Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
2 ൨ “നീ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളുടെ സർവ്വസഭയോടും പറയേണ്ടത് എന്തെന്നാൽ: ‘നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്ന ഞാൻ വിശുദ്ധനാകയാൽ നിങ്ങളും വിശുദ്ധരായിരിക്കുവീൻ.
“Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel [God prevails], and tell them, ‘You shall be holy; for I, Adonai your God, am holy.
3 ൩ നിങ്ങൾ ഓരോരുത്തനും താന്താന്റെ അമ്മയെയും അപ്പനെയും ഭയപ്പെടണം; എന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകൾ പ്രമാണിക്കണം: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
“‘Each one of you shall respect his mother and his father. You shall keep my Sabbaths. I am Adonai your God.
4 ൪ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കലേക്ക് തിരിയരുത്; ദേവന്മാരെ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വാർത്തുണ്ടാക്കരുത്; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
“‘Don’t turn to idols, nor make molten deities for yourselves. I am Adonai your God.
5 ൫ യഹോവയ്ക്കു സമാധാനയാഗം അർപ്പിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രസാദം ലഭിക്കുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അർപ്പിക്കണം.
“‘When you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to Adonai, you shall offer it so that you may be accepted.
6 ൬ അർപ്പിക്കുന്ന ദിവസവും പിറ്റെന്നാളും അത് ഭക്ഷിക്കാം; മൂന്നാം ദിവസംവരെ ശേഷിക്കുന്നതു തീയിൽ ഇട്ടു ചുട്ടുകളയണം.
It shall be eaten the same day you offer it, and on the next day: and if anything remains until the third day, it shall be burned with fire.
If it is eaten at all on the third day, it is an abomination. It will not be accepted;
8 ൮ അത് ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നവൻ കുറ്റം വഹിക്കും; യഹോവയ്ക്കു വിശുദ്ധമായത് അവൻ അശുദ്ധമാക്കിയല്ലോ; അവനെ അവന്റെ ജനത്തിൽനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയണം.
but everyone who eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the holy thing of Adonai, and that soul shall be cut off from his people.
9 ൯ “‘നിങ്ങളുടെ നിലത്തിലെ ധാന്യവിള നിങ്ങൾ കൊയ്യുമ്പോൾ വയലിന്റെ അരികു തീർത്തു കൊയ്യരുത്; നിന്റെ കൊയ്ത്തിൽ കാലാ പെറുക്കുകയും അരുത്.
“‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field, neither shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest.
10 ൧൦ നിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ കാലാ പറിക്കരുത്; നിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ വീണുകിടക്കുന്ന പഴം പെറുക്കുകയും അരുത്. അവയെ ദരിദ്രനും പരദേശിക്കും വിട്ടേക്കണം; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
You shall not glean your vineyard, neither shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard. You shall leave them for the poor and for the foreigner. I am Adonai your God.
“‘You shall not steal from, defraud, or lie to one another.
12 ൧൨ എന്റെ നാമത്തെക്കൊണ്ടു കള്ളസ്സത്യം ചെയ്തു നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നാമത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുത്; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
“‘You shall not swear by my name falsely, and profane the name of your God. I am Adonai.
13 ൧൩ കൂട്ടുകാരനെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കരുത്; അവനെ കൊള്ളയടിക്കുകയും അരുത്; കൂലിക്കാരന്റെ കൂലി പിറ്റേന്നു രാവിലെവരെ നിന്റെ പക്കൽ ഇരിക്കരുത്.
“‘You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. “‘The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning.
14 ൧൪ ചെകിടനെ ശപിക്കരുത്; കുരുടന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ തടസ്സം വെക്കരുത്; നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടണം; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
“‘You shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind; but you shall fear your God. I am Adonai.
15 ൧൫ ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തിൽ അന്യായം ചെയ്യരുത്; എളിയവന്റെ മുഖം നോക്കാതെയും വലിയവന്റെ മുഖം ആദരിക്കാതെയും നിന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനു നീതിയോടെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കണം.
“‘You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor show favoritism to the great; but you shall judge your neighbor uprightly.
16 ൧൬ നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ ഏഷണി പറഞ്ഞു നടക്കരുത്; നിന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ജീവനെതിരായി നീ നിലപാടെടുക്കരുത്; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
“‘You shall not go up and down as a slanderer among your people. “‘You shall not endanger the life of your neighbor. I am Adonai.
17 ൧൭ സഹോദരനെ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ദ്വേഷിക്കരുത്; കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ പാപം നിന്റെമേൽ വരാതിരിക്കുവാൻ അവനെ നിശ്ചയമായി ശാസിക്കണം. പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യരുത്.
“‘You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.
18 ൧൮ നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ മക്കളോടു പക വെക്കരുത്; കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെതന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കണം; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
“‘You shall not take vengeance or revenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall 'ahav ·affectionately love· your neighbor as yourself. I am Adonai.
19 ൧൯ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങൾ പ്രമാണിക്കണം. രണ്ടുതരം മൃഗങ്ങളെ തമ്മിൽ ഇണ ചേർക്കരുത്; നിന്റെ വയലിൽ കൂട്ടുവിത്തു വിതയ്ക്കരുത്; രണ്ടു വക സാധനം കലർന്ന വസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കരുത്.
