ഇയ്യോബ് 7

1 ൧ മർത്യന് ഭൂമിയിൽ യുദ്ധസേവയില്ലയോ? അവന്റെ ജീവകാലം കൂലിക്കാരന്റെ ജീവകാലംപോലെ തന്നെ.

“Isn’t a man forced to labour on earth? Aren’t his days like the days of a hired hand?

2 ൨ വേലക്കാരൻ നിഴൽ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും കൂലിക്കാരൻ കൂലിക്ക് കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും

As a servant who earnestly desires the shadow, as a hireling who looks for his wages,

3 ൩ വ്യര്‍ത്ഥമാസങ്ങൾ എനിയ്ക്ക് അവകാശമായി വന്നു, കഷ്ടരാത്രികൾ എനിയ്ക്ക് ഓഹരിയായിത്തീർന്നു.

so I am made to possess months of misery, wearisome nights are appointed to me.

4 ൪ കിടക്കുന്നേരം: ഞാൻ എപ്പോൾ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കും എന്നു പറയുന്നു; രാത്രി ദീർഘിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; വെളുക്കുവോളം എനിക്കുരുളുക തന്നെ പണി.

When I lie down, I say, ‘When will I arise, and the night be gone?’ I toss and turn until the dawning of the day.

5 ൫ എന്റെ ദേഹം പുഴുവും മൺകട്ടയും പൊതിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ ത്വക്കിൽ പുൺവായകൾ അടഞ്ഞ് വീണ്ടും പഴുത്തുപൊട്ടുന്നു.

My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust. My skin closes up, and breaks out afresh.

6 ൬ എന്റെ നാളുകൾ നെയ്ത്തോടത്തിലും വേഗതയുള്ളത്; പ്രത്യാശകൂടാതെ അവ കഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു.

My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, and are spent without hope.

7 ൭ എന്റെ ജീവൻ ഒരു ശ്വാസം മാത്രം എന്നോർക്കണമേ; എന്റെ കണ്ണ് ഇനി നന്മയെ കാണുകയില്ല.

Oh remember that my life is a breath. My eye will no more see good.

8 ൮ എന്നെ കാണുന്നവന്റെ കണ്ണ് ഇനി എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല; യഹോവയുടെ കണ്ണ് എന്നെ നോക്കും; ഞാനോ, ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കും.

The eye of him who sees me will see me no more. Your eyes will be on me, but I will not be.

9 ൯ മേഘം ക്ഷയിച്ച് മാഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നതുപോലെ പാതാളത്തിലിറങ്ങുന്നവൻ വീണ്ടും കയറിവരുന്നില്ല. (Sheol h7585)

As the cloud is consumed and vanishes away, so he who goes down to Sheol will come up no more. (Sheol h7585)

10 ൧൦ അവൻ തന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിവരുകയില്ല; അവന്റെ ഇടം ഇനി അവനെ അറിയുകയുമില്ല.

He will return no more to his house, neither will his place know him any more.

11 ൧൧ ആകയാൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ വായടയ്ക്കുകയില്ല; എന്റെ മനഃപീഡയിൽ ഞാൻ സംസാരിക്കും; എന്റെ മനോവ്യസനത്തിൽ ഞാൻ സങ്കടം പറയും.

“Therefore I will not keep silent. I will speak in the anguish of my spirit. I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.

12 ൧൨ യഹോവ എനിക്ക് കാവലാക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഞാൻ കടലോ കടലാനയോ ആകുന്നുവോ?

Am I a sea, or a sea monster, that you put a guard over me?

13 ൧൩ എന്റെ കട്ടിൽ എന്നെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കും; എന്റെ മെത്ത എന്റെ വ്യസനം ശമിപ്പിക്കും എന്ന് ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞാൽ

When I say, ‘My bed will comfort me. My couch will ease my complaint,’

14 ൧൪ യഹോവ സ്വപ്നംകൊണ്ട് എന്നെ ഞെട്ടിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; ദർശനംകൊണ്ടും എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.

then you scare me with dreams and terrify me through visions,

15 ൧൫ ആകയാൽ ഞാൻ കഴുത്ത് ഞെരിഞ്ഞ് കൊല്ലപ്പെടുന്നതും ഈ അസ്ഥികൂടത്തേക്കാൾ മരണവും തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നു.

so that my soul chooses strangling, death rather than my bones.

16 ൧൬ ഞാൻ ജീവിതം വെറുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നേക്കും ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കയില്ല; എന്നെ വിടേണമേ; എന്റെ ജീവകാലം ഒരു ശ്വാസം മാത്രമല്ലോ.

I loathe my life. I don’t want to live forever. Leave me alone, for my days are but a breath.

17 ൧൭ മർത്യനെ നീ ഗണ്യമാക്കേണ്ടതിനും അവന്റെമേൽ ദൃഷ്ടിവക്കേണ്ടതിനും

What is man, that you should magnify him, that you should set your mind on him,

18 ൧൮ അവനെ രാവിലെതോറും സന്ദർശിച്ച് നിമിഷംതോറും പരീക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിനും അവൻ എന്തുള്ളു?

that you should visit him every morning, and test him every moment?

19 ൧൯ അങ്ങ് എത്രത്തോളം അവിടുത്തെ നോട്ടം എന്നിൽനിന്ന് മാറ്റാതിരിക്കും? ഞാൻ ഉമിനീർ ഇറക്കുന്നതുവരെ എന്നെ വിടാതെയുമിരിക്കും?

How long will you not look away from me, nor leave me alone until I swallow down my spittle?

20 ൨൦ ഞാൻ പാപം ചെയ്തുവെങ്കിൽ, മനുഷ്യപാലകനേ, ഞാൻ അവിടുത്തേക്ക് ചെയ്യുന്നു? ഞാൻ എനിയ്ക്ക് തന്നെ ഭാരമായിരിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ അങ്ങേക്ക് ലക്ഷ്യമായി വച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതെന്ത്?

If I have sinned, what do I do to you, you watcher of men? Why have you set me as a mark for you, so that I am a burden to myself?

21 ൨൧ എന്റെ അതിക്രമം അവിടുന്ന് ക്ഷമിക്കാതെയും അകൃത്യം മോചിക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നതെന്ത്? ഇപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ പൊടിയിൽ കിടക്കും; അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ അന്വേഷിച്ചാൽ ഞാൻ ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കും”.

Why do you not pardon my disobedience, and take away my iniquity? For now will I lie down in the dust. You will seek me diligently, but I will not be.”
