< 1 Corinth 1 >

1 Tengban Mapugi aningbagi mapanna, Christta Jisugi pakhonchatpa oina koubiraba Paul eihakna amasung eikhoigi ichil-inao Sosthenesna,
To the church of God in Corinth, to those who have been consecrated by union with Christ Jesus and called to become his people, and also to all, wherever they may be, who invoke the name of our Lord Jesus Christ – their Master and ours,
2 Corinth-da leiriba Tengban Mapugi singlupta, haibadi eikhoigisu makhoigisu Ibungo oiriba Jisu Christtabu khurumjariba mapham pumnamakta leiriba makhoising aduga loinana Christta Jisuda sengdokminnaduna, Tengban Mapugi asengba mising oinaba kouminnakhraba nakhoida:
from Paul, who has been called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and from Sosthenes, our fellow follower of the Lord.
3 Eikhoigi Ipa Ibungo Tengban Mapu amadi Ibungo Jisu Christtana nakhoida thoujal amadi ingthaba pinabisanu.
May God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ bless you and give you peace.
4 Christta Jisugi mapanna Tengban Mapuna nakhoida pinabikhraba thoujal adugi maramna nakhoigidamak eina eigi Tengban Mapubu matam pumnamakta thagatchei.
I always thank God for you. I thank him for the blessing bestowed on you in Christ Jesus.
5 Maramdi nakhoina hiram khudingmakta haibadi, nakhoina ngangba pumnamakta amasung nakhoigi khangba pumnamakta nakhoibu inak khulhanbire.
For through union with him you were enriched in every way – in your power to preach, and in your knowledge of the truth;
6 Matou asumna Christtagi maramda eikhoina nakhoida sandokpa wa adu henna chethanbire.
and so became yourselves a confirmation of my testimony to the Christ.
7 Maram aduna eikhoigi Ibungo Jisu Christtabu phongdokpigadaba adu nakhoina khourangna ngairingeida nakhoina thawaigi oiba khudolgi awatpa karisu leite.
There is no gift in which you are deficient, while waiting for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.
8 Aduga eikhoigi Ibungo Jisu Christtagi numit aduda nakhoina naral leitanaba aroiba adu phaoba mahakna nakhoibu chetna leihanbigani.
And God himself will strengthen you to the end, so that at the day of our Lord Jesus Christ you may be found blameless.
9 Mahakki Machanupa eikhoigi Ibungo Jisu Christtaga saruk phangminnanaba nakhoibu koubiba Tengban Mapu mahakti thajaba yabani.
God will not fail you, and it is he who called you into communion with his Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.
10 Ichil-inaosa, eina Ibungo Jisu Christtagi mingda nakhoida haijari, madudi nakhoigi narakta tokhai tanadanaba nakhoina haiba wa aduda nakhoi pumnamakna amaga amaga pukning wakhal tinnabiyu. Aduga wakhallon amatada amadi pandam amatada nakhoina mapungphana punsinnabiyu.
But I appeal to you, my friends, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to agree in what you profess, and not to allow divisions to exist among you, but to be united – of one mind and of one opinion.
11 Maramdi, eigi ichin-inaosa, nakhoigi narakta khatna-cheinaba leire haiduna Chloe-gi imunggi mi kharana eingonda tamlare.
For I have been informed, my friends, by the members of Chloe’s household, that party feeling exists among you.
12 Eina haibadi asini, madudi nakhoi kharana, “Eidi Paul-gini,” aduga khara amana amuk, “Eidi Apollos-gini” nattraga “Eidi Peter-gini” nattraga “Eidi Christtagini” haina hainari.
I mean this: that every one of you says either ‘I follow Paul,’ or ‘I Apollos,’ or ‘I Cephas,’ or ‘I Christ.’
13 Christtabu tokhai tokhai tahallabra? Paul-bu nakhoigidamak cross-ta hatkhibra? Nakhoibu Paul-gi mingda baptize toukhibra?
You have torn the Christ in pieces! Was it Paul who was crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?
14 Eina Tengban Mapubu thagatli madudi eina Crispus amadi Gaius nattana nakhoi kana amatabu baptize toukhide.
I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius,
15 Aduna houjik mi kana amatana eigi mingda nakhoibu baptize tou-i haina haiba ngamloi.
so that no one can say that you were baptized in my name.
16 Hoi, eina Stephanas amadi mahakki imungi misingbusu baptize toukhi, aduga makhoidagi henna eina atei kana kanabu baptize toukhibage haibadu eina ningsingba ngamdre.
I baptized also the household of Stephanas. I do not know that I baptized anyone else.
17 Maramdi Christtana eibu baptize tounanaba thabiba natte adubu Aphaba Pao adu sandoknaba thabibani aduga madu eina Christtana cross-ta sibiba adu aremba oidananaba mioibagi lousinggi oiba wangang yaodana sandoknaba thabibani.