“‘You shall keep my regulations. “‘You shall not cross-breed different kinds of animals. “‘You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed; “‘Don’t wear a garment made of two kinds of material.
20 ൨൦ ഒരു പുരുഷന് നിയമിച്ചവളും വീണ്ടെടുക്കപ്പെടുകയോ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം കിട്ടുകയോ ചെയ്യാത്തവളുമായ ഒരു ദാസിയോടുകൂടി ഒരുവൻ ശയിച്ചാൽ അവരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കണം. എന്നാൽ അവൾ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യമില്ലാത്തവളായതുകൊണ്ട് അവരെ കൊല്ലരുത്;
“‘If a man lies carnally with a woman who is a slave girl, pledged to be married to another man, and not ransomed, or given her freedom; they shall be punished. They shall not be put to death, because she was not free.
He shall bring his trespass offering to Adonai, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, even a ram for a trespass offering.
22 ൨൨ അവൻ ചെയ്ത പാപത്തിനായി പുരോഹിതൻ അകൃത്യയാഗത്തിന്റെ ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെക്കൊണ്ട് അവനുവേണ്ടി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിക്കണം; എന്നാൽ അവൻ ചെയ്ത പാപം അവനോട് ക്ഷമിക്കും.
The priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before Adonai for his sin which he has committed: and the sin which he has committed shall be forgiven him.
23 ൨൩ നിങ്ങൾ ദേശത്ത് എത്തി ഭക്ഷണത്തിന് ഉതകുന്ന സകലവിധ വൃക്ഷങ്ങളും നട്ടശേഷം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അവയുടെ ഫലം പരിച്ഛേദന കഴിയാത്തതുപോലെ ആയിരിക്കണം; അത് മൂന്നു വർഷത്തേക്ക് നിഷിദ്ധമായത് പോലെ ആയിരിക്കണം; അത് ഭക്ഷിക്കരുത്.
“‘When you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as forbidden. Three years they shall be forbidden to you. It shall not be eaten.
But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, for giving praise to Adonai.
25 ൨൫ അഞ്ചാം വർഷത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അതിന്റെ ഫലം ഭക്ഷിക്കാം; അങ്ങനെ അതിന്റെ അനുഭവം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വർദ്ധിച്ചുവരും; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
In the fifth year you shall eat its fruit, that it may yield its increase to you. I am Adonai your God.
“‘You shall not eat any meat with the blood still in it. You shall not use enchantments, nor practice sorcery.
“‘You shall not cut the hair on the sides of your head or clip off the edge of your beard.
28 ൨൮ മരിച്ചവനുവേണ്ടി നിങ്ങളുടെ ശരീരത്തിൽ മുറിവുണ്ടാക്കരുത്; ശരീരത്തിന്മേൽ പച്ചകുത്തരുത്; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
“‘You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you. I am Adonai.
29 ൨൯ ദേശം വേശ്യാവൃത്തി ചെയ്തു ദുഷ്കർമ്മംകൊണ്ടു നിറയാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിനു നിന്റെ മകളെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിക്ക് ഏല്പിക്കരുത്.
“‘Don’t profane your daughter, to make her a prostitute; lest the land fall to prostitution, and the land become full of wickedness.
30 ൩൦ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകൾ പ്രമാണിക്കുകയും എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തോടു ഭയഭക്തിയുള്ളവരായിരിക്കുകയും വേണം; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
“‘You shall keep my Sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary; I am Adonai.
31 ൩൧ വെളിച്ചപ്പാടന്മാരുടെയും മന്ത്രവാദികളുടെയും അടുക്കൽ പോകരുത്. അവരാൽ അശുദ്ധരായ്തീരുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവരെ അന്വേഷിക്കുകയും അരുത്. ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
“‘Don’t turn to those who are spirit-mediums, nor to the sorcerers. Don’t seek them out, to be defiled by them. I am Adonai your God.
32 ൩൨ നരച്ചവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുകയും വൃദ്ധന്റെ മുഖം ബഹുമാനിക്കയും നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും വേണം; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
“‘You shall rise up before the silver haired, and honor the face of an elder old man, and you shall fear your God. I am Adonai.
“‘If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong.
34 ൩൪ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടി പാർക്കുന്ന പരദേശി നിങ്ങൾക്ക് സ്വദേശിയെപ്പോലെ ആയിരിക്കണം; അവനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെതന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കണം; നിങ്ങളും ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ പരദേശികളായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall 'ahav ·affectionately love· him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery]. I am Adonai your God.
“‘You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length, of weight, or of quantity.
36 ൩൬ ശരിയായ തുലാസ്സും ശരിയായ കട്ടിയും ശരിയായ പറയും ശരിയായ ഇടങ്ങഴിയും നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
You shall have just balances, just weights, a just ephah [0.63 bushels; 5.9 gal; 22 L], and a just hin [0.98 gal; 3.7 L]. I am Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
“‘You shall observe all my regulations, and all my judgments, and do them. I am Adonai.’”
