sons did to the children of Israel.
23 २३ तेव्हा तो त्यांना म्हणाला, “तुम्ही अशी कृत्ये का करता? कारण तुमची वाईट कृत्ये या सर्व लोकांपासून मी ऐकली आहेत.
And he said to them, Why do ye according to this thing, which I hear from the mouth of all the people of the Lord?
24 २४ माझ्या मुलांनो असे करू, नका कारण जी बातमी मी ऐकतो ती चांगली नाही; तुम्ही परमेश्वराच्या लोकांस आज्ञाभंग करायला लावता.
Nay [my] sons, for the report which I hear [is] not good; do not so, for the reports which I hear [are] not good, so that the people do not serve God.
25 २५ जर कोणी एक पुरुष दुसऱ्याविरूद्ध पाप करील तर परमेश्वर त्याचा न्याय करील. पण जर पुरुष परमेश्वराच्या विरूद्ध पाप करील तर त्यासाठी कोण मध्यस्थी करेल?” पण ते आपल्या बापाचे शब्द ऐकेनात कारण त्यांना जिवे मारावे असा देवाचा हेतू होता.
If a man should at all sin against another, then shall they pray for him to the Lord; but if a man sin against the Lord, who shall intreat for him? But they hearkened not to the voice of their father, because the Lord would by all means destroy them.
And the child Samuel advanced, and was in favour with God and with men.
27 २७ आता देवाचा एक पुरुष एलीकडे येऊन त्यास म्हणाला, “परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, तुझ्या पूर्वजांचे घराणे मिसरात फारोच्या दास्यात राहत असता मी त्यास प्रगट झालो नाही काय?
And a man of God came to Heli, and said, Thus says the Lord, I plainly revealed myself to the house of thy father, when they were servants in Egypt to the house of Pharao.
28 २८ आणि त्याने माझा याजक व्हावे माझ्या वेदीकडे धूप जाळायला वरती जावे माझ्यासमोर एफोद धारण करावे म्हणून मी त्यास सर्व इस्राएलाच्या वंशातून निवडून काढले नाही काय? आणि इस्राएलाच्या लोकांनी अग्नीतून केलेली सर्व अर्पणे मी तुझ्या पूर्वजांच्या घराण्याला दिली नाहीत काय?
And I chose the house of thy father out of all the tribes of Israel to minister to me in the priest's office, to go up to my altar, and to burn incense, and to wear an ephod. And I gave to the house of thy father all the offerings by fire of the children of Israel for food.
29 २९ तर तुम्ही जो माझा यज्ञ व जे माझे अर्पण मी जिथे राहतो तिथे आज्ञापिले आहे, त्यांना तुम्ही का लाथ मारता? आणि माझे लोक इस्राएलांच्या सर्व अर्पणातील जी उत्तम त्यांकडून आपणाला पुष्ट करण्यास माझ्यांपेक्षा आपल्या मुलांचा तू का अधिक आदर करतोस?
And wherefore hast thou looked upon my incense-offering and my meat-offering with a shameless eye, and hast honoured thy sons above me, so that they should bless themselves with the first-fruits of every sacrifice of Israel before me?
30 ३० यामुळे इस्राएलांचा परमेश्वर म्हणतो, की तुझे घराणे व तुझ्या बापाचे घराणे माझ्यासमोर निरंतर चालेल असे मी म्हटले खरे; परंतु आता परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, ही गोष्ट माझ्यापासून दूर होवो कारण जे माझा आदर करतात त्यांचा आदर मी करीन आणि जे मला तिरस्कार करतात त्यांचा अवमान होईल.
Therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel, I said, Thy house and the house of thy father shall pass before me for ever: but now the Lord says, That be far from me; for I will only honour them that honour me, and he that sets me at nought shall be despised.
31 ३१ पाहा असे दिवस येत आहे की, ज्यात मी तुझे सामर्थ्य व तुझ्या वडिलाच्या घराण्याचे सामर्थ्य कापून टाकीन आणि तुझ्या घराण्यात कोणी म्हातारा होणार नाही.
Behold, the days come when I will destroy thy seed and the seed of thy father's house.
32 ३२ जरी इस्राएलाला जे सर्व चांगले दिले जाईल तरी जिथे मी राहतो त्या जागी दुःख पाहशील आणि तुझ्या घराण्यात सर्वकाळ कधी कोणी म्हातारा होणार नाही.
And thou shalt not have an old man in my house for ever.
33 ३३ आणि तुझा जो पुरुष मी आपल्या वेदीपासून काढून टाकणार नाही, त्यास जिवंत राखले जाईल यासाठी की, तो तुझे डोळे क्षीण करणारा व तुझ्या मनाला खेद देणारा होईल. आणि तुझ्या घराण्याची सर्व संतती ऐन तरुणपणात मरेल.
And [if] I do not destroy a man of thine from my altar, [it shall be] that his eyes may fail and his soul may perish; and every one that remains in thy house shall fall by the sword of men.
34 ३४ आणि तुझे दोघे पुत्र हफनी व फिनहास यांच्यावर जे येईल तेच तुला चिन्ह होईल; ते दोघेही एकाच दिवशी मरतील.
And this which shall come upon thy two sons Ophni and Phinees shall be a sign to thee; in one day they shall both die.
35 ३५ मी आपणासाठी विश्वासू याजक उभा करीन; तो माझ्या मनात व माझ्या मनांत जे आहे त्याप्रमाणे करील. मी त्याचे घराणे निश्चित स्थापीन; आणि तो माझ्या अभिषिक्त राजासमोर निरंतर चालेल.
And I will raise up to myself a faithful priest, who shall do all that is in my heart and in my soul; and I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before my Christ for ever.
36 ३६ असे होईल की तुझ्या घराण्यातील प्रत्येक जण जो कोणी राहिलेला आहे तो येऊन रुप्याच्या तुकड्यासाठी व भाकरीच्या तुकड्यासाठी त्याच्यापुढे नमन करील आणि म्हणेल की, मी तुला विनंती करतो मला भाकरीचा तुकडा खाण्यास मिळावा म्हणून मला याजकपदातले एखादे काम दे.”
And it shall come to pass that he that survives in thy house, shall come to do obeisance before him for a little piece of silver, saying, Put me into one of thy priest's offices to eat bread.
