സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 23

1 ൧ ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവ എന്റെ ഇടയനാകുന്നു; എനിക്ക് ഒരു കുറവും ഉണ്ടാകുകയില്ല.

A psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd: I am never in need.

2 ൨ പച്ചയായ മേച്ചിൽപുറങ്ങളിൽ കർത്താവ് എന്നെ കിടത്തുന്നു; സ്വഛമായ ജലാശയത്തിനരികിലേക്ക് അവിടുന്ന് നടത്തുന്നു.

He lays me down in green pastures. He gently leads me to waters of rest,

3 ൩ അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ തണുപ്പിക്കുന്നു; തിരുനാമംനിമിത്തം എന്നെ നീതിപാതകളിൽ നടത്തുന്നു.

he refreshes my life. He guides me along paths that are straight, true to his name.

4 ൪ മരണനിഴലിൻ താഴ്വരയിൽ കൂടിനടന്നാലും ഞാൻ ഒരു അനർത്ഥവും ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല; അങ്ങ് എന്നോടുകൂടി ഇരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; അങ്ങയുടെ വടിയും കോലും എന്നെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

And when my way lies through a valley of gloom, I fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff comfort me.

5 ൫ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കൺമുമ്പിൽ അവിടുന്ന് എനിക്ക് വിരുന്നൊരുക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ തലയെ എണ്ണകൊണ്ട് അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്യുന്നു; എന്റെ പാനപാത്രം നിറഞ്ഞ് കവിയുന്നു.

You spread a table for me in face of my foes; with oil you anoint my head, and my cup runs over.

6 ൬ നന്മയും കരുണയും നിശ്ചയമായി ആയുഷ്കാലം മുഴുവൻ എന്നെ പിന്തുടരും; ഞാൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ ദീർഘകാലം വസിക്കും.

Surely goodness and love will pursue me – all the days of my life. In the house of the Lord I will live through the length of the days.