My mission from Christ was not to baptize, but to tell the good news; not, however, in the language of philosophy, in case the cross of the Christ should be robbed of its meaning.
18 Maramdi Christtana cross-ta sibibagi wa asi mangduna leiribasinggi maphamdadi apangbani; adubu kanbiba phanglaba eikhoidadi Tengban Mapugi panggalni.
The message of the cross is indeed mere folly to those who are on the path to ruin, but to us who are on the path of salvation it is the power of God.
19 Mapugi Puyada asumna iduna lei, “Eina asingbasinggi lousingbu mang-hangani, Aduga akhang aheisinggi khang-heibabu aremba oihangani.”
For scripture says – ‘I will bring the philosophy of the philosophers to naught, and the shrewdness of the shrewd I will bring to nothing.’
20 Adu oirabadi, asingba mi kadaida leibage? Wayel yathanggi oja kadaida leibage? Taibangpan asigi yetnaba heiba akhang aheising kadaida leibage? Tengban Mapuna taibanpan asigi lousing adu apangbani haina utpikhraba nattra? (aiōn g165)
Where is the philosopher? Where the teacher of the Law? Where the disputant of today? Has not God shown the world’s philosophy to be folly? (aiōn g165)
21 Maramdi masagi lousinggi mapanna misingna mahakpu khangba ngamdanaba Tengban Mapuna singna wareple. Madugi mahutta “apangbani” hainariba eikhoina sandokliba Aphaba Pao asigi mapanna thajabasingbu kanbinanaba Tengban Mapuna leple.
For since the world, in God’s wisdom, did not by its philosophy learn to know God, God saw fit, by the ‘folly’ of our proclamation, to save those who believe in Christ!
22 Jihudisingna angakpa khudam thi aduga Greek-singna lousing thi.
While Jews ask for miraculous signs, and Greeks study philosophy,
23 Adubu eikhoinadi cross-ta hatkhiba Christtagi maramda sandok-i. Pao asi Jihudisinggi maphamdadi khudi thiphamni aduga Jihudi nattaba phurupsinggi maphamdana apangbani.
we are proclaiming Christ crucified! – to the Jews an obstacle, to the Gentiles mere folly,
24 Adubu Tengban Mapuna koubiraba makhoising haibadi Jihudising amadi Jihudi nattaba phurupsing animakta Christta asi Tengban Mapugi panggalni amasung Tengban Mapugi lousingni.
but to those who have received the call, whether Jews or Greeks, Christ, the power of God and the wisdom of God!
25 Maramdi Tengban Mapugi apangba aduna mioibagi lousingdagi henna sing-i aduga Tengban Mapugi asonba aduna mioibagi panggaldagi henna kalli.
For God’s ‘folly’ is wiser than people, and God’s ‘weakness’ is stronger than people.
26 Ichil-inaosing, nakhoibu Tengban Mapuna koubikhiba matamda nakhoina oiramba phibham adu ningsing-u. Mioibagi mityengda nakhoi ayamba asingba oiramde, matik leiba oiramde amasung thak wangba mising oiramde.
Look at the facts of your call, friends. There are not many among you who are wise, as people reckon wisdom, not many who are influential, not many who are high-born;
27 Adubu asingbasingbu ikaiba pinanaba taibangpanna apangbasingni haina khanbasingbu aduga akanbasingbu ikaiba pinanaba taibangpanna asonbasingni haina khanbasingbu Tengban Mapuna khandokle.
but God chose what the world counts foolish to put its wise to shame, and God chose what the world counts weak to put its strong to shame,
28 Aduga taibangpanbana maruoibani haina khanbasing adubu karisu nattaba oihannanaba taibangpanna atonbani khanbasing, hanthana yengbirabasing amadi karisu nattana khanbasing adubu Tengban Mapuna khandokle.
and God chose what the world counts poor and insignificant – things that to it are unreal – to bring its ‘realities’ to nothing,
29 Masi mi kana amatana Tengban Mapugi mamangda chaothoktanabani.
so that in his presence no one should boast.
30 Adubu Tengban Mapuna nakhoibu Christta Jisuda tinsinhanbire amasung Christtabu eikhoigi lousing oihanbire. Aduga Christtagi mapanna eikhoibu Tengban Mapugi maphamda chumhanbire; eikhoibu Tengban Mapugi asengba mi oihanbire amasung eikhoibu ning tamhanbire.
But you, by your union with Christ Jesus, belong to God; and Christ, by God’s will, became not only our wisdom, but also our righteousness, holiness, and deliverance,
31 Maram aduna, masi Mapugi Puyada ikhibagumna, “Chaothokchaba pamba mahak aduna MAPU IBUNGO-na toubikhiba adugi maramda chaothokchasanu.”
so that – in the words of scripture – ‘Whoever boasts should boast of the Lord!’
