And the sons of Juda; Phares, Esrom, and Charmi, and Or, Subal,
2 २ शोबालचा पुत्र राया त्याचा पुत्र यहथ. यहथाचे पुत्र अहूमय आणि लहद. सराथी लोक म्हणजे या दोघांचे वंशज होत.
and Rada his son; and Subal begot Jeth; and Jeth begot Achimai, and Laad: these [are] the generations of the Arathites.
And these [are] the sons of Aetam; Jezrael and Jesman, and Jebdas: and their sister's name [was] Eselebbon.
4 ४ पनुएलाचा पुत्र गदोर आणि एजेरचा पुत्र हूशा ही हूरची पुत्र. हूर हा एफ्राथाचा प्रथम जन्मलेला पुत्र आणि बेथलेहेमाचा बाप होता.
And Phanuel the father of Gedor, and Jazer the father of Osan: these [are] the sons of Or, the firstborn of Ephratha, the father of Baethalaen.
And Asur the father of Thecoe had two wives, Aoda and Thoada.
And Aoda bore to him Ochaia, and Ephal, and Thaeman, and Aasther: all these [were] the sons of Aoda.
And the sons of Thoada; Sereth, and Saar, and Esthanam.
8 ८ हक्कोसाने आनूब आणि सोबेबा यांना जन्म दिला. हारुमचा पुत्र अहरहेल याच्या घराण्यांचे कुळही कोसच होते.
And Coe begot Enob, and Sabatha, and the progeny of the brother of Rechab, the son of Jarin.
9 ९ याबेस आपल्या भावांपेक्षा फार आदरणीय होता. त्याच्या आईने त्याचे नाव याबेस ठेवले. ती म्हणाली, “कारण याच्यावेळी मला असह्य प्रसववेदना झाल्या.”
And Igabes was more famous than his brethren; and his mother called his name Igabes, saying, I have born as a sorrowful one.
10 १० याबेसाने इस्राएलाच्या देवाची प्रार्थना केली. याबेस म्हणाला, “तू खरोखर मला आशीर्वाद देशील. माझ्या प्रदेशाच्या सीमा वाढविशील. माझ्यावर संकट येऊन मी दुःखीत होऊ नये म्हणून तुझा हात माझ्यावर राहील तर किती चांगले होईल.” आणि देवाने त्याची विनंती मान्य केली.
And Igabes called on the God of Israel, saying, O that you would indeed bless me, and enlarge my coasts, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would make me know that you will not grieve me! And God granted him all that he asked.
And Chaleb the father of Ascha begot Machir; he [was] the father of Assathon.
12 १२ बेथ-राफा, पासेहा आणि तहिन्ना ही एष्टोनचे पुत्र. तहिन्नाचा पुत्र ईर-नाहाश. हे रेखा येथील लोक होत.
He begot Bathraias, and Bessee, and Thaeman the founder of the city of Naas the brother of Eselom the Kenezite: these [were] the men of Rechab.
And the sons of Kenez; Gothoniel, and Saraia: and the sons of Gothoniel; Athath.
14 १४ म्योनोथायने अफ्राला जन्म दिला आणि सरायाने यवाबला जन्म दिला. यवाब हा गे-हराशीम जे कुशल कारागीराचे मूळपुरुष होय. तेथील लोक कुशल कारागीर असल्यामुळे त्यांनी हे नाव घेतले.
And Manathi begot Gophera: and Saraia begot Jobab, the father of Ageaddair, for they were artificers.
And the sons of Chaleb the son of Jephonne; Er, Ada, and Noom: and the sons of Ada, Kenez.
And the sons of Aleel, Zib, and Zepha, and Thiria, and Eserel.
17 १७ एज्राचे पुत्र येथेर व मरद, येफेर व यालोन. मेरेदाची मिसरी पत्नीने मिर्याम, शम्माय आणि एष्टमोवाचा पिता इश्बह यांना जन्म दिला.
And the sons of Esri; Jether, Morad, and Apher, and Jamon: and Jether begot Maron, and Semei, and Jesba the father of Esthaemon.
18 १८ त्याच्या यहूदी पत्नीला गदोराचा पिता येरेद, सोखोचा पिता हेबेर आणि जानोहाचा पिता यकूथीएल हे झाले. हे बिथ्याचे पुत्र होते, फारोची मुलगी बिथ्या जिच्याशी मेरेदाने लग्न केले होते.
And his wife, that [is] Adia, bore Jared the father of Gedor, and Aber the father of Sochon, and Chetiel the father of Zamon: and these [are] the sons of Betthia the daughter of Pharao, whom Mored took.
19 १९ होदीयाची पत्नी ही नहमाची बहीण होती. हिचे पुत्र गार्मी कईला आणि माकाथी एष्टमोवा यांचे पिता होते.
And the sons of the wife of Iduia the sister of Nachaim the father of Keila; Garmi, and Esthaemon the Nochathite.
And the sons of Semon; Amnon, and Ana the son of Phana, and Inon: and the sons of Sei, Zoan, and the sons of Zoab.
21 २१ यहूदाचा पुत्र शेला याच्यापासून लेखाचा पिता एर, मारेशाचा पिता लादा, आणि तलम कापडाचे कसबाचे काम करणारे अश्बेच्या घराण्यातली ही कुळे झाली.
