മർക്കൊസ് 16
1 ൧ ശബ്ബത്തുനാൾ കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയയും യാക്കോബിന്റെ അമ്മ മറിയയും ശലോമയും ചെന്ന് യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന് സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗം വാങ്ങി.
When the Sabbath was over, Mary of Magdala, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought some spices, so that they might go and anoint the body of Jesus.
Very early on the first day of the week they went to the tomb, after sunrise.
They were saying to one another, ‘Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?’
But, on looking up, they saw that the stone had already been rolled back; it was a very large one.
5 ൫ അവർ കല്ലറയ്ക്കകത്ത് കടന്നപ്പോൾ വെള്ളനിലയങ്കി ധരിച്ച ഒരു ബാല്യക്കാരൻ വലത്തുഭാഗത്ത് ഇരിക്കുന്നത് കണ്ട് ഭ്രമിച്ചു.
Going into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on their right, in a white robe, and they were dismayed; but he said to them,
6 ൬ അവൻ അവരോട്: “ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ട നസറായനായ യേശുവിനെ നിങ്ങൾ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു; അവൻ ഇവിടെ ഇല്ല, നോക്കൂ അവനെ വെച്ച സ്ഥലം ഇതാ.
‘Do not be dismayed; you are looking for Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified; he has risen, he is not here! Look! Here is the place where they laid him.
7 ൭ എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ പോയി അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടും പത്രൊസിനോടും: അവൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് മുമ്പെ ഗലീലയ്ക്കു് പോകുന്നു; അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ അവിടെവച്ച് നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ കാണും എന്നു പറവിൻ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
But go, and say to his disciples and to Peter “He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see him, as he told you.”’
8 ൮ അവർക്ക് വിറയലും ഭ്രമവും പിടിച്ച് അവർ കല്ലറ വിട്ടു ഓടിപ്പോയി; അവർ വളരെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് ആരോടും ഒന്നും പറഞ്ഞില്ല.
They went out, and fled from the tomb, for they were trembling and bewildered; and they did not say a word to anyone, for they were frightened.
9 ൯ (note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) അവൻ ആഴ്ചവട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നാം നാൾ രാവിലെ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റതിനുശേഷം താൻ ഏഴ് ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കിയിരുന്ന മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയയ്ക്ക് ആദ്യം പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.
(note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) After his rising again, early on the first day of the week, Jesus appeared first of all to Mary of Magdala, from whom he had driven out seven demons.
She went and told the news to those who had been with him and who were now in sorrow and tears;
yet even they, when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, did not believe it.
Afterwards, altered in appearance, he made himself known to two of them, as they were walking, on their way into the country.
They also went and told the rest, but they did not believe even them.
14 ൧൪ പിന്നീട് ആ പതിനൊന്നുപേർ ഭക്ഷണത്തിനിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു അവർക്ക് പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി, ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റതിനുശേഷം തന്നെ കണ്ടവരുടെ വാക്ക് വിശ്വസിക്കായ്കയാൽ അവരുടെ അവിശ്വാസത്തെയും ഹൃദയകാഠിന്യത്തെയും ശാസിച്ചു.
Later on, he made himself known to the Eleven themselves as they were at a meal, and reproached them with their want of faith and their stubbornness, because they did not believe those who had seen him after he had risen from the dead.
Then he said to them, ‘Go into all the world, and proclaim the good news to all creation.
16 ൧൬ വിശ്വസിക്കയും സ്നാനം ഏല്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ രക്ഷിയ്ക്കപ്പെടും; വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവൻ ശിക്ഷാവിധിയിൽ അകപ്പെടും.
He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who refuses to believe will be condemned.
17 ൧൭ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവരാൽ ഈ അടയാളങ്ങൾ നടക്കും: എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ അവർ ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കും, അവർ പുതുഭാഷകളിൽ സംസാരിക്കും,
Moreover these signs will attend those who believe. In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages;
18 ൧൮ അവരുടെ കൈകളാൽ അവർ സർപ്പങ്ങളെ പിടിച്ചെടുക്കും; മരണകരമായ യാതൊന്നു കുടിച്ചാലും അവർക്ക് ഹാനി വരികയില്ല; അവർ രോഗികളുടെമേൽ കൈവച്ചാൽ അവർക്ക് സൗഖ്യം വരും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
they will take up snakes in their hands; and, if they drink any poison, it will not hurt them; they will place their hands on sick people and they will recover.’
19 ൧൯ ഇങ്ങനെ കർത്താവായ യേശു അവരോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തശേഷം സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലേക്ക് എടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്ത് ഇരുന്നു.
So the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat at the right hand of God.
20 ൨൦ അവർ പുറപ്പെട്ടു എല്ലായിടത്തും പ്രസംഗിച്ചു; കർത്താവ് അവരോടുകൂടെ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചും അവരാൽ നടന്ന അത്ഭുതകരമായ അടയാളങ്ങളാൽ വചനത്തെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചും പോന്നു.
But they set out, and made the proclamation everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the message by the signs which attended it. But all that had been revealed to them they reported briefly to Peter and his companions. Afterwards Jesus himself sent them out, from east to west, the sacred and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation.
