ഇയ്യോബ് 6

1 ൧ അതിന് ഇയ്യോബ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞത്:

Then Job answered and said,

2 ൨ “അയ്യോ എന്റെ വ്യസനം ഒന്ന് തൂക്കിനോക്കിയെങ്കിൽ! എന്റെ വിപത്ത് സ്വരൂപിച്ച് തുലാസിൽ വച്ചെങ്കിൽ!

Oh that my vexation were but weighed, and my calamity laid in the balances together!

3 ൩ അത് കടല്പുറത്തെ മണലിനേക്കാൾ ഭാരമേറിയതായിരിക്കും. അതുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ വാക്ക് തെറ്റിപ്പോകുന്നു.

For now it would be heavier than the sand of the seas: therefore have my words been rash.

4 ൪ സർവ്വശക്തനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ എന്നിൽ തറച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവയുടെ വിഷം എന്റെ ആത്മാവ് കുടിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭയങ്കരത എനിക്കെതിരെ അണിനിരന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, the poison whereof my spirit drinketh up: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.

5 ൫ പുല്ലുള്ളപ്പോൾ കാട്ടുകഴുത കരയുമോ? തീറ്റി തിന്നുമ്പോൾ കാള മുക്കുറയിടുമോ?

Doth the wild ass bray when he hath grass? or loweth the ox over his fodder?

6 ൬ രുചിയില്ലാത്തത് ഉപ്പുകൂടാതെ തിന്നാമോ? മുട്ടയുടെ വെള്ളയ്ക്ക് രുചിയുണ്ടോ?

Can that which hath no savour be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg?

7 ൭ തൊടുവാൻ എനിയ്ക്ക് വെറുപ്പ് തോന്നുന്നത് എനിയ്ക്ക് അറപ്പുള്ള ഭക്ഷണമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

My soul refuseth to touch [them]; they are as loathsome meat to me.

8 ൮ അയ്യോ, എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ സാധിച്ചെങ്കിൽ! എന്റെ വാഞ്ഛ ദൈവം എനിയ്ക്ക് നല്കിയെങ്കിൽ!

Oh that I might have my request; and that God would grant [me] the thing that I long for.

9 ൯ എന്നെ തകർക്കുവാൻ ദൈവം പ്രസാദിച്ചെങ്കിൽ! തൃക്കൈ നീട്ടി എന്നെ ഖണ്ഡിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞെങ്കിൽ!

Even that it would please God to crush me; that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!

10 ൧൦ അങ്ങനെ എനിയ്ക്ക് ആശ്വാസം ലഭിക്കുമായിരുന്നു; കനിവറ്റ വേദനയിൽ ഞാൻ ഉല്ലസിക്കുമായിരുന്നു. പരിശുദ്ധന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ ഞാൻ നിഷേധിച്ചിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ;

Then should I yet have comfort; yea, I would exult in pain that spareth not: for I have not denied the words of the Holy One.

11 ൧൧ ഞാൻ കാത്തിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് എനിക്ക് എന്ത് ശക്തി? ദീർഘക്ഷമ കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന് എന്റെ അന്തം എന്ത്?

What is my strength, that I should wait? and what is mine end, at I should be patient?

12 ൧൨ എന്റെ ബലം കല്ലിന്റെ ബലമോ? എന്റെ മാംസം താമ്രമാകുന്നുവോ?

Is my strength the strength of stones? or is my flesh of brass?

13 ൧൩ ഞാൻ കേവലം തുണയില്ലാത്തവനല്ലയോ? രക്ഷ എന്നെ വിട്ടുപോയില്ലയോ?

Is it not that I have no help in me, and that effectual working is driven quite from me?

14 ൧൪ ദുഃഖിതനോട് സ്നേഹിതൻ ദയ കാണിക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അവൻ സർവ്വശക്തനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭയം ത്യജിക്കും.

To him that is ready to faint kindness [should be shewed] from his friend; even to him that forsaketh the fear of the Almighty.

15 ൧൫ എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ ഒരു തോടുപോലെ എന്നെ ചതിച്ചു; വറ്റിപ്പോകുന്ന തോടുകളുടെ ശാഖപോലെ തന്നെ.