The sons of Selom the son of Juda; Er the father of Lechab, and Laada the father of Marisa, and the offspring of the family of Ephrathabac [belonging to] the house of Esoba.
22 २२ तसेच त्याच्यापासून योकीम, कोजेबा येथील लोक योवाश आणि मवाबीवर अधिकार चालवणारे साराफ व याशूबी-लेहेम हे जन्मले. फार जुन्या बातमीतून ही नोंद घेतली आहे.
And Joakim, and the men of Chozeba, and Joas, and Saraph, who lived in Moab, and he changed their names to Abederin and Athukiim.
These [are] the potters who lived in Ataim and Gadira with the king: they grew strong in his kingdom, and lived there.
The sons of Semeon; Namuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zares, Saul:
Salem his son, Mabasam his son, Masma his son:
Amuel his son, Sabud his son, Zacchur his son, Semei his son.
27 २७ शिमीला सोळा मुले आणि सहा मुली होत्या. पण शिमीच्या भावांना फारशी पुत्र बाळे झाली नाहीत. यहूदातील घराण्यांप्रमाणे त्यांचे घराणे वाढले नाही.
Semei [had] sixteen sons, and six daughters; and his brethren had not many sons, neither did all their families multiply as the sons of Juda.
And they lived in Bersabee, and Molada, and in Esersual,
and in Balaa, and in Aesem, and in Tholad,
and in Bathuel, and in Herma, and in Sikelag,
31 ३१ बेथ-मर्का-बोथ, हसर-सुसीम, बेथ-बिरी व शाराइम येथे राहत होते. दावीदाच्या कारकीर्दीपर्यंत ही त्यांची नगरे होती.
and in Baethmarimoth, and Hemisuseosin, and the house of Baruseorim: these [were] their cities until [the time of] king David.
And their villages [were] Aetan, and En, Remnon, and Thocca, and Aesar, five cities.
33 ३३ बालापर्यंत त्याच नगरांच्या आसपासच्या खेड्यापाड्यांमधूनही ते राहत होते. आपल्या वंशावळींची नोंदही त्यांनीच ठेवली.
And all their villages [were] round about these cities, as far as Baal: this [was] their possession, and their distribution.
And Mosobab, and Jemoloch, and Josia the son of Amasia;
and Joel, and Jeu the son of Asabia, the son of Sarau, the son of Asiel;
and Elionai, and Jocaba, and Jasuia, and Asaia, and Jediel, and Ismael, and Banaias;
37 ३७ जीजा हा शिफीचा पुत्र. शिफी हा अल्लोनचा पुत्र, अल्लोन यदायाचा पुत्र, यदाया शिम्रीचा पुत्र, आणि शिम्री शमायाचा पुत्र.
and Zuza the son of Saphai, the son of Alon, the son of Jedia, the son of Semri, the son of Samaias.
38 ३८ ज्यांची नावे येथे दाखल केली आहेत ते सर्व आपआपल्या कुळांचे प्रमुख होते. त्यांच्या घराण्याची झपाटयाने वाढ झाली.
These went by the names of princes in their families, and they increased abundantly in their fathers' households.
39 ३९ ते खोऱ्याच्या पूर्वेला गदोरच्या सीमेबाहेरही जाऊन पोहोंचले. आपल्या कळपांना चरायला गायराने हवे म्हणून जमिनीच्या शोधात ते गेले.
And they went till they came to Gerara, to the east of Gai, to seek pasture for their cattle.
40 ४० त्यांना विपुल व चांगली गायराने मिळाली. तो देश मोठा असून शांत व स्वस्थ होता. हामाचे वंशज पूर्वी या भागात राहत असत.
And they found abundant and good pastures, and the land before them [was] wide, and [there was] peace and quietness; for [there were] some of the children of Cham who lived there before.
41 ४१ हिज्कीया यहूदाचा राजा होता त्यावेळची ते लोक गदोरपर्यंत आले आणि हामच्या लोकांशी त्यांनी लढाई केली. हामच्या लोकांच्या राहुट्या त्यांनी उद्ध्वस्त केल्या. तेथे राहणाऱ्या मूनी लोकांसही त्यांनी ठार केले. आजही या भागात मूनी नावाचे लोक आढळत नाहीत. तेव्हा या लोकांनी तेथे वस्ती केली. मेंढरांसाठी गायराने असल्याने ते तेथे राहिले.
And these who are written by name came in the days of Ezekias king of Juda, and they struck the people's houses, and the Minaeans whom they found there, and utterly destroyed them until this day: and they lived in their place, because [there was] pasture there for their cattle.
42 ४२ शिमोनाच्या घराण्यातील पाचशे माणसे सेईर डोंगरावर त्याच्या नेत्याबरोबर गेली. इशीचे पुत्र पलट्या, निरह्या, रफाया आणि उज्जियेल हे होते.
And some of them, [even] of the sons of Symeon, went to mount Seir, [even] five hundred men; and Phalaettia, and Noadia, and Raphaia, and Oziel, sons of Jesi, [were] their rulers.
43 ४३ काही अमालेकी लोकांचा त्यातूनही निभाव लागला ते तेवढे अजून आहेत. त्यांना शिमोन्यांनी ठार केले. तेव्हापासून सेईरमध्ये अजूनही शिमोनी लोक राहत आहेत.
And they struck the remnant that were left of Amalec, until this day.
