സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 38

1 ൧ ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ജ്ഞാപക സങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവേ, കോപത്തോടെ എന്നെ ശാസിക്കരുതേ. ക്രോധത്തോടെ എന്നെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുകയും അരുതേ.

O lord, rebuke me not in your wrath: neither chasten me in your hot displeasure.

2 ൨ അങ്ങയുടെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ എന്റെ ഉള്ളിലേക്ക് തറച്ചുകയറിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവിടുത്തെ കൈ എന്റെ മേൽ ഭാരമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

For your arrows stick fast in me, and your hand presses me sore.

3 ൩ അങ്ങയുടെ നീരസം മൂലം എന്റെ ദേഹത്തിന് സൗഖ്യമില്ല; എന്റെ പാപംനിമിത്തം എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളിൽ സ്വസ്ഥതയുമില്ല.

There is no soundness in my flesh because of your anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.

4 ൪ എന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾ എന്റെ തലയ്ക്കുമീതെ കവിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭാരമുള്ള ചുമടുപോലെ അവ എനിക്ക് അതിഘനമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

5 ൫ എന്റെ ഭോഷത്തം ഹേതുവായി എന്റെ വ്രണങ്ങൾ ചീഞ്ഞ് നാറുന്നു.

My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.

6 ൬ ഞാൻ കുനിഞ്ഞ് നിലത്തോളം താണിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ ദുഃഖിച്ച് നടക്കുന്നു.

I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.

7 ൭ എന്റെ അരയിൽ വരൾച്ച നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദേഹത്തിന് സൗഖ്യമില്ല.

For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.

8 ൮ ഞാൻ ക്ഷീണത്താൽ അത്യന്തം തകർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ അസ്വസ്ഥത നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ ഞരങ്ങുന്നു.

I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the chaos of my heart.

9 ൯ കർത്താവേ, എന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം എല്ലാം തിരുമുമ്പിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ ഞരക്കം അങ്ങേക്ക് മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

Lord, all my desire is before you; and my groaning is not hid from you.

10 ൧൦ എന്റെ നെഞ്ചിടിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ശക്തിഹീനനായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്റെ വെളിച്ചവും ഇല്ലാതെയായി.

My heart pants, my strength fails me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.

11 ൧൧ എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാരും സഖാക്കളും എന്റെ ബാധ കണ്ട് അകന്ന് നില്ക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അടുത്ത ബന്ധുക്കളും അകന്ന് നില്ക്കുന്നു.

My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand far off.

12 ൧൨ എനിക്ക് പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവർ കെണി വയ്ക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അനർത്ഥം കാംക്ഷിക്കുന്നവർ അനാവശ്യമായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ഇടവിടാതെ ചതിവ് ചിന്തിക്കുന്നു.

They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.

13 ൧൩ എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ ചെകിടനെപ്പോലെ കേൾക്കാതെ ഇരുന്നു; വായ് തുറക്കാതെ ഊമനെപ്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.

But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that opens not his mouth.

14 ൧൪ ഞാൻ, കേൾക്കാത്ത മനുഷ്യനെപ്പോലെയും വായിൽ ശകാരം ഇല്ലാത്തവനെപ്പോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു.

Thus I was as a man that hears not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.

15 ൧൫ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങയിൽ ഞാൻ പ്രത്യാശ വച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവേ, അവിടുന്ന് ഉത്തരം അരുളും.

For in you, O LORD, do I hope: you will hear, O Lord my God.

16 ൧൬ “അവർ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ച് സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ” എന്ന് ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ കാൽ വഴുതുമ്പോൾ അവർ എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പ് പറയുമല്ലോ.

For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slips, they magnify themselves against me.

17 ൧൭ ഞാൻ കാൽ ഇടറി വീഴുവാൻ തുടങ്ങുന്നു; എന്റെ ദുഃഖം എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.

18 ൧൮ ഞാൻ എന്റെ അകൃത്യം ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നു; എന്റെ പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു.

For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.

19 ൧൯ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾ വീറും ബലവുമുള്ളവർ, എന്നെ വെറുതെ ദ്വേഷിയ്ക്കുന്നവർ പെരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

20 ൨൦ ഞാൻ നന്മ പിന്തുടരുകയാൽ അവർ എനിക്ക് വിരോധികളായി നന്മയ്ക്കു പകരം തിന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നു.

They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.

21 ൨൧ യഹോവേ, എന്നെ കൈ വിടരുതേ; എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്നോട് അകന്നിരിക്കരുതേ.

Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.

22 ൨൨ എന്റെ രക്ഷയാകുന്ന കർത്താവേ, എന്റെ സഹായത്തിനായി വേഗം വരണമേ.

Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.