My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, as the channel of brooks that pass away;

16 ൧൬ നീർക്കട്ടകൊണ്ട് അവ കലങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു; ഹിമം അവയിൽ ഉരുകി കാണാതെപോകുന്നു.

Which are black by reason of the ice, [and] wherein the snow hideth itself:

17 ൧൭ ചൂടുപിടിക്കുന്നേരം അവ വറ്റിപ്പോകുന്നു; ഉഷ്ണം ആകുമ്പോൾ അവ അവിടെനിന്ന് പൊയ്പോകുന്നു.

What time they wax warm, they vanish: when it is hot, they are consumed out of their place.

18 ൧൮ കച്ചവടസംഘങ്ങൾ വഴി വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു ചെല്ലുന്നു; അവ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ചെന്ന് നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നു.

The caravans [that travel] by the way of them turn aside; they go up into the waste, and perish.

19 ൧൯ തേമയുടെ കച്ചവടസംഘങ്ങൾ തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കുന്നു; ശെബയുടെ യാത്രാഗണം അവക്കായി പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

The caravans of Tema looked, the companies of Sheba waited for them.

20 ൨൦ പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് അവർ ലജ്ജിക്കുന്നു; അവിടംവരെ ചെന്ന് നാണിച്ചു പോകുന്നു.

They were ashamed because they had hoped; they came thither, and were confounded.

21 ൨൧ നിങ്ങളും ഇപ്പോൾ അതുപോലെ ആയി വിപത്ത് കണ്ടിട്ട് നിങ്ങൾ പേടിക്കുന്നു.

For now ye are nothing; ye see a terror, and are afraid.

22 ൨൨ എനിയ്ക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു തരുവിൻ; നിങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പത്തിൽനിന്ന് എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി കൈക്കൂലി കൊടുക്കുവിൻ;

Did I say, Give unto me? or, offer a present for me of your substance?

23 ൨൩ വൈരിയുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കുവിൻ; നിഷ്ഠൂരന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കുവിൻ എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

Or, Deliver me from the adversary’s hand? or, Redeem me from the hand of the oppressors?

24 ൨൪ എന്നെ ഉപദേശിക്കുവിൻ; ഞാൻ മിണ്ടാതെയിരിക്കാം; ഏതിൽ തെറ്റിപ്പോയെന്ന് എനിയ്ക്ക് ബോധം വരുത്തുവിൻ.

Teach me, and I will hold my peace: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred.

25 ൨൫ നേരുള്ള വാക്കുകൾക്ക് എത്ര ബലം! നിങ്ങളുടെ ശാസനയ്ക്കോ എന്ത് ഫലം?

How forcible are words of uprightness! but what doth your arguing reprove?

26 ൨൬ വാക്കുകളെ ആക്ഷേപിക്കുവാൻ വിചാരിക്കുന്നുവോ? ആശയറ്റവന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ കാറ്റിന് തുല്യമത്രേ.

Do ye imagine to reprove words? seeing that the speeches of one that is desperate are as wind.

27 ൨൭ അനാഥന് നിങ്ങൾ ചീട്ടിടുന്നു; സ്നേഹിതനെക്കൊണ്ട് കച്ചവടം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Yea, ye would cast [lots] upon the fatherless, and make merchandise of your friend.

28 ൨൮ ഇപ്പോൾ ദയചെയ്ത് എന്നെ ഒന്ന് നോക്കുവിൻ; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മുഖത്തു നോക്കി ഭോഷ്കുപറയുമോ?

Now therefore be pleased to look upon me; for surely I shall not lie to your face.

29 ൨൯ ഒന്നുകൂടി നോക്കുവിൻ; നീതികേട് ഭവിക്കരുത്. ഒന്നുകൂടെ നോക്കുവിൻ; എന്റെ കാര്യം നീതിയുള്ളത് തന്നേ.

Return, I pray you, let there be no injustice; yea, return again, my cause is righteous.

30 ൩൦ എന്റെ നാവിൽ അനീതിയുണ്ടോ? എന്റെ വായ് അനർത്ഥം തിരിച്ചറിയുകയില്ലയോ?

Is there injustice on my tongue? cannot my taste discern mischievous things?
