സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 40

1 ൧ സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്ക്; ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. ഞാൻ യഹോവയ്ക്കായി ക്ഷമയോടെ കാത്തിരുന്നു; കർത്താവ് എന്നിലേക്ക് ചാഞ്ഞ് എന്റെ നിലവിളി കേട്ടു.

For the chief musician. A psalm of David. I waited patiently for Yahweh; he listened to me and heard my cry.

2 ൨ നാശകരമായ കുഴിയിൽ നിന്നും കുഴഞ്ഞ ചേറ്റിൽനിന്നും കർത്താവ് എന്നെ കയറ്റി; എന്റെ കാലുകളെ ഒരു പാറമേൽ നിർത്തി, എന്റെ ചുവടുകളെ സ്ഥിരമാക്കി.

He brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and he set my feet on a rock and made my steps secure.

3 ൩ അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ വായിൽ ഒരു പുതിയ പാട്ട് തന്നു, നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന് സ്തുതി തന്നെ; പലരും അത് കണ്ട് ഭയപ്പെട്ട് യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കും.

He has put a new song in my mouth, praise to our God. Many will see it and honor him and will trust in Yahweh.

4 ൪ യഹോവയെ തന്റെ ആശ്രയമാക്കുകയും നിഗളികളെയും വ്യാജദൈവങ്ങളിലേക്ക് തിരിയുന്നവരെയും ആദരിക്കാതിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ.

Blessed is the man who makes Yahweh his trust and does not honor the proud or those who turn away from him to lies.

5 ൫ എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അവിടുന്ന് ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികളും ഞങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടിയുള്ള അങ്ങയുടെ വിചാരങ്ങളും അനവധി ആകുന്നു; അങ്ങേക്ക് തുല്യൻ ആരുമില്ല; ഞാൻ അവയെപ്പറ്റി വിവരിച്ച് പ്രസ്താവിക്കുമായിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവ എണ്ണിക്കൂടാത്തവിധം അധികമാകുന്നു.

Many, Yahweh my God, are the wonderful deeds that you have done, and your thoughts which are about us cannot be numbered; if I declared and spoke of them, they would be more than could be counted.

6 ൬ ഹനനയാഗവും ഭോജനയാഗവും അവിടുന്ന് ഇച്ഛിച്ചില്ല; അങ്ങ് എന്റെ ചെവികൾ തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. ഹോമയാഗവും പാപയാഗവും അവിടുന്ന് ചോദിച്ചില്ല.

You have no delight in sacrifice or offering, but you have opened my ears; you have not required burnt offerings or sin offerings.

7 ൭ അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു: “ഇതാ, ഞാൻ വരുന്നു; പുസ്തകച്ചുരുളിൽ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ച് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു;

Then said I, “See, I have come; it is written about me in the scroll of the document.

8 ൮ എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങയുടെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്യുവാൻ ഞാൻ പ്രിയപ്പെടുന്നു; അവിടുത്തെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം എന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു”.

I delight to do your will, my God; your laws are in my heart.”

9 ൯ ഞാൻ മഹാസഭയിൽ നീതിയുടെ സുവാർത്ത പ്രസംഗിച്ചു; അധരങ്ങൾ ഞാൻ അടക്കിവച്ചില്ല; യഹോവേ, അവിടുന്ന് അറിയുന്നു.

I have proclaimed good news of your righteousness in the great assembly; Yahweh, you know that my lips have not kept back from doing this.

10 ൧൦ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയുടെ നീതി എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ മറച്ചു വച്ചില്ല; അവിടുത്തെ വിശ്വസ്തതയും രക്ഷയും ഞാൻ പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു; അവിടുത്തെ ദയയും സത്യവും ഞാൻ മഹാസഭയിൽ മറച്ചുവച്ചതുമില്ല.

I have not concealed your righteousness in my heart; I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation; I have not concealed your covenant faithfulness or your trustworthiness from the great assembly.

11 ൧൧ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങയുടെ കരുണ അവിടുന്ന് എനിക്ക് അടച്ചുകളയുകയില്ല; അങ്ങയുടെ ദയയും സത്യവും എന്നെ നിത്യം പരിപാലിക്കും.

Do not keep back your acts of mercy from me, Yahweh; let your covenant faithfulness and your trustworthiness always preserve me.

12 ൧൨ അസംഖ്യം അനർത്ഥങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു; മേല്പോട്ടു നോക്കുവാൻ കഴിയാത്തവിധം എന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾ എന്നെ എത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവ എന്റെ തലയിലെ രോമങ്ങളിലും അധികം; ഞാൻ ധൈര്യഹീനനായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

Troubles that cannot be numbered surround me; my iniquities have caught up with me so that I am no longer able to see anything; they are more than the hairs on my head, and my heart has failed me.

13 ൧൩ യഹോവേ, എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കുവാൻ ഇഷ്ടം തോന്നണമേ; യഹോവേ, എന്നെ സഹായിക്കുവാൻ വേഗം വരണമേ.

Be pleased, Yahweh, to rescue me; hurry to help me, Yahweh.

14 ൧൪ എനിക്ക് ജീവഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവർ ലജ്ജിച്ച് ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ; എന്റെ അനർത്ഥത്തിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നവർ പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞ് അപമാനം ഏല്ക്കട്ടെ.

Let them be ashamed and completely disappointed who pursue my life to take it away. Let them be turned back and brought to dishonor, those who delight in hurting me.

15 ൧൫ “നന്നായി, നന്നായി” എന്ന് എന്നോട് പറയുന്നവർ അവരുടെ ലജ്ജ നിമിത്തം സ്തംഭിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ.

Let them be shocked because of their shame, those who say to me, “Aha, aha!”

16 ൧൬ അങ്ങയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും അവിടുത്തെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ആനന്ദിച്ച് സന്തോഷിക്കട്ടെ; അങ്ങയുടെ രക്ഷയിൽ പ്രിയപ്പെടുന്നവർ “യഹോവ എത്ര മഹത്വമുള്ളവൻ” എന്ന് എപ്പോഴും പറയട്ടെ.

But may all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; let everyone who loves your salvation say continually, “May Yahweh be praised.”

17 ൧൭ ഞാൻ എളിയവനും ദരിദ്രനും ആകുന്നു; എങ്കിലും കർത്താവ് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ച് വിചാരിക്കുന്നു; അവിടുന്ന് തന്നെ എന്റെ സഹായവും എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നവനും ആകുന്നു; എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, താമസിക്കരുതേ.

I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinks about me. You are my help and you come to my rescue; do not delay, my God.
